Wow! That gentleman Aldo is such an artist and a craftsman!! So interesting to hear him talk and share!! Pls do more of these types of clogs: lives of different types of craftsmen in Napoli. Happy holidays!! 🤗🙏 And the mechanized work/labor figurines are amazing!!!
I knew that naples was famous for making Presepe, but i didn't know there was a street dedicated to it open year round. Aldo, gave some interesting stories about some elements and figures in the Natvity Scene. these stories can be passed on to your children. Love it!
THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY FASCINATING! We saw some of these Nativity scenes in some museums in other parts of Italy, but I had no idea about the significance of the characters and the symbols represented. I LOVED the story of the girl who wrapped a stone and which was transformed into a baby, giving birth to the day of St Stephen, from stone to stone. Thank you enormously! 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
WOW!!! Thank you for this Incredible tour, great lessons to learn and a *huge thank you* to you and to Aldo. Loved hearing about the legend of St. Stephen. XO
I have never laughed so hard during a history lesson. I will always remember "the pooper" doing his business at a Nativity Scene. I look forward to these videos each day upon my return from work. Thank you for producing such phenomenal content for all of us celebrating the season around the world!!!!
(Isobel Jobe) I especially enjoyed your visit to Naples and showing Via San Gregorio Armeno. We always visit it every time we go to Naples it’s such a fascinating little street. We used to go to a typical Napolitan restaurant at the top of the street, and it really made us feel that we had found the true Naples. I notice that you are still only wearing light jumpers, here in the U.K it’s really cold and miserable at the moment. Enjoy the clement weather as you will feel the difference in temperature when you come over soon! Loving your vlogs BTW!
The amount of details that goes into the nativity scenes is absolutely amazing. I loved learning more about the symbolism behind them. The one with the man doing his business is hilarious. As always such a joy to watch. Those bloopers at the end, I’m the same way. I have what I’m going to say in the vlog and then when I go to speak nothing comes out 🤣🤣🤣
I’m loving this series and learning about the Italian traditions for Christmas. What a great idea! I love seeing the happiness that you and Carlo share with each other.
I especially loved watching San Gregorio Armeno educate us on the history of these nativity buildings. It's quite magical to learn this stuff, especially from the older generations. Your lucky to have met him
I was mesmerised from start to finish the nativity street stepping back in time such wonder creativity love the history I’m slowly becoming Italian Thankyou Nickie and Carlo everywhere such a pleasure to watch your vlogmas Bellissimo my loves See you tomorrow😘😘😍😍❤️❤️👌👌
My father is a priest. He would enjoy wearing the Advent vestments that are in the window.I love the street with all the Nativity sets.Thank you Senor Aldo for telling us about the meaning and history of the Neapolitan Precept. They are very beautiful!!! Awesome video!! Love from Vermont
Thank you for always featuring artists and the stories behind the traditions (keeping them alive)! Your videos are beautiful and thoughtful and your storytelling is amazing.
Wow. Signor Aldo is extremely talented. What beautiful work he does. I would loooooove to have one of his pieces of art. So full of knowledge as well. People really don’t take the time to stop and talk anymore to our older generations. We could learn so much from them. Thank you for taking the time to show us all his wonderful creations. I could listen to him all day while looking through his shop.
Hi spent 2yrs in Naples 1983 to 85 while my husband was serving in the Royal navy working in NAVSOUTH . We lived in Bacoli. Every year I still put my nativity scene I bought in ' Christmas Alley" as we called at the time. Miss Napoli 😃
Sure you bring us a lot of joy by showing the art of Italian crafts and particularly the Napolians. These nativities require a lot of patience and creativity.
People should really appreciate these videos more, it’s incredible to be brought into a world far away from me, I love watching these videos, at times just listening. Thank you for making these videos for us all.
Very interesting that there are shops selling priests & pope clothing! Those handmade Nativity Treasures & Displays are incredible! Love his wonderful stories! Aldo is amazing!! I truly enjoyed today's journey & lessons learned! Mahalo nui loa & Aloha nui to you all!

I never thought about putting a figurine in my nativity of one going to the bathroom... eww... haha, but funny! Thank you for a great video... all so interesting and beautiful nativity sets!
We have been many times to this street. Now that everyone has alberi di Natale, perhaps no one knows that italiani del sud only had a presepio. All my cousins have magnificent ones. Ormai, coming to America, the Christmas tree prevailed. Thanks so much Nicki and Carlo.
Just LOVE these videos as much as the weekly. Learning so much, enjoying seeing places we would’ve never seen without technology & all the work put into them. Thank you.🙏
I really enjoyed this video. Some years ago I was there in Naples and my friend brought me to the street you’re on. We called it Christmas Alley. I bought a lovely Nativity set with the Blessed Mother, Joseph and the baby Jesus in a cradle. I only recently discovered that my Nativity figures were made by a famous artist named Marco Frignerro. I have ordered an angel to add to my set. Thank you so much.
Beautiful video !!!! We miss the old traditions that really celebrate the true meaning of the season. Thank you both for bring a little of this back---really got us in the Christmas spirit! Love these holiday vlogmas. Cant wait until tomorrow!!

What a fascinating story about the nativites scenes. Only know the traditional figurines but loved the story behind all the other ones. Thanks for sharing all the Xmas traditions from Italy.
Christmas is my favorite holiday of year. Not only for religious reasons but because just like in Italy, in Puerto Rico Christmas has rich and strong traditions. Thank you for sharing Buon Natale!!!

Blessings to You, Carlo, Sky, Skys friend, Elizabeth the girls, etc., ALL of your friends, your family & for Holly, cats and chickens- MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
Thank you.. You've brought back so many memories from my 3 years stationed in Naples at the NATO base. I remember Christmas Alley well. I bought a precipe and enough characters and items to fill it out. This was in the late 1980's. We came back to the states in 1990. The lights only this year have started to give me trouble. Thank you so much for sharing.
San Gregorio Armeno's history lesson about the old Neapolitan Christmas Nativity scenes was very interesting! I enjoyed seeing the masterful craftsmanship of his nativities. Jenny
The man who builds all the nativity scenes was amazing, thank you for the great video :) 😍
I’m glad you and Carlos decided to do this every day, it’s healing for some one with mobility issues who adores Italy.
Same here my friend, I will never be able to travel, I always feel like I’m actually there when I watch their videos.
@@siamgirl31 Yes! It's wonderful that they've shared, so when we can't be there, we can still enjoy.
