After watching your videos on microfielding, my fields number has skyrocketed. Thankyou! And I agree, grinding for keys is by far the longest part of the whole process.

Good video with great graphics to visualize the concepts. I have a portal that I travel by multiple times a day that I use as an anchor because I'm always hacking it for keys. It's helpful to have at least one anchor with nearly unlimited keys.
I've got a long herringbone with the spine and anchor located in a hard to reach place but the second anchor on a busy street where local agents commute. The easy access anchor gets hit 4~5 times a day and I get to rethrow my 35 or so fields each time

I do fanfields for years but never thought that ADA Refactor (as an Enlightement player) can be an useful tool to create even more fields in a short time, I always waited a raiding Resistance player to destroy all my fields so I can re-create them all :) However you'll also need lots of Softbank Ultra Link mods if you want to link more than 8 portals from the anchor, which is petty hard to find or create with the kinetic kapsule, it would be better if I'd found this video before the Optima Kinetic Capsule Challenget, hope it was not an one-time event.
I admit I hated this event due to work in another county, time-sensitive areas such as cemeteries, parks and trails, and, more importantly, the fact that I am the sole active agent in a community with over 300 portals. I don't draw many ADAs or JARVIS', so using them to kill lots of anchors was not going to be an option. So, 800 fields was going to be problematic right away. Thankfully, the first set of portals (which gave me 121 fields right off the bat) were lit up the night before the event began, so I had the right amount of keys I needed right off the bat. It was the following days that were a killer. I even had to go to the community where I work at to knock off another 100 or so fields. Once the first round of portals had decayed, I went back and began the process all over again, this time using Softbank Ultra Links. The second round also went quicker since I kept some leftover keys. I finished last night at 688. In 2 and a half hours this afternoon, I managed to hit 801. And the first I did when I got home? A much-needed nap. LOL
Very helpful reminders and I appreciate that this one is concise, too. Niantic seems to have lost their minds on the levels required for this particular badge. Perhaps they forget that while they do this full time, most players do NOT.
I reached the third exo5 tier medal (2000 fields in two weeks instead of 800 in a week and a half) while studying and playing hockey all the time. Trust me, it's possible, but you need a good plan
@@MIKIBURGOS True, and a multitude of other factors. All places are not equal in portal availability and other pertinent factors, like the blizzard we had here, yesterday. I am in several groups for the game. It looks like 2 or 3 agents are trying for it, most are ignoring the fields other than smashing for the AP, and some are escaping into Pokemon until it's over so they aren't reminded of something that they cannot possibly do. More than one player will stop at a max of 99 fields because they can't do 800 and their pride means no low-tier badge, lol!

I would like to have some high portal dense area here in my region. I’m aiming just the first medal because of this. Sadly. But MAYBE I can be able to take silver (probably not)
Lets say you have a small number of keys from each of a large number of portals -- say you've been trying to milk the local downtown for keys and resonators. What's a good way to make lots of fields when you don't have massive numbers of keys for any single portal, but have a bunch of keys spread over the whole field of portals?
There are lots of ways to do this; one way is to make a fanfield but instead of linking into the anchor, you link out from it. If you reach the outgoing link limit, close the triangle, then treat a different corner as the new anchor.

What I was ... ahem "Overly optimistic" about trying, was putting a central point as my "anchor", and then going to have links going out in about 270 degrees of fanout around it. Instead, I'll shoot 8 links out from one corner, and two links in; finish the "tail" end, and then make a new anchor.

Here's an experiment: is it possible to make 3 fields (technically) with 1 link. Situation: I was working on a herringbone when a frenemy killed one anchor. I returned to the anchor and refielded, but I was missing a key somewhere in the middle. If I get that key and relink, will it produce ap for the (technically) 3 fields?
You must live in a community where there isn’t a lot of spoofing. Where I live you can’t hold portals that are difficult to get to because spoofers will simply take them back right after you capture them. It kind of wrecked the game for me.
I really, really would like to see people exploit the First Saturday win trading immunity. Maybe your next video? I'm thinking, if you farm 800 keys (100 per portal, meaning 800 links and 2 635 400+ AP in under one hour), you could get to level 8 faster than anyone else before and get the world record! I really hope to see this happen somewhere! Furthermore, I did some math, doing 19 fields and 8 links per rebuild gets you 26 354 AP. to get 1 200 000 AP , you would need only 45 repetitions (or less , due to resonator deploy AP). Another thing you can also do is take advantage of ultrastrikes to destroy the campfire of resonators in like 5 seconds. Get help from other agents and you're looking at easy rebuilds of the portal Get SoftBanks and the AP growth gets just riduculous! you would need double the keys though. Also, Prime let's you spam links like a maniac. 8 links could be done in under 10 seconds, easilly. anyways, i think this would be just awesome, i guess if you have achieved a 6 layer homogeneous field before, this would'nt be any harder for you, i really would like to see you do it!
I had the keys to do it back in September, then at the last minute I couldn't make it to that IFS. Maybe one day, but I'm sure someone will do it before me :)

Alas, no. The most you can get - even with crossed links - appears to be two fields per link.

Niantic has a way to report spoofed portals and have them reinstated, but I don't know the details.
