- In this video Bobby of HLSupply demonstrates how to replace the needle, jet, nozzle, float, bowl, gaskets, etc in a Honda GX200 carburetor. This method will work on most of the Honda small engines.
You can buy replacement carburetors at HLSupply.com for Honda GX160, GX200, GX240, GX270, GX340, GX930. We also sell the repair kits.
I own several models of the GX series some are 30 years old never had to rebuild a carburetor just clean and why this person is rebuilding a new carburetor is unfathomable.
Because he wants to, I suppose. Seriously, taking the carburetor apart is the only way to clean it up, the word rebuild is unnecessary.
It's obviously for a demo. If you can't fathom that I'm surprised you can tie your own laces 😂
I took my carb apart cause somebody told me to clean it out because my engine was only running with the choke on but after i did this with the carb and put it back together my engine wouldn't start at all lol. I think i may have not put the float needle in correctly some how. Will have to disassemble and try again.
So as far as you saying that it's for this number and that number does that mean that these carburetors use the same size of Jets or is that just the standard procedure to fix the carburetor
Hello! I have a current generator, Honda gx 390 engine, it starts and works only with the shock pulled. I cleaned the carburetor, I didn't solve the problem, what could it be?
Hello nice video do you have part numbers for rebuild kits for the Engines. Thanks Joe
What about the idler jet?
So…where can I buy those parts?
No carb cleaner....if you have a rubber tip on a measuring needle it'll expand and get stuck. brake cleaner doesn't seem to expand them :)
Matthew Olson. nice tip
Bruce Brengle forget who told me that...learned that the hard way on a Husky 394...carb wasn't adjustable after rebuild. Stupid needle was stuck ...swollen.
I have a gx 390 mounted to a generator. When I took out Pilot Jet, it did not have a gasket on base. Is that because its run at full throttle upon startup and no idle needed?
Sir gud day
Ask... How to adjust air and gas into slow rpm of honda 390mega marine
Thnks
My real question of the day is can these carburetors be interchangeable between the model numbers
no. I have a GX200 engine on a pressure washer and the same engine on a snowblower and the fuel attachment on both are in different directions and have slightly different connections on the top, based on linkages for the device (snow blower controls, vs basic pressure washer)
Honda g x390 what's that back screw on the carburetor do
Where abouts on the carb can you adjust the mixture from? Is it the screw/nut at the bottom of the bulb
I've got a carb just like thst what is that lever for on the side it looks like a shut off valve
It is.
I would open the shut off valve bottom and clean the screen
You never showed in what order the gaskets go on to re install the carburetor
He didn't show jack.
It was a spanking new carb.
Another fake RUclips farce.
Also didn't actually show the spring and needle valve float being installed on the float assembly... just said to do it.
Need to add the pilot orifice and adjustment (the needle valve on the side near the output port.
pilot jet ? pilot screw ?
You BETTER check that FloatBowl Gasket....it ain't in the Grooves, Dude.
He didn't remove the idle jet, didn't show how to adjust the float, gasket was in wrong, ...... Wow , this was very bad.
Nice job Bobby
what is float setting? reason why i was watching video, also, the tube is called an emulsion tube, mixes air with fuel in carb.
Man I wish I had found this when I did my first! I have a couple more that could use some attention, will have to order the kits from you...
oh yeah I could use that 550XP Bobby,if you could see your way clear to rig the drawing for me,cause I don't ever win anything....
very informative!
Dreamy.
Great Video
How to adjust air ang gas gx390
Pls
How come these videos always have a brand new carb??? That’s not what they look like in the real world😳 but thanks anyway 👍
Good job.
*reads title* *watches guy rebuild a brand new carb for no reason* me: why tf am i watching this...
Exactly My Thoughts.
All I saw was removing the main jet and replacing it with same jet!what about the low speed jet? People want to know where to spray carb cleaner! Brand new carb. I'm glad I do small engines for a hobby/ side money, or I'd be lost
What about G200
Nice job on the video. Very informative.
This is a half ass rebuild!
What rebuild, Terry?
sorry but this video seriously lacks information.
Can I get in for the chainsaw
Hey Boy Bobby you doing half job
Very very bad, one old carburetor is good.
Next time ,actually use a dirty carb. BS
