@@oleshko-g Well, in this case the “input” is the process of starting something and overall finding your rhythm and the “output” is the end/conclusion. I’m nearly finished my working career as a radiation therapist. Here’s somethings I’ve learnt: 1) it’s ok to be second best at times. Allow others to lead, and support them. Being part of the foundation is just as important as being the best. Let someone else have the glory from time-to-time. You’ll want a company of competence at the top. 2) that year wasted isn’t wasted. Finding out what you really hate is just as important as finding out what you love doing. If you’re having trouble identifying your passion, imagine yourself in your worst job (“McDonalds” come to mind) and work backwards eliminating hates (crowded, chaotic work environment, no self-expression) and defining wants (quiet environment, not on a tight time-schedule, no fluorescent lights). Hey! Sometimes keeping what you love just for yourself is a gift! (like being a kayak guide if you love kayaking.. your daily day: unfit people who have no paddle rhythm or balance.. Do you really want to share your heartfelt passion with them?) Do what you can easily tolerate doing daily while orienting your sights onwards to your passion. Work/life/love is a process, not a single decision or degree. 3) Be polite with yourself. Listen to yourself. I really resonate with this topic. I am a perfectionist so I struggle with getting started, I would research research and then leave a day or two to get everything done. I am looking for strategies to stop this and just adopt the “do it” mindset.
One of the habits that helps me the most in avoiding procrastination is setting up a time to know what I need to do. Things like errands, homework, work, etc. Then tie them to a time frame, and I start to get anxious about procrastinating, so I only do the top 3 tasks that I need to do. This is like planning your week every Monday or every day before you start working.
I like the idea of putting 5 minutes in the night before. You have already decided not to get stressed about it that night, but now that you've familiarized yourself with the job, there's a chance your subconscious mind will work on it while you're sleeping. You're more likely to wake up with fresh ideas.
That first tip, starting at the end of the day, is amazing idea, I wish I knew about it earlier. Too many time sill start a project, get instantly overwhelmed and like proceed to procrastinate the rest of the day, but if I would've just got the ball rolling the night before, after a good nights rest, I feel itll be a lot easier to actually get into it. I will definitely start using this tip moving forward.
I found the idea of ‘getting familiarised’with a task thats huge as useful, makes it feel less scary and easier to tackle, making the starting friction less. Other tips are also good 👍
Something I really admire in your videos is the clarity in how you communicate and the organization of your ideas. It would be so nice if you created a video giving tips on how to communicate and speak in public! :)
In addition to all these tips, one thing I really found helpful is watching your videos. It's good to have someone you can look up to for inspiration and motivation, whenever you feel bogged down; and your videos really help me do that. You just seem to know what students go through and what they need. One of the very few relatable youtubers who works in big tech, and has done good in life.
For the eat the frog tip, i feel like it depends. Based from past experiences, eating the frog first made me procrastinate even more because initially already feared the huge task and have no motivation to begin. It has always been my issue to start on something and maintain it in the long run. However, if i strted with the easy tasks forst, i tend to get stressed because i feel like i wasnt productive enough since the most important task (usually the deadlines) are left to the last part of the day. So what I do, is I do just one short and easy task just to find some momentum to get me wanting to do something, and then get started with the difficult task. This isnt very full proof through, since i also take long in small tasks, and tend to overthink big tasks to the point that it still ends up being pushed back until the last hour of the deadline. So i often put a timer or use a stopwatch to see how long i take on things (then again timers still dont work on me) idk maybe its my adhd at this point, though I learned to accept it and if I knew that i was going to procrastinate on that day ill just try my best to passively engage in the task as a way for me to figure out how i can accomplish the huge task or think differently about the huge task in order to make it more fun to do. also, if i felt like i was gonna end up procrastinating, i also pushed myself to productively procrastinate, say on those easy tasks that i mentioned. (Since i realized that when i did the big task first most of the time i spend procrastinating before doing the thing is full of worry and anxiously scrolling thru my phone)

The mindset framework is so true. In school, I didn't give the littlest shit about Maths & never wanted to bother learning it. Now that I'm out of school & actively went out of my way to attend a Maths course online, I've realised how much a traditional school environment fucks with enjoyment, or at least the development of enjoyment.

Tip #1 is great when I’m struggling with coding or a visualization as it works when I start before bed for a few minutes. It helps get my brain processing in the background, and start fresh in the morning.
This was actually really useful. It helps that she detailed my issues to a T when illuminating her own. I am going to put this information to use. GREAT VIDEO!
The 2 minute rule is amazing for cleanliness/tidying up. Like I’d go in the kitchen for a glass of water and then realise I haven’t cleared the table, saves having it pile up into a big task.
Thank you so much Tina! These are really practical tips, I sometimes could think of some of them, but it's hard for me to sort them out nice and clean like you do! I believe I will come back to this video every once a while, just to remind myself how I can do better. Ha, feel like I'm also stealing your energy now!

