Where/how the hell can I find out to install the VST3 version? I will never ever in my life need a standalone for any plugin whatsoever. This is why I steal things
Also, as a bit of advice for newer users, we should encourage them to install their libraries on an external drive, preferably an SSD but a regular drive works well too, as the sound libraries take up a ton of space and you will be adding additional libraries.
I only have 5 available items, - Controller Editor, Guitar Rig LE, Kontakt 6 player, Kontakt 7 player, and Reaktor player. I'm not seeing any instruments or effects. nothing shows up in the VST in my DAW, am I missing something?

@@nicholasroberts3773 Normally you would just open up the standalone Kontakt retail/Kontakt player, then click the help button and hit "Add Library", and then point it to the location where you keep your plugins stored (there should be a file that ends in .nicat or something very similar) I forget the exact spelling.
Just Discovered this video. Im running cubase elements 12 on a mac studio. So the sound selection is quite basic. I would like to install this free version. How do I link it to cubase, or where do i find it. Im a complete novice. And. If i find another collection, for example, the alesis quadrasynth library, is the Kontakt player required to be able to use the sounds. Thanks again

I'm on a Windows machine and, when I do what you did in this video, I only see Kontakt 6 Player in my Native Access app. How do I get Kontakt Player 7?
I've actually spoken to Native and begged them to allow us to choose what libraries come with Full Kontakt when we buy it. Like I wish they gave us a list to choose from, the Plugins that come with Full Kontakt are very outdated now and make me very hesitant of upgrading to full version of Kontakt even though I know I need the upgrade. It is not worth it for what comes with it. Native did reply to me saying they are not changing it any time soon. :(
Oh damn, sorry to hear that man, but you can just stick with the free kontakt and the sounds are great, if you want awesome free stuff of instruments try decent sampler & the many free libraries it has and also spitifre labs with more than 50 free amazing libraries.
It says installed and then the button switches back to install and nothing happened. Destination folder is my plugin folder. Does somebody know how to solve the issue?
Stupid question... I have Kontakt 6 but some of my libraries now require 7, so I downloaded kontakt player 7. Is there no rack functionality (i.e. multiple instruments open at once) within that?

I haven't ever installed ver 6, is this new version fully compatible with all licensed libraries for Kontakt ? In other word have to install 6 and the the 7, or the 7 is enough ?
You could always manually install the dependencies yourself and try again,if nothing else works. I'm pretty sure all you need is the Visual C++ 2015-2022 Runtime libraries(both the 32 and 64 bit installers which you can get straight from Microsoft). I actually had a similar problem with Kontakt 7 retail edition. Just make sure you get the ones that say 2015-2022.
I originally started with Kontakt 5 free Player then upgraded to Kontakt 6 Full (which was very expensive), Now there's a Kontakt 7 which gives what exactly? And after paying a lot of money for Kontakt 6, are they really expecting me to pay again? Why would I pay again for Kontakt 7 when I can't even find any information about what I get for my money? Not really sure why everyone raves about this product, I find it quite difficult to use and the text and effects section graphics are tiny, often difficult to read without a magnifying glass ...and cannot be resized. I haven't been overly impressed with the included sample libraries either. Some of them seem sound quite impressive on their own but unusable in most music that I make. I would rather just have useable bread and butter sounds rather than some of the bullshit that is included.

When i try to install Kontakt 7 I only see 4 items in the Native Access window. In this tutorial there are loads of them. Whats the catch?

In Kontakt Player it says "No Libraries Here" !? has anyone else had this issue and know how to fix it?

When I downloaded the Kontakt 7 Player and opened it in my daw, there was nothing in the libraries. It said there were no libraries.
You need to install also the libraries within the native instruments platform.

My kontakt 7 says demo and I don’t understand why I purchased it and it won’t let me activate it
