Thanks Kendall and I hope you continue making a fast recovery! Sometimes it takes some time to learn where certain rocks are located. Keep hunting and have fun ! Thanks for watching.
For every one person asking there’s probably a 100 more thinking the same thing. If this man gave a specific location, he would effectively be losing a place to go rock hunting. Every area has features (rocks) unique to that area. Everyone should get out and find what their area has to offer. From a geologic perspective the type and age of this mans finds, along with the topography shown in this video. It’s possible to narrow down location to a 4 to 5 county area. If happen to rock hunting that area you could expect to find an abundance of Lithostrotionella corals.
Very well said. Get out and search your local area. There are rocks to be found. Get on google maps and research your waterways. Ask locals in your area that have been around for a while. They might could give you tips or clues on where to find artifacts in your area. Anything helps, so Happy Hunting. We appreciate you again for watching the channel.

Driving through Tennessee now I am from Ohio and a town called Greenfield. Look it up and you will see we have a large amount to say the least of fossilized ocean fauna. Love the geode signs as we don't have many in Ohio where I live.
Hey thanks and we really appreciate the comment and you for watching. We are getting a good rain now and I’m hoping some gravel is getting turned. We are ready to get after them. 👍🏻
I found a lot of fossils along my creek bank when I was a kid. There were geodes too, but I was a kid in the 1960's. We didn't have the information we do now, and I only started rock hunting because of finding a crinoid stem on the creek bank. I didn't have guides or knowledge to tell me what to look for. I found things that were obviously something different than a regular creek rock. I recognize unbroken geodes from pics and videos I watch today. But back then, I didn't know what I was looking at. I wish I had known.
It’s amazing how much information you can find on the internet. Amazing time we live in. Almost to much information. Thanks for watching and I enjoyed your comment.
Those are defiantly agate! Many of the geodes in that area (Highland Rim) contain banded chalcedony and a fraction of those will be transparent when sliced and that is what defines an agate. Those defiantly appear that they would be transparent and are some of the coolest I've seen! The orange on the outside is basically sunburn, but once you cut past that they are usually white and blue. There is very little documentation on them but, they are completely different from paint rock as paint rock comes from east of the Highland Rim.
I live in southern Indiana. Are you familiar with the geodes here? They are incredible!! I enjoyed finding your videos today. I am from Tennessee originally and visit the Highland Rim and Plateau frequently. Thanks for sharing your finds!
We are not familiar with the geodes in that area. I'm sure they are amazing! The Highland Rim and Plateau is very beautiful country. Thanks again for watching.
Man that sounds like a good area for sure. We love finding them and are hoping to do more cutting geode videos in the future. We recently ordered some iron out and are looking forward to see the results on how it cleans. Thanks again for the comment and watching. 👍🏻
That piece of fossilized coral really is magnificent. To think it used to be a living organism... I dont know about the artifact though. I wonder what made you think it was one. Just looked like a jagged rock to me. Anyway, great video. Absolutely beautiful.
I've never found a place with so many large geodes. I used to hunt them all the time when I was young but I rarely ever found any that large. I cant wait to see the video of you cutting them
Hey thanks for watching. The rock that was a digging tool was definitely man made. It was napped all over the rock. The native people would strike the rock with a hammer stone knocking flakes of the flint rock. It does take a little time to learn what to look for. Also notice how the top of the rock has been thinned to allow it to be fitted to a wood shaft. We hope to have a rock saw video soon. Thanks again
I usually soak them in water and spray them really good with the hose pipe. If they have a yellow look to them it’s iron in the quartz. You can use iron out and a 5 gallon bucket to soak the geodes for a few days. Thanks for watching.
I have heard you can find Geodes near Woodbury TN. That’s still a good drive but not horrible. I have not hunted creeks in your area. I would try to go east into the highland rim. Try google maps on the satellite view to explore and find gravel bars. Good luck and have fun exploring.
