I put a new Honda OEM carb on my gx 200. It would start but not stay running. I watched your video and the manifold gasket, I put on backwards. Hole twords the valve cover. I reversed it and it runs like a scalded ass cat. You saved the day. Thanks 😊

Video was very helpful to be sure the procedure to remove and replace the carb properly including installing the governor linkage and gaskets. You can use the male part of the plastic choke to plug the fuel line while working on the carb. In my case the fuel tank needed to be replaced due to hard varnish and rust.

So do the Honda GX200 and GX160 have the exact same carburator?

I took the gas tank completely off. There was a cheap wire hose clamp that I just twisted off with a pair of pliers because I'm replacing it with a better hose clamp anyway and the damn thing actually sparked when I broke it off. Nothing ignited but damn.

Definitely was helpful video as someone who doesn't know anything about small engine or any engine for that matter. Definitely was good video. I myself thought About using a wood pallet sometime goof around and turn one into a go kart basically making a wooden go kart.

You know the air box will still go on and off if you fully close the choke and turn off the gas right? And also you can reuse the gaskets if they aren’t ripped to shreds.

my GX motor is on a power washer. i have replaced the carb, air filter, oil and pull starter. however my motor still runs like crap, it runs with zero confidence, it randomly will shut down when I move it, or even while washing, the sound coming from the motor is not sustained like in your video when you give it full throttle. Mine only sounds and runs like that when i pin the trigger on my power washer wand. Im being told its the carb however I dont even know anymore. im seeing this thing going on sale on FB market and ebay for $400 so i know its worth throwing money into, I just dont know where im diagnosing incorrectly

I installed a new chinese carburator , it started first pull . Strangely this carb has no primer input. I found this : '' the carburetor relies on a different mechanism to draw fuel into the system. In this case, the carburetor is designed with a purge bulb or venturi purge instead of a traditional primer bulb.''

😂 tells everyone first thing you want to do is drain the gas, yet literally holds his finger over the gas line for the entire swap 🤷‍♂️ 🤦do as I say not as I do? That engine is a keeper , cleans off a saw table work bench real good! 👍😆 … ✌️🤙
