I live in Saskatchewan I use my new 300 Weatherby vanguard with 180 grain bullet this year I have killed a meal there a Whitetail the mule deer deer wet up at two maybe 50 yards and my white tail won’t drop in the tracks but the whole does a lot of damage
Polar bear in Canada off of a dog sled with a 70 pound long bow, 3 inch knapped obsidian heads tied with senew, 600 grain forgewood shafts with turkey feathers and self knocks.
I hunted with a 6.5 creedmoor, and had success with it for sure! The same type of thing happened to me on a mature 8 point hit directly behind the shoulder with the 143 grain ELD-X bullet. He ran 350-450 yards spraying blood and was partially alive when I found him. The bullet did not pass through and I knew then I would not deer hunt with it again. I recently switched to the .300 Weatherby mag with 180 grain nosler accubonds. I harvested a PA Black Bear, and 215 pound 7 point with no track jobs! Speed kills!
@hot Corner Outdoors The 143 Eldx is basically the same as the A max designed for varmint game. If you shoot a good bullet like a nosler partition federal fusion or any other bonded bullet you will have pass through every time with the 6.5
The new federal terminal ascent is a great deer or medium game bullet.
I shot 2 deer with my 7mm mag using the eldx and no pass thru I will not use them on deer again
Typical for people who want to complain about a cartridge. Use a bullet that is constructed horribly and then blame the cartridge. Jeez I wonder why the 180gr accubond does better, maybe because it's a bonded bullet designed to penetrate well and not a glorified target bullet.

Hunting with my Dad, probably for Elk in Colorado or New Mexico. He has gone before and never got anything when I was young, but would be fun to go with him and watch the old man take down a giant.

Great video, I was able to close this past rifle season with 2 doe. This coming rifle season I'm going ro try and get tagged out with 1 buck and 4 doe here where I live.

300 win mag is my personal go to. Deer don't go very far after being with with that freight train
Idk about that, I saw 2 deer shot with a 338 and 1 with a 300 wby. All lung shot, 2 with 210gr partitions and the weatherby was a 130gr ttsx. The 2 shot with the 338 went 50-60yds, one with a 10x14 inch wound in the ribcage on entrance. The one shot with the 300 went about 110yds into a swamp with a 3" hole in both lungs.

The 2 man drives can be successful, the 1 man drives however not so much. lol
Any RUclipsr shoots a 6.5 deer will run away after being shot
I've seen them run away from 338 win mags and 300 weatherbys. I've also seen them drop in their tracks with creedmoors and 243s.
