How, game mechanics are still the same old boring stuff from 22. Nothing innovative in terms of new forms of game mechanics. Swath still looks 2D. I bet there are no uses for water other than filling a rice field. Productions are still the same. They can add 100 new productions and it would still be the same old unfulfilling experience.

Production transfers could be improved if you could change the inbound products. For example- allow milk to be accepted in the dairy and not allow sugar. Similar to the outbound options just different options

One thing people overlook alot of times. If you want buy the collectors/ premium edition of a AAA game it is $100+ for a game that is usually bashed by most. With fs25 it's $70 with a good amount of physical extras.
I think one thing people overlook a lot is just cause something isn't shipping in the base game at launch, doesn't mean it's never coming. If you remember for FS22 at launch, GIANTS simultaneously released offical free mod and dlc packs containing equipment that weren't in the launched game. This is because you can only fit so much in the file of the base game. So i expect we'll see something similar here, such as a few GIANTS swathing pack or machines that were in FS22 but had to be cut due to file size limitations

Years ago a friend of mine suggested FS17 and since it was on game pass I tried it. I sucked and couldn't get into it. Later when FS22 was on game pass I tried it and by watching a bunch of videos I got into it. I have preordered FS25 with the year one pass and am looking forward to playing it as well. (On console if you add in the year one pass you get the New Holland CR11 Gold Edition along with the MacDon Pack.)

I’m really curious about the landscape modes, specifically if it will get any subtle updates. I found the most fun I had in the game was the landscape tool, building detailed working farms or logging/construction builds. Then playing off of what I built.
I am a huge fan of farm sim. However a couple things I would love to see is major car brands like ford, Chevy and dodge. I would also like to see crop dusting that’s a huge part of farming where I am from. Would also like to see more interaction with like tractor repairs. Maybe even some interactions with NPC
Its difficult to say as we havent really had dlcs add this many new gameplay elements but i suspect we're going to see at least the productions from all the dlcs return, historically the important bits from a dlc have always been brought over to the new game, so expect to see Göweil, Horsch, DeWulf and Kubota to return to FS25 as well, perhaps not all the machines we've had before but they'll almost definitely come back.

Thank you for your direct video. I am contemplating very hard if I will buy this on PC or on PS5. I play FS22 on PS4 because I love playing it lying down on the couch, but man the features that are not available on consoles are astronomical. There was so much that I missed out on.
I wouldn't say that FS22 and 25 are not "remotely compatible". The majority of the engine changes are visual, so the core code is there. Converting an FS22 mod, for example, shouldn't be too difficult to do. FS25 may be a new house, but it's the same foundation. Just wanted to make this clear, because while it is definitely far more than a reskin...it is very much the same game.
They don't add more crops because they need to save more crops to add to the next game release to make the next game release worth while. Thats my guess.

