How I Installed Empire 2 (v4.3) MANUALLY!

- *Update* The MANUAL INSTALLATION files on moddb were removed shortly after this posting, hopefully they add it back on the page, if they do try this and see if it works for you.
This also includes using Vandant Disease Mod (VDM) and specific launcher. This is how I did it and it worked, hope it helps anyone having trouble. You can also join the discord for the mod found on moddb page.

So for everyone having trouble installing the installer version, I figured it out. When you run the installer it will prompt you to unzip a bunch of folders. You need to this and I needed to use the program winrar to do it as the zip program on windows didn't work. After these files unzip you can install successfully. After this you need to install the patch. They have additional instructions for this on the mod download page. Before instill make sure to verify the integrity of your game files on steam.
So you dont have to copy & paste the empire folder into common like he did then?
Mine crashes on start up after i run the installer

Sir if you have those files can you upload it to some site and give us the link. So, we could use the mod
Unfortunately they have not provided the manual installation vresion and unfortunately my PC won't allow me to use the installer version. I'm a pretty experienced with installing mods so this very frustrating
I get that. They removed them right when I was editing the video, just as frustrating when I got something to work and then it’s removed.
hi, when i download the 4.3 files scripts folder is not there and the empire tw2 folder only has one file that says data. other thing, im tryng to install the mod in disc-D (I don't know if it has anything to do with it) and when i start the game appears an error that says:
Error: Expecteting keywork 'version'
Animations/BattleConfiguration/standard_rider_fragment.txt(1)

Sir, the page only shows the installer and the Beta 4.2 Linux. I do not see a Manual Install. Please update the page
I’m not the dev. I was just told today that the manual files were removed. Why? Not really sure.
I asked the team to put the files back up. Guess a lot of people are having trouble, but want to see if this helps anyone as it worked for me. Hopefully they will put the manual files back on.

Its asking me to insert disk but i have the steam version 😢
Insert disk, should be able to select a path and direct it to .exe. I’ve never had that message with this mod. Maybe it’s the installer.
i hope you it by this point but u need to unzip all the bins files tht come wiht it into a folder and when it asks for your disk, select tht file you unzipped the bins files at,

Empire Total war's unsolvable error, freezing after the tour, has been resolved? Is it still ongoing?
The manual files aren’t there any more. The installer may be a little different. You could try installing it to the ETW folder, and make sure the scripts are changed in both of those file locations.
Moddb can be such a headache.

Hello. I have all the files downloaded, but I have no idea how to install the Mod on the Mac M1 Os version. I downloaded the game from the app store. You can help me please?
From experience. Macs are just not good to install mods. You can try to send it to the empire folder on the local disk.
Specifically, should I manually move the extracted mod to the local disk into the data folder and let it be overwritten? Am I speaking correctly?@@StrategicSymphony
@@rs7178 That's how I do it on Windows. I have not done it on Mac but I have heard mods are not that great with Mac.
Hey i tried to install with this guide and now my game no long works it starts it crashes. I have tried to remove this and my game no longer works that's was my favourite computer game ruined thanks for a shitty guide that breaks the game completely 😢.
You didn’t do it correctly then. As I stated, there are 2 locations of files you have to edit. All you have to do is remove everything and start again, it’s not “broke”😂

It’s the installer version. They removed the manual files after posting. I installed 4.0 THEN 4.3. I don’t know if the installer does this, but I had trouble with the installer. You can try it and see if it works.
The 4.0 installer is Not there anymore also im on windows 11 What should i do? Can u pls help?

Did you just download or also install?
You have to move files around and change the scripting. They don’t have the manual files anymore, you could try the installer version.

@@FilipReiner There should be a manual when you double click the folder. If it’s the installer version then you have to run the installer.
