- The Delicatessen in Positano is one of the most photographed shops in town. Most visitors stop off there to buy sandwiches and fruit for a day at the beach or to take on a hike. We thought it would be fun to show you what it is like at Christmas time with a look at some of the seasonal products.

The past few months have been extremely difficult for personal reasons, and I have lost track of who I am, but I came back here because your videos really do help out a lot. Go see your doctor about your depression, go to a gym and work out, join group therapy or get a therapist online. While a 20 minute video is nice, it doesn't cure anything.
@@mircat28 i suffer depression miranda. My meds work to a certain extent. I've suffered on/off for a good few year.

This is one of the reasons I moved to Italy. Their food and food traditions are superb and as far as I'm concerned unbeatable anywhere.

I moved to the south, USA, 30 years ago and learned that, at New Year's, it is customary to eat collard greens and black eyed peas for good fortune in the upcoming year. Luckily, I like the taste of both! It's really neat to hear other people have similar traditions ❤❤❤ The view of the delicatessen is stunning! The view at my local Walmart is miserable at best, lol!
Pannetone is one of my favorites and I make bread pudding with it and top it with an amaretto glaze, soooo good!

I wouldn't miss this for the world! Loved it - the deli looks incredible. I can spend hours in there and gain 100 lbs just looking! We make the strufolli has been a part of our Christmas forever! Love it. I can't believe it when you showed what he was making, that is exactly how we make it! A lot of times, I see other versions in a red sauce and ours that we make is not. I love the pasta with beans!

Boy you weren’t kidding. That shop has amazing views. That would be such a wonderful place to work. All your stores seem to have that small town feeling and are so cozy. I fell in love with fennel liquor when we went on a little train that does trips from sorrento. I don't know if you can get it in England. I've only seen it on amazon. Really lovely. I ‘m sure I can smell all the food. I did think last year how wonderful it must be to be in Positano at Christmas and here I am again still wishing I was there . One day! I have got a little Christmas decoration I bought when I visited Sorrento in September 2017 and that reminds me of how lovely it was in that area. Looking forward to the next one, think I’ll sit and have a chocolate from the advent calendar while I’m watching next time

We’re planning an anniversary trip for next year & it helps to see what types of little treasures and souvenirs are available and what prices are like. ❤️ I realize that prices are subject to change, but it gives me a general idea on what to budget for. My Italian grandmother from Naples (who moved to the US) used to make the most delicious Struffoli - much more honey and candy sprinkles than appearing here. It's sad that every successive generation (my mother, now me) have lost these amazing Italian cooking traditions. Love your channel and can't believe how much it's grown!

Thank you for doing these! We will be visiting Positano next March and I was curious about where to go for food to carry away. The Delicatessen is on the list. Curious that what you call "hundreds of thousands" we refer to as "sprinkles" or "shots" in the US.

Your Christmas/advent videos are already savored! I saved it to watch last before going to sleep. Your little community in Positano is so heartwarming! Its like I want to be there too. Loved Positano when I visited in June/July of 2019. I'm moving back to Florence in January. 1 month from today, actually! And looking forward to enjoying life in Italy again. It's so special because of all the little things. Like your deli owner giving you her home-grown avocados for free! (I'm from California, enough said.)

When I took my daughter to Milan we visited the local supermarket just to see. Loved it. Tells a lot about the area. Always get hungry in these places. Thanks. You’re right. I see this corner deli in almost all Positano videos that I’ve seen.

I love the BBC hat! I love the Vlogmas format--with you and Carlo doing it together in Italian/English--with all the Christmas food and decorations--it is like a daily Christmas treat for advent! I was there last weekend.Amazing place indeed.Positano was empty,rainy and cold but incredibly beautiful.Then on Saturday the sun came out and we went to Ravello and Amalfi.La Costiera is heaven on earth
