Ingress | A Solo 6-Layer Homogeneous Field

- On a warm Sunday morning, my alarm rang at 2:30am. I'd already been awake for 1 minute.
It was double AP, and time to make some fields. Specifically, 364 fields in the pattern of a six-layer homogeneous field.
The fielding was done completely solo, Agent 57Cell did all the planning, key farming, intel, clearing, deploying linking and fielding. All, except for a single SoftBank Ultra Link Amp, placed by agent @ekg the day before.
Six-layer homogeneous fields are, some say, the pinnacle of technical fielding.

Great work Agent... This reminds me of the "good 'ol days" of Ingress... I used to be super dedicated and would plan crazy solo ops like this for myself... I got burned out and moved almost half way around the globe and missed the community I left... Getting back into it slowly... Motivates me to maybe plan something for myself local

This is the most impressive work so far in the game, as far as I know. It'll be hard for anyone to do better. I assume you yourself, have something cooking for next year 😉

Thats awesome, it just proves its not that hard to build in ingress, if you plan everything and do things clinically, you can even get away with a mistake or two

I have been proud of my recent building but this takes it to a whole new level! Even with a relatively small player base though my creations get broken within an hour or two.

We have a war memorial like that in our area. Over 200 portals in 2.5 mi / 4km. Had to take it down for PokeGo because too many people driving and playing at the same time.
@@rabidbuddha4328 wow. I can imagine an almost endless line of pokestops. Doing just a few laps would probably get you gear for 1 month worth

We reached L5 and a bit, befor an opposing agent killed a single portal in the middle.

@@57Cell We will. The OP was meant as good bye for a fellow agent that moved to another city. We where 10 fieldagents + operator. Next try we will do overnight with two agents only. :)

Wow. Congratulations. What software do you use to do the linking animation? We’ve done a 4 layer and I hope to do 5 layers soon. We have so many new portals around us and things are quiet enough that I hope it will only take 2 or 3 players.
I use some software I wrote myself. You might be able to find an older version if you search for 57Cell GitHub
A HCL5 with 3 players is very easily doable. We did one with 3 agents in 45 minutes
Didn't you find any other agents throughout hole the gameplay??? Congrats =)
It was surprisingly quiet. By the end, there were some RES players out and about, but fortunately they didn't block anything.

404 links total, and about 420+(?) fields. I mention it towards the end of the video. When I've finished the written report, all the stats will be there, and I'll put a link to it in the video description

I used Strava, then there are websites to convert a Strava track into a video

Are you allowed to say what software you used ? I would love to use that to plan a H6 field myself.
