- Did we make a mistake buying such a cheap gaming PC on eBay??? We spent only $77 so either something has to be wrong with it or it’s too good of a deal to be true! Regardless, we will unbox it and find out what we got.

We cant find deals like this because you guys buy them all lol😂
I bet the company buys pallets of these computers as e-waste for pennies and sells the ones that boot up, this is why they can actually make money on them.
They add 2 updates that cost $20 a little better ram and video card. This is decent system for games that came out no latter than 2013.
U pay for i5 2400 the same as i3 get 12 😂
100% toasty bros do this
It was cheap because someone who was probably building it just gave up and needed to get rid of it. I am not surprised.
most likely just recycled e waste, but decent guess
@@adamelghalmi9771 I guessed based on the wire management in the case. Many see that and just give up if they don't know what to do. I've seen it happen before.

I just picked up a Lenovo system with an i7 7700, 16gb DDR4, 512gb SSD, Quadro P2000 5gb GDDR5 (similar gaming performance to a 1050), 400w Platinum PSU for £41 / $52 so crazy deals are still possible!
were you got it
@@jrgamingstudio3376 at a local liquidation auction for a company that had gone under.
Is it a pick-me-up? If so, good pricing. The ram and ssd alone are worth more than the cost. If you intend to hold on to it for the long haul though, that's a worse idea. It has no upgrade paths, and all upgrades involve other upgrades to the point where starting fresh with 400-600 dollar build is better.

I used swappable disk bays for years when I worked at a training facility. It let us load drives for the next week while machines were being used for this week, as well as for trainers to have their own dedicated drives they carried between rooms. Super handy. But not a normal use case!
Hot swap bays are used for parenting. Use a small OS drive with no room for games mounted in the case and Install games to the removeable drive bay. They can have their game drive back after homework, chores or end of punishment/grounding.
Nice clean up job on this one fellas! It was a mess to start with!
I used to use hot swap bays. It made it easy for sharing files with a friend of mine, who also had one. Of course this was long before there were even 1gb thumb drives. No need for them once the size of thumb drives grew. This was late 90's/early 2000's.
I resent that he called us boomers. I'm a very young genX, tyvm.
@@bingo5694 GenX here as well. Can you imagine throwing kids these days back into the 80's for just a week.
FX Processors aren't as bad as people say they were
but like, right now, if you wanna build Budget Budget, you can get a six core, for like 10 bucks, with motherboard for like 20$, many people overlook them
even for like basic workstation tasks
30$ pc, if you count case and psu
don't some FX cpu's lack modern instructions to run newer games? or was that Phenom II I forgot lol

Should overclock them and retest! Hope it would help to get rid of some of the stutters.
I’m probably alone on this but I love the Rosewill Line-M case. I’m rebuilding mine as we speak!
LOL, I never had a hot swap bay, but one of my buddies had 2 in his one rig years ago. I never saw him actually pull a drive out of it though.
That's funny, I was just looking at that listing haha
creed on a pc building video is something i thought id never hear
This was basically the pc I built for myself in 2015. I played through all of the witcher3 with that cpu and an evga single fan gtx950. Other favorites at the time were Minecraft and warframe
"We're gonna take this out to the back and blow it."
i like that case love to put a sleeper build in it with a optical drive
you guys doing fantastic and amazing videos big love from Saudi Arabia ❤

During college I had to use those hot swap bays for my networking lab drive
For awhile in my network security class we did use hot swappable drive bays. We had our own drives that could be removed and put back for our own use
Im abt to get a pc that I'm going to build myself and this video makes me feel better with the parts that I picked

