At last the new Verna has landed. First time I saw it from front I hate it but now I just love the design especially the sides and rear. Hyundai has nailed in interior style and comfort. The turbo versions dark interior looks sporty but other variants beige and black looks premium. The large and ergonomic seats definitely adds comfort. 8 speaker boss system is superb. There are some complaints about the DSG gearboxes in hyundai and kia cars hope they sort it. I don't like the two spoke steering wheel. The instrument cluster is from venue, if they have given Cretas instrument cluster ...oh boy...it will sure look terrific. No doubt new Verna will set the sales chart on fire for hyundai. Waiting to see how the competition react to verna. Well done hyundai.
Interesting !! Fuel efficiency at 20+ With a torque of 253. Felt it would have been good if it had 1) Rare AC vent controller 2) front and back LED indicator. But overall it's an awesome machine.

I think you are mistaken. Hyundai Ascent was not the predecessor for Verna. Hyundai Accent was the predecessor for Hyundai Aura. Infact, Accent and Verna were being sold simultaneously from 2006 onwards.

I was looking to buy a car two options infront of me now is Verna 2023 and Harrier 2023. My budget is less than 25 lakhs ( Including everything ).
People are saying the sedan is a bad idea in our indian roads, so it would be better to spend money on harrier or some other SUV models. Personally I like both the cars. Like verna a little because lesser price and it gives ADAS features in my budget :P. I don't do offroading and all but I do have to drive some bad roads once in a while. I am open to other options too.. :)