I have the most problems with connecting my task to something enjoyable. If it is some boring report for university I really struggle to find anything joyful about it. Mostly because I know that it will not have any impact either on me or to somewhere externally.
I stand by the switch of scenery method. GREAT TIP! Sometimes it can even be done by simply changing your work medium. As a web developer I spend all day staring at the screen, but I find it best to plan by writing on these big old calendar desk pads I got from work just somewhere away from my laptop.
@@AndreTheBarbadian haha thank you! That show made me cry so hard it's embarrassing. Also your calendar pads = my whiteboard. I really find myself thinking way more clearly (and less distracted) by physically writing stuff down.

I’ve been looking everywhere for my procrastination habit. In the end, some questions popped in to my head, “why do I need this? Why do people find ‘time management’ as something that need to be solved? Do people from, say 5 or 10 centuries ago faced this kind of problem? If not, why do I need it?” Or somewhere along those lines…
It's cool how the phrase "We're all really different, but at the same time, really the same" applies here. Tina has a few tips more emotional-focused, which are the ones working for her, but at the same time, she explains tips which would apply to everyone, like the "2-minute rule" which comes from the Eisenhower matrix. (I think it's a cool simplification, but that matrix has a greater potential and we all should delve deeper into it). I think we all should learn more about how our brain works for eliminating a lot of ego biases not allowing us to progress faster and then we'd be able to understand our individual traits without biases and combine both the universal and individual characteristics within us for achieving greater feats with greatr joy. We have to understand ourselves and that will pretty much improve our emotional state and our reasons for keep going. That knowledge of the self and the universal also diminishes the "I'm not that good" feeling which a lot of people in the productivity realm happen to have from time to time. Congratulations for the videos, Tina. You look as beautiful and smart as always! 😍
what you struggle with is exactly what I've been struggling with and it feels like a loop, i do well for a bit and then slip back and then the cycle repeats LMAO. so im gonna try out your tips!! thanks for sharing
I'm a Game Designer/Developer, currently working on my graduate degree and considering a PhD in Data Science after I finish. I stumbled on your videos while procrastinating, lol. I swear the RUclips algorithm just decided that we were the same person on the inside and it needed to provide an echo chamber, we have a lot in common. It missed on one detail though, Corgis > Cats in the pet department. Great videos though, and I can vouch for the effectiveness of the majority of the techniques you talked about here, keep up the good work!
Very helpful insights tina! Thank you for continuing to inspire me to become a data scientist even more ~ starting small and focus. Thank you so much! Much love! ❤️
One thing, that I think is very important and most of us leave it out, is that sometimes thing don't go as planned and that other people influence on what you do or do not do during the day. Like when I am off and I finally decide to start with that big important project I have and suddenly my sisters want to come over and cook. Or in the afternoon after work, my husband wants to share time with me, not to stare at me working in the computer. Or my mom calls me and we are on the phone for 2 hours, or when you want to cook and when you finish cooking you are too tired to start that project and sleep time is approaching. I've been trying hard to fit my important tasks on a daily basis but always something unexpected happens
Hi Tina i subbed to you around the timing of my and even though i don"t really have much passion for coding anymore i still watch your videos from time to time because you always give a very positive and relaxing aura. i am a recent viewer of haikyu!! and was just going to give you a very good recommendation. that being Black Clover

Hi Tina. You really give great tips. It's great that you are so diverse and love to read books and love to develop yourself and think deeply. You are also very very attractive. So thank you for everything that you share. The business clothing and casual is fine and offer less distraction. But I am not to say what you should or should not wear. :-) But some of us guys have small hearts sometimes :-) May everything is good come to you and stay with you ...
Whaouu I feel amazing after seeing your video thank you so much !!! All your tips seems so helpful, that's exactly what I need ! And it's crazy how I recognize myself in your spitch ! I work in tech too, and I feel just the same, the same fear ! But I don't really recongnized the problem in the first place and I find myself a few months from the beginning of my work to being really embarrassed ! I need this advice, thanks again, can wait to watch your other videos =)
I'd like to quote Dr. K from HealthyGamerGG: "Procrastination or boredom is not laziness, it's your brain indicating you to go back to doing what is important (your studies / job). To suppress that noise in your head you indulge yourself into activities that provide you with big reward on small efforts"
Hi!I enjoy your videos and find them really helpful. I have ADHD and just wanted to ask if you do too? You mentioned a few things here that are markers associated with it like 1) fidgeting 2) not being able to start something if it feels boring 3) “body doubling” by working in libraries. Was just curious if you have it too
Some of these tips depend a lot on the person. For example starting with the most difficult stuff first, my brain barely works before noon so for me its better to do easy stuff in the morning then get into the most difficult things in the afternoon or even at night. 3 hours of my work at night are roughly worth 5 hours first thing in the morning.
Aaaaaaa you watched Haikyuu! 🥺 So Kita already appeared in the story, he became such a inspiration for me in terms of productivity (Read the manga as well when you have time, you'll love it!) Thanks for the video!
i have ADHD and when I try to do these things consciously it feels like my brain gets stuck on it and I can't move forward, but then looking back I actually do some of these unconsciously and it helps!
1. Start working on big task at the end of the day
2. Start the hardest task first
3. The 2 minute rule: if something can be done in less than 2 min do it immediately
4. The 5 minute rule: working on the input goal rather than the output goal
5. Switch scenary and borrow the energy of the environment you are (e.g. to deep study : library . Be creative
6. Leave slice valuable objects on public spaces to make you to turn back and get it
7. Reframe the activity is fun
8. Go for a walk when you feel stuck
Extra: study 50 min and relax 10 min
Thank you!
I didn't get this name 'input'. Why is it called like this? It's still output, but a smaller one

