Awesome! Born and raised in Detroit, I was a Harpos frequent flyer, back in the 80's... Loved Ace Of Spades Concert Production... There' an awesome story behind that night, as hundreds of others, I'm sure. Thanks for sharing.
HARPOS was the place to go. Lost track of how many times I saw Gwar there. Only cought Motorhead one time at the State Theater in Detroit in 93 ,with Black Sabbath and Morbid Angle.
hey Stu, I saw the very same line up, of Sabbath, Motorhead and Morbid Angel, only in Cbus Ohio at the Newport around the same time in your reference..it was loud as to be expected, I thought all bands were exceptional that night, I'd never heard of Morbid Angel until then, I thought the lead ax was fast..
Sabbath with 2 org. Members..Iommi..and Geezer..that night..lead singer..probably an American dude..perhaps a fan of the band..i remember Iommi was a wizard on that SG..
@@rickweber7734 -found out it was 94 after Dio quit , Tony Martin, was singing for them at that time. I do remember he had longass black hair. There are some videos from that tour.
Hey I remember I was fuqed up just stumble south to saint Andrews hall cobo hall the Olympia stadium ...ROCK N ROLL 🎸 Gotta love Detroit and Michigan Rock Fans.
Cobo Hall many a great rock and roll shows there. September of 1978 I was fortunate enough to see Van Halen open for Black Sabbath 2 weeks later AC DC with Bon Scott open up for Aerosmith. Both times the opening act smoked the headliner. Detroit Rock City!!!!!

@@guitarocd9984 I like loud but I never got it with this band. I know Lemmy was a very cool dude and all...but the music just never did. In fact that whole genre is lost on me. No soul to it. My opinion is all.
@@guitarocd9984 Without Motorhead, you wouldn't have Metallica and a shitload of other bands. NO ONE sounded like Motorhead. If you didn't get it,no one can explain it to you. Sorry but i always thought wurzel was way better for motorhead than phil c,i just dont like anything much after wurzel left
Overnight Sensation is one of the best Motörhead album. Snake Bite Love is good too ! Since We are Motörhead, it's really bad !
The Boogeyman intro, at the end of the video !
It doesn't sound like Boogeyman exactly, but it could have been it's origin
That bass tone sucks.
They were drunk they don't care.

I'm old Motorhead was never that popular. People like to rewrite history.
Lemmy was a train wreck and people like to look at Trainwrecks.
