Levi got lucky he hit the main artery on the Rear Quarters on that buck.. It was a quick kill, but damn man what a waste of meat and with that rifle set up and 120yds that was a gimme shot! But way to go Levi! Hell of a nice 9 point but please check the sights your shooting way left you can see the bullets hit the snow, and if that scope is on practice practice practice.

I know everyone is different and entitled to their own ways of hunting and providing but that first shot on the deer, being so casual with "yeah we shot it, little blood but were gonna leave". Just extremely unethical in my mind. No respect for the game you're pursuing. Taking a shot when it's at a full sprint with a scoped gun just makes zero sense in my mind. I am all for hunting and providing food, but not for recklessness and the blatant disregard for an injured animal.

Eigbrett Outdoors couldn’t agree more. I was hunting with my buddy and he said to take a shot with his 7 mag ( I hunt with my 270 and rarely miss) but since he’s my buddy I was like ok I’ll use the mag. 3 doe come out 30 min after first light and it not a good excuse but I have never shot his gun nor a 7 mag. But I managed to pull to the right when aiming behind its shoulder and it’s leg blew clean off. It ran into posted property and asked owner to go dispatch and remove animal and called me a piece of shit and to get off his property which I respected. I still feel so sickened and terrible for the animal and will never forgive myself for it. From now on I’m using the firearm I am comfortable with.

Totally agree. So glad my pops was really hard on me and I was taught how to actually hunt. We drive too but I’ve killed more deer still hunting & sneaking by myself. A three year old can sit on his nuts and wait for someone else to bounce one to him. Plus who wants to hunt with another person standing right next to you unless it’s a kid, what’s more some douche constantly talking? Pretty sad shooting too, running full steam at 50 yds is not a hard shot and these deer weren’t really carrying the mail, only going about half speed. These dummies give me douche chills.

C'mon man you cant just shoot a doe then as soon after walking 100 yards and not finding blood stop looking for it. You should've kept tracking it and if you really couldn't find it get dogs down there and don't shoot another deer without finding the doe. You don't even wait 2-3 hours before going and retrieving the deer you just go right after it which is what NOT to do the deer will just keep running away cause it will now your after it. You guys are way to reckless and are vlogging half the time like your Logan Paul or something. You are completely wrong with the statement "You know with a big buck or a bear you have to keep shooting till that thing stops" that is absolutely false, if you miss more than twice you need to put the gun down and calm down because that's how you shoot a deer and badly hurt it so it has a long painful death which is completely unfair to the animal. You are completely experienced hunters and don"t deserve your channel i am honestly disgusted that you call yourself a hunter

My thoughts are from shot gun hunting over the years it's hard to hit a running deer especially in brush but to do it at the speed the first doe was running with a rifle and scope that isn't an ethical shot.. If you say it was you shouldn't hunt also to give up that quick on a deer is sad

At home watching hunting videos because of covid 19. This is real hunting! If you say you never missed or crippled a deer, your either inexperienced or a liar. Remember, this is a edited video. We dont know how much effort they or the other guys on the drive put into finding that doe. We also dont know how many times he hit the buck. Deer dont always drop on the spot even with a good shot in the vitals. As far as shooting at a running deer with a rifle, if the deer would have done a "head over heels" roll, most people would comment something like"this guys an awesome shot!", but because he may have missed by inches, there are so many negative responses. Ethical wildlife management looks different in different parts of the country because of terrain, length of season, time of year and so on. In some areas in pa, deer season is closed during peak rut activity, and there is no baitng allowed. It can be tough to pattern deer in nothing but public land forest in December! Great video! Exciting to watch! By the way I live and hunt in south central pa!

Great hunt and video guys. I really enjoyed it. I need to hook up with you guys some time lol. Those deer drives are insane on how many shots and deer you kick out. Just crazy. Reminds me of how it was when I was much younger. Where I hunt occasionally we use to kick so many deer out. Now hardly any. I also need to figure out how to get the following you all have. Again congrats on all of your success this season. Be Safe and Shoot Straight !!

I have to say that was a really good video. I’m from Illinois but due to retirement I hunted deer in Minnesota, Missouri and Illinois. I am a meat hunter because I like venison. Period. Being able to hunt in these three places I love the sound of friends and family shooting. That really makes my day. I’m interested in the rifle and caliber you used. Thanks. Great job.

Buck fever is real bud even I got antsy. It's hard to stay calm when a big shooter is in the sights but with some time you will get it.
Very nice buck. Everyone that made negative comments probably have never done a deer drive. Here in ohio it's mostly guys with smootbore slug guns so y'alls shootin looks good compared to some I've seen lol

  • @bradleywinans5684

Also, the .30-30 Winchester lever action or a shotgun with slugs and open sights is a great brush gun for your specific hunting situation that you might want to consider. Thanks again to you good ol' fellas in PA. Stay focused on Jesus and The Bible, as we have eternal hope in Jesus THE Christ.
P.S. Im a non-denominational Christian and focused on a right relationship with THE KING of kings and am so thankful to be able to hunt, fish, forrage and enjoy HIS creation we have been blessed with :)
Keep it real and keep on reelin that camera bro!

Ok, so ive read thru many of the comments here after viewing your personal hunt experience and find it interesting how most people are focused in the negative aspects of your posted footage. Yes, i agree some sloppy and crazy shhotin as well as poor muzzle control (as i saw the muzzle of ur slung riflr swing by other people in ur party, which always makes me cringe as well.) I too am all about the 1 shot mentality and "aim small miss small" On the POSITIVE side, great camera work man, you guys are working together and communicating and getting youth out in the woods and I heard that red bearded fella express his heart of thankfulness to God :) Good on ya guys and thanks for sharing. Hey, lets all be honest here and admit that none of us were born with Annie Oakly skills and have had some bad misses. Ur buddy stuck with that buck and dropped him dead and what a nice buck that didnt go too far, congrats man. Hope you guys can get Cody back out there and focus on teaching him to be an ethical hunter by your own actions. We all have room for improvement and i did NOT harvest a whitetail this year where i live in Idaho as i passed up many shots and only shot once, which was a complete miss. I usually take 1 shot and drop a deer, pass, or completely miss. Ive never wounded a deer and lost it. Anywho, BIG Shout out to you PA boys back East from Idaho and God Bless you all in the most precious name of Jesus! :)
P.S. Thanks for being real and sharing your hunt, which made me think, got me excited, made me smile and cringe all in one.
Happy Holy Days to you fellas And Merry CHRISTmas to ya from the Clearwater region of Idaho!
B-Dub, your brother in Christ :)