“why do I need this? Why do people find ‘time management’ as something that need to be solved? Do people from, say 5 or 10 centuries ago faced this kind of problem? If not, why do I need it?”
Or somewhere along those lines…
Simple. Capitalism.
I love these videos They in between flashes like the one putting your head down in defeat. It is so relatable haha Thanks
I found this very helpful. I'm going to come back to this a few times for motivation.
❤️🐈🐈
You have no idea how helpful are your videos for me, they apply perfectly on my life :O
what you struggle with is exactly what I've been struggling with and it feels like a loop, i do well for a bit and then slip back and then the cycle repeats LMAO. so im gonna try out your tips!! thanks for sharing
Much love! ❤️
I was totally suffer from procrastination for several months [or let's say half of my life I guess]
baby steps :) and I'm so happy to hear that my videos have helped
I can also relate that I have so much fear and also a perfectionist, so I can so much relate to you but, I was harden to step up, something like that.
Just healed from crippling depression. Ready to start over again))
I've been through really bad seas those days... I will try some of those methods!
Thanks Tina, highly helpful. Some of them I do and others I'll implement.
Thanks, great video. I'll try number 6 and leave slightly valuable stuff in public places. Hope that works 🤞
I am the goddess of procrastination, never knew the word in English 😀 thank you . I actually hope to stop that i will try after seeing your video i hope i can defeat it

Mindset shift is my favourite point. Thanks Tina 😊
After procrastinating on watching this video for 6 months, I've finally watched it.
Guess all I needed was a library.
Hi Tina. You really give great tips. It's great that you are so diverse and love to read books and love to develop yourself and think deeply. You are also very very attractive. So thank you for everything that you share.
The business clothing and casual is fine and offer less distraction.
But I am not to say what you should or should not wear.
:-) But some of us guys have small hearts sometimes :-)
May everything is good come to you and stay with you ...
Welcome to the Bay! I just found your channel and I love the content. Keep at it!

9:45 - If on losing streak/procrastination, just cut the flow of that action
Thank you. Your advice are very powerful.
Added to watch later playlist, will watch some day
I really think you are one the best around here, thanks for that content
Really great tips! Thank you, Tina!
I'll try to get around to watching this eventually
awh no these tips came during the right time, WFH has been kicking me in the ass. love your outfit in this vid!!
Really helpful. I particularly love the environment change.
I'd like to quote Dr. K from HealthyGamerGG:
"Procrastination or boredom is not laziness, it's your brain indicating you to go back to doing what is important (your studies / job). To suppress that noise in your head you indulge yourself into activities that provide you with big reward on small efforts"
I’m so lucky to found this channel
This type of videos really fits well to my watch later list.
Its like you're in my mind, I relate to almost everything you said.
Like your education on learning how to learn and also how to get started coding
Loved the video thank you! Would certainly recommend to re upload it with better quality audio because sometimes it gets hard to understand
You are amazing young woman! I am old, so I can say this! Thank you for cleaning the mud off of my windshield!!
Aaaaaaa you watched Haikyuu! 🥺 So Kita already appeared in the story, he became such a inspiration for me in terms of productivity (Read the manga as well when you have time, you'll love it!)
Thanks for the video!
You are my favourite youtuber... Love you😇😇
Adding to watch later 😃
setting doctors: Hanging 10 Minutes in the initial welcome speach and wait to someone anwer the phone haha
Wow im doing the same thing starting the project in the end of the day!!!
i have ADHD and when I try to do these things consciously it feels like my brain gets stuck on it and I can't move forward, but then looking back I actually do some of these unconsciously and it helps!
