Had my brilliant for 4 months now and it's my favorite. Can't say anything bad and it's soooo quiet. My friends can't believe how quiet. Love love love it!!!!❤
I think this is the perfect machine. I have had mine for almost a year and I absolutely LOVE it !! So many wonderful features that I I am still learning to use. This is definitely the machine that I am going to grow into for years to come.
YES! It is such a good machine and so many features I feel like I’m underutilizing all that it can do! 😅💛 it will be with me for years and years to come!!
I just purchased this machine last year. I love it!! It is so easy ti use. I got it for the auto button holes because the old machine that I had did not have that feature. I highly recommend it.
Nice machine! Can you alter the decorative stiches to make them big and long enough to quilt your quit like the long arm machines out there most people can't afford?
You can make the decorative stitches larger but it’s not going to give the huge effect like a long arm quilting would. But it has so many great designs 💛
I purchased it in September and love it but I have a hard time putting in new feet or changing the needle because I feel like I can’t get my hand underneath, anyone else have that problem?
I’m looking at getting a new sewing machine here soon. I inherited my husband’s grandmother sewing machine. It was a Bernina. I was making masks for my kids the the mother board (not sure if that what they call it on sewing machines) started to smell like smoke. So I unplugged it for a couple of days and now it won’t turn back on. I’m looking for a sewing machine that can embroider and a basic sewing. What do you recommend on getting? Thanks.
Hi there, I was just wondering if your machine works ok with a metal bobbin ? I was told that a plastic bobbin was the only thing that should go into this machine !
I’ve accidentally used them before and didn’t have issues but it is highly recommended that you don’t use metal bobbins and only use the bobbins that are made for the machine. For the Brilliant you should use the X52800-120 which is Class15 type bobbin. I hope that helps! I’m sorry for the confusion 💛
You are correct. In this video I just grabbed the first bobbin I saw and didn’t think much of it. But you should always use the bobbin that is made for the machine. In this case it is the X52800-120 which is Class15 type bobbin. I’m sorry for the confusion. Thank you for pointing that out and clarifying. 💛
Can you please tell me how can I lift the pressure foot. After I was done sewing I wanted to lift it and I couldn't is there something I need to do first. I am getting so frustrated. Thank you.
Can you tell me how do you lift the pressure foot up?. This is so different than a reg sewing machine. I think this is so complicated for me. I was told by a repairman to not use the metal bobbins. They came with my singer machine. He said use plastic 15. You put the bobbin in different than I do with my machines. I put in that thread comes out over not like you did under. So I need to do like you did on this machine?
It can be really tricky! I hope you were able to figure it out before now but if not it’s going to be right behind the pressure foot on the back there is a lever that lifts it, it’s grey, so if you look at the back of the machine you can see it.
It doesn't lift up I tried and I didn't want to force it. I have to download something for it to to update. If I would have known that I would not have bought one. @@mysewbliss
I suggest talking to a local Baby Lock distributor to get the best price possible. You can go to the Baby Lock site and type in your zip code to find the closest one to you!!
Need help diagnosing the cause of the “clacking” sound, like metal hitting metal on my machine. Tried new bobbin, new needle, re-threading……none work. It seems it could be bobbin related because the stitch on the back of the fabric is all bunched up.Thank you.
Bent needle, change it and make sure that needle is All the way up. Rethread machine.if sound persists see technician. Also take advantage of the classes that comes with your purchase.
I’ve had this happen when I wasn’t extra careful with the thread placement between #4 and #5 while threading the machine. Her comment that you should “look inside the top to make sure the lever is as high as it can go” was very helpful.
Hope you found a solution to this! All these comments are great things to check. If none of those fix the issue I would take it into a shop. Maybe a broken piece of a needle is stuck in there.💛💛

I bought a Bernina in 1975 and was told it would last 20yrs and it did and couldn’t be fixed 🤷♀️

Wow you two
It’s a great machine! 💛
Is there a way to have both threads finish on top of the fabric?
Can you please tell me how can I lift the pressure foot. After I was done sewing I wanted to lift it and I couldn't is there something I need to do first. I am getting so frustrated. Thank you.
You should be able to use the lever on the back to lift the pressure foot.
Do you know how to remove the lid to put on the 2 spool thread stand . I’m use to using larger thread cones and I need to figure it out.
I’m going to film a short for this to show how to do it! Hopefully you have found out already but that’s a great question! 💛
Is there a spot that shows the stitch count somebody asked?I was curious where
Not that I know of but I’m going to do some research and let you know cause I would love to know this too!

I just want to know about the.Buttonhole 0:16 maker!
I want one of those but they’re not sold in Australia or to Australia - so irritating
An I’m so sorry, I hope they start selling there 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Can it do pintucks ?
You could definitely sew pin tucks on this machine
What is the price for this machine?

Is your bobbin inserted going the correct direction? The diagram shows how.

Where is Baby lock manufacture?
They are manufactured in Japan
Your bright fingernail colors are distracting. Lol
Good to know; thanks!
Great instructions, but I found your fake nails incredibly distracting. You might consider fresh nails in one color.
