Without an OL does it matter?
DJ is a better QB then half the QB’s in the league if you think that’s a hot take then you don’t know football or watch film, he had a bad year last year also got injured and had the worst o line in the league and broke a record for most sacks allowed in a single season so yeah I would say it’s not DJ fault, he beat Kirk and 13-4 Vikings in the playoffs the year before had 301 passing yards, 2 touchdowns no interceptions and 80 yards rushing, he also led the league that year with fewest interceptions

Are you sure about that? Especially coming off an ACL tear and without his running ability he’s absolutely terrible. If You take away his rushing yards and TDs in 2022 he’s sitting on the couch and not in the league anymore.

@@dcc2199 he took us to the playoffs and won a playoff game with a Invisible O Line and the legend of Golladay as our WR1. Wym lol if you had anybody else behind that line with no weapons their career would be over let alone go to the playoffs. Look at this last year. We couldn’t keep 3 different QB’s more than 2 quarters. He is the only bright spot we got. You’ll see this upcoming year that this man is special and he is only getting better because of his persistence work ethic.

But you're right, what do I know? I just saw JJ McCarthy go 27-1 as a starting QB in Division 1. Only the third best ever record for starting QBs with a minimum of 25 starts. And he has won everywhere he's been. But apparently you're the expert.

@@jasonmahr5397 One meaningless playoff win doesn’t make him a good QB that Vikings defense was awful. Lots of bad QBs win playoff games lol. Tim Tebo, Blake Bortles so on. This is not somebody you pay 40 million a year DJ has to elevate the play of his team. All those quarterbacks are far superior and any true giant fan would take them in the heartbeat over DJ. We don’t care about players we care about the team and this team doesn’t win consistently with this quarterback, with five years of evidence.
@@daya8270 Go research where the Giants OL ranked each year from 2019-2023 and then get back to me. And this entire time the best WR he’s ever had was Darius Slayton btw. Daniel Jones did lead the NYG to a playoff appearance + playoff win in 2022 with a Bottom 5 OL and the league’s worst receiving corps. We can toss 2023 out the window because everything went wrong.
@@jasonmahr5397 Dude he’s with a quarterback guru and he only throw for 15 touchdowns in 2022. His backups played better than him. I watched it with the same team minus a few players. He’s OK to mid but he’s not worth a $40 million contract a year contract and you’ll see that this year. He’s also very injury-prone. I appreciate the civil conversation, but I'm not a believer. He’s had a lot of opportunities despite the offensive line, other QBs excel with bad offensive lines, all the time. DJ doesn’t take shots down fields. He stares down his first read we’ll see who’s right this season. I think the team will crash and burn and they’ll be looking for a quarterback next year. I’m not a player guy I’m a team guy and I want a consistently winning franchise.