I have an ibuypower with a fx-6300 from back in the day. Upgraded the 1050 2gb to a 1650 4gb and upgraded ram to 16gb. With Bazzite linux on it the rig plays everything I used to play on windows just fine.
dude, the hot swap bay would be an interesting way to just plug in a game or media library drive.
6 bay icy dock on my TrueNAS server loaded with SSDs. Got sick of having to pull the system out to get at internal drives if one started to fail. So yes, big fan of hot swap bays. Though I use it for easy access. I still power down before swapping out a bad drive.
The US is crazy , prices in the UK INCLUDE taxes so what you see is what you pay before postage ( shipping ) and a lot of the time on UK ebay postage is free .
We prefer the constant reminder that govt steals from every transaction, instead of hiding it in the asking price. Not only that, but every state has different sales tax, ranging from 0 to 9.5%.
There are a lot of different tax rates across the us so they don't usually show that until after item goes in cart.
I've been loving your videos! I cannot believe you guys are so chill about everything that happened to you recently with someone robbing your store. You guys are incredible! Keep up the great work! 💯👍🏻 You guys are true professionals!
You forgot to add to the telly the USB2toUSB3 adapter, and fan.
And,btw,i would add more fans.

Since you near the 10 year mark of Toasty Bros, have you consider something special, memorable or different for that ocasion?
My EVGA GTX 950 carried me through a lot of years. That was actually a pretty insane value for the time
I have a very similar system:
AMD FX-6300
Zotac GTX 950
Asrock 970A-G/3.1 motherboard
SSD 960 PRO NVMe M.2 512GB (yes the MB has an NVMe slot!)
Two 8GB DDR3-1600 DIMMs
DVD Drive
Memory card reader
Semi-modular PSU
NZXT Source 210 case
I am not a gamer so it works fine for my needs.
Its not my primary system, might upgrade it to a AMD FX-8320E for the right price.
you make each video an unforgettable learning adventure!
Awesome PC!
Hey @Toasty Bros I am planning to buy a pc soon where should I buy the CPU and stuff?
i used the hot swap bays when i have had them
gotta try the mutation protocol resurgence dont dive bomb yourself lol
Gotta say that it's been forever since I've seen a cable mess like that.
Creed lol
Also, that's one big ass 950 LOL - might get less stuttering at 90fps vs 120
that is one jam packed non modular psu
My daughter is rocking an fx6350 and rx580 8gb with 16gb 1866mhz and that thing still performs surprisingly well at 1080p medium

hi is it the ram that makes it lag on game or graffics card and what pc graffis sould i look for when butying a pc from ebay
Could be rocking the phenom 2 1100 i got sitting behind me. Actually still plays most games except cyberpunk
Ive been on a tight budget slowly building over time running a gtx 780 still and able to run cod and 5M no problems.
run 1600 by 900 or 1440 x 900 or 1360by768 even if monitors 1080p on older cpus for fortnite it makes the game run way smoother and does not make it look much worse 82% res scale also helps.
its better than the pc i have now... can i have it?

