  • Our lettuce is looking amazing, but the best part is that you can grow your lettuce the same way! It is easy to do, and produces tons of food in a small space. Check out our new clothing line! http:www.freshpickedapparel.com

Thank you for the great explanation and demo. To summarize: plant rows 4"apart so plants self-support each other. Sow seeds 1/4-1/2" apart so they self-cull. Make sure soil is loose, very fertile, and well-draining. Fertilize heavily in top 1" when sowing. Deep water so that roots grow down, rather than across in a competition for water. Cut and come again 2-3" above soil surface level with a very sharp knife. You may get 4-8 harvests/season depending on the length of your growing season.

The reason why I love your channel so much is that you provide a logical framework and broad ideas that are infinitely applicable in a different variety of plants. These concepts increase a gardeners knowledge in an almost exponential way. I first thought of this when watching your video about planting depth a few days ago but see it throughout your content.

Palapper are you talking about lettuce. You can’t grow it in Texas in the summer. You and grow it all through the winter. I use boxes to grow it in. Plastic storage boxes. If it is going to rain, snow, sleet, I put the lid on. As soon as the weather is clear, I take lid off. If it’s going to freeze, lid goes on and some garden fleece to keep them warmer.

What timing. I just cut tango leaf lettuce from the garden today. Grown from seeds from your store. Delicious. :)

Always so helpful and informative. Thanks to you I have my first SUPERB radishes, I plunged them with confidence into the cold soil in February and now they're wonderful (it's mid April in the UK). Thank you Luke and please keep them coming.

beautiful garden as always! My lettuce this year did really well. I am excited for next year to have several different lettuces instead of the one I had this year. :D