I am still debating on getting FS25. Sure some of these features sound amazing like GPS and basically course play for console now, But the fact that we still are only getting 2x maps on console with a ps5 and xbox series x consoles is Kind of ridicoulus. The fact that its fan base has been asking for brand name vehicles for a while now and they don't want to get the licence for it hurts. And no precision farming at launch when it was a great mod in fs19 and a dumb down version on fs22... I don't get why they don't just build it into the game. they had since 2022 to build it. Also the fact the Mac Don stuff not being available unless you pre order the game is a terrible idea.
I see your point, let me help clear a couple things up. We actually dont know if we will get bigger maps on console. The base game ones will always be this small, GIANTS has stated that but it may be very possible for a modded 4x map to be on consoles. Precision farming is not actually owned by GIANTS, several comapnies to include John Deere made it for FS22 in cooperation with GIANTS. So unless they allow GIANTS to use it or make another deal with GIANTS it can't return. Its definitely something I hope to see again and hope tp see worked out with GIANTS in the future but we will have to wait and see.
Great video, as always.I will add.I wish that they would add peanuts to the game. You can make so many Is different products with peanuts. Also wish that mods (installed or modhub) would be alphabetical order so it's easier to find.
I hope if rolling is still in the game that they have a way to turn that requirement off as it affects yield, or better yet, have it satisfied by the planter/seeder itself.
I would assume that the twisters would affect your equipment because when dj was playing the demo they wouldn’t let him take off the cultivator he was using. + i hope they change how the mod folders work
+ do you think it would be possible that we could get a path building system like the one in manner Lords sometime in the future. I think this would help farms look a lot less clunky
If we do get access to 4x maps, do you think there would be a licensing/branding issue with some of the maps like UMRV, County Line, etc. due to them having real-life stores & restaurant brands? Either way, it will be nice to have access to 4x maps and I hope the AI is better for solo players like myself. Even if it's field only at least we can do all of the on-road stuff while they work the fields. Also hopefully on top of increasing the slot count they will give us more mod storage so we can install mods for other servers without having to delete our personal stuff.
Yes the branded stores would 100% be a problem for consoles. But im sure if the modders have the time to it wouldnt be super hard to remove the branding. It would take a while tho
Will joysticks be supported on consoles in fs25 and be configurable like on PC? Will you be able to terraform and paint anywhere on consoles, so you don't have to remove a building every time the land is not flat? and will Mobs from fs22 work on fs25
please recomend horses to be a bigger feature in the game, it would be awesome if you they had a more in depth training or having traits to improve them into certain "career paths" like racing, show jumping etc and it could be that sending them off to participate in such events (as a simulation they are just gone for a while) they return with rewards, bonus income and/or even injuries and extra fees... if you have any connection with giant or a way of putting this suggestion forward it would be amazing please let me know
This is not out of negativity, but it is a reskin. And it is the same engine. The same Giants engine, just with a new number to support the few features that were added to FS25. And thirdly, they don't focus enough on improving the engine. Its great that they keep their own engine because its good for what it is, and its solid, its just that they need to actually focus on improving it. The physics, lag, and optimization have not been focused on.

You can use flashers on console. You just need a controller with enough buttons. My friend has an xbox elite controller and he uses one of his paddles to turn them on
It is quite a pain but if you haven't already I'd recommend checking out the CSZ pack mod, it adds a ton of tools for wheel loaders, telehandlers and skid steers. In my experience they work a lot better than standard attachments, and they even have one tool that's just a bar with tension straps, it has been very helpful with bales and I'm sure it would work well for logs too.
Will the dedicated servers be available at launch day? I took some days off to play it with friends but not sure if dedicated servers are available on launch day.
So there wont be any upgrade to making this games more detailed and simulationed. At least they can upgrade their basics and make more complicated. Why are Giant trying to meet expectations of casual players? They usually get stuck in 10th hour.

What are the new breeds of animals on FS25? Does anyone know? FS 19 had a lot more breeds of animals such as brahman cattle. Fs 22 was a disappointlent until some modders added new breeds of animals.
I think it would be cool if they did a "Farmer's Life" career mode where you start on your family's farm while you're in 4H or FFA or something and you get one small field and a small tractor and some livestock to raise and show at the fair. Then as you get older you wind up inheriting the farm and working your way up to larger equipment and unlocking new crops to plant through experience.
To anyone complaining about price or the potential of a reskin. You could always go play the 10 year long reskin called call of duty that's double the price and can only be enjoyed till next year. We'll be genuinely enjoying this game for the next 3 years. Do the math yourself.

Irrigation is more common than a twister ripping through your crops every year! I think not doing irrigation is kind of dumb.

On PC you can already 4k in FS22 it will be difficult on console. AFAIK the PS5 Pro should be able to handle 4k maps with upscaling with FSR/PSSR/

I’m not sure if you went over it or if I just wasn’t paying attention but if you use a plow to create fields will that affect GPS?
It will in a good way, if you modify/make new fields GPS will adjust for it

Yes
I think it would be cool if they did a "Farmer's Life" career mode where you start on your family's farm while you're in 4H or FFA or something and you get one small field and a small tractor and some livestock to raise and show at the fair. Then as you get older you wind up inheriting the farm and working your way up to larger equipment and unlocking new crops to plant through experience.
I always wondered why they never incorporated some kind of story mode or campaign.
Seems like it could be fun for starting maps with a campaign.

I dont know about FS22 but I have 6000 in FS19 so I would assune about that for FS22

To anyone complaining about price or the potential of a reskin.
You could always go play the 10 year long reskin called call of duty that's double the price and can only be enjoyed till next year.
We'll be genuinely enjoying this game for the next 3 years.