Regarding the fan, It's easy to fix seized fans with some weed whacker motor (or any) oil, by lubricating the spindle. pop the blades off, use a q-tip, or syringe, pop it back in and spin em. I've done this with some fans I got in a trade with an older build.
11:50 "FX is struggling" while having 60-70% CPU utilization in-game. Similar for graphics. It is quite strange too, but it does not seem to struggle.
this would be nice to build a sleeper pc with.
My friend also calls it Roswell😂 it's Rosewill...
Like Rose Will? Decent cheap brand. Also EVGA GTX 950 SC+ was my first card! Wasn't too shabby for just 2gb!
could be a good candidate for a batocera retro gaming PC
What's the name of the song that's playing at 12:28 while they're playing Counterstrike?
I have a laptop that’s been dropped and it’s so jittery. I don’t know if it can be fixed. I need a new one, but I don’t have the money for it.
oh the days of my FX 8300 making my apartment toasty warm... Now i know why they charge Utlilities after my stint there. XD
Here we go!
As a fan of the AM3+ platform this was probably a higher end (at the time) Windows 7 pc that had just enough specs for Windows 10. Hence the price.
On something like this, I'd be taking it a part first.... clean it up and put it back together..... upgrading the ram on the way and putting in the hard drive(s). definetly a recycled PC... they gave it away, and all you paid for was the shipping!
I would like it if you guys would test an inexpensive gaming PC, a bit better than this one, running some slightly older favorite games of yours. Battlefields? Wolfenstein? BioShock? Far Cry?
this would be a good computer to get if you have other better parts that you can put in from previous builds that died for various reasons, like lets say the psu died on one and you can just transplant a better CPU, provided you got one that's compatible with the mobo, and a better gpu, then you might have something that might be able to keep up with newer games, if you're looking for something that runs older games just fine? then this pc might be great for those looking to play some classics.
i love the game play more then building process😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
I wonder if it could handle a better card?
Seth Rogen my man is now into PC Building. hehehehe
What hurts this pc the most is single core ipc. Same weakness as when fx was current and competing with intel core 3rd and 4th gen. I remember an i3-4130 slapped the snot of a fx-8350 in terms of average fps and 1%lows.
A little bit??!! Cable manage a little bit??!!! LMAO.
that can def get better wire management
We need an asa bench marking that game needs a lot
Why is the Windows 11 OEM key 22 dollars and in sweden is like 2 Dollar?
could have been worse.. could have been packing peanuts hahahhaa
Hey when I press the power button on my computer it will turn on then start beeping then turn off.

oh no... FX... idk man I struggle to GIVE those away lol.
Yo direct 12 low settings is better than performance mode because performance mode for low end pc stutter a lot.
PLEASE do a video about the RX 560 4gb cards that fit in the 2.5" slot of a EliteDesk Mini 705 G4. You could build this tiny system for 200 bucks and mount it to the back of your tv and it will play esports and stuff like baldur's gate 3. The cards are 75 bucks on amazon and the elitedesk computers are like 75 bucks on ebay. slap some t force 16gb of ddr4 in there for another 30 bucks and maybe 30 bucks for an nvme and screw it onto the back of your living room TV
Link to the GPU’s?
@@ToastyBros I linked it like 10 times yesterday, you can just google RX 560 4gb elitedesk amazon or whatever
I enjoy the cs2 bench marks. I do also have 27k hours in cs2.

awesome !!
i love that yoda tshirt can i get the link to buy that tshirt please
I just picked up an Optiplex 5040 SFF with an i5-6500, 16GB , 256 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD... for € 59. I thought, naw, can't be real, but it is

yall idk if i did good or not but i bought a T5820 workstation with an xeon w-2125 and 16gb of ram 2tb storage for 150 and a gtx 980ti for 40 bucks. so far its running games i play very nicely

Two days ago I found and had to buy a Dell XPS desktop for 25 bucks at a garage sale. I was pleasantly surprised to find an i7 9700 and an RTX 2060 inside. The deals are out there, you just have to jump on them.
Wow thats crazy.
Ive hit a few garage sales but have to get up early to beat the professional scavengers around here and ive never seen something like a rtx2060 wow
@@evers6214 It was nuts. The first time I was happy to be anxious about being everwhere fifteen minutes early.
bought one from my local gamexchange for $124 without knowing a single spec about it solely because i could not pass up what could've been an amazing deal. it was not. fx 6300 cpu 4gb ddr3 ram. rx460 gpu. it was trash and now serves as a stand for my actual pc
Hot swap bays where the cheapest and fastest way to move heavy files. Hell, it probably still is because in general a hdd in a hotswap bay is faster then a usb based external drive or flashdrive. I installed a hotswap bay to my girlfriends computer and it made it real conveint to just swap in a whole hd full of movies.
i love this channel
I have a i 7 860 and a 1070 and 16gb ram like we Can say 150 Maby do you want to buy it?
i cant even find a 4gb gpu on ebay for that cheap. ive found 1 listing for an rx470 8gb for $59.99 but its coming from china. this was a good find for the $ tho. Im running the fx8150 8 core in my system and it does great with the rtx 2060 12gb.
