Congratulations on your 5000 subscribers. Well done! I've seen them feeding feathers to the chicks and hadn't given it much thought until you mentioned it assists with the breakdown of the fish. Love that weather. I hope it hangs around for another month or so. 🤞
Thanks very much John, it’s a good milestone to hit and I’m so grateful to people such as yourself for supporting the channel.
All the best mate 👍🏻
Wonderful, such fabulous images and video of the Grebes and humbugs, I have to say they are among the best I have seen of those beautiful birds. I love the interactions of you and your dad, I wish I could do the same. Thank you for explaining about exposing for the highlights and then under exposing that is such valuable information for the amateurs among us. As always Dan I loved the video, your enthusiasm and knowledge. Best regards
Andy
Cheers Andy, I always really appreciate reading your comments mate. I’m glad that you found the information on exposure helpful.
All the very best mate 👍🏻
Great vid. I love the grebes. I'm just about to build my own floating hide for a local lake that has loads of grebes. Great to see pops back in your vids.. looking good I may add.
Thanks very much Noel, I would love to get the opportunity to photograph from a floating hide sounds amazing. Good luck 🤞🏻
Great video really good looking birds did I see one pull it’s own feather out of it’s back and feed it to the chick
Thanks very much. You are absolutely right, they do pull out their own down feathers to feed the young, it’s incredible to watch 👍🏻
Really enjoyed the video and great to see Pops again having a lovely day out and looking so well too!
Thanks very much Debbie I really appreciate it 👍🏻
Superb as usual.
Thanks very much Alex 👍🏻
Excellent video Dan and Pops! I was just out on Sunday with my little girl to see if our local grebes had chicks... and they do, so I'll be out to try and photograph them early one morning next weekend I think :)
That’s fantastic Geoff, hope you get some great shots.
Thanks for your comment and support mate, it’s really appreciated 👍🏻
Too wonderful! I also enjoy this time of year for the same reasons. I got a couple of pics of a white-tailed fawn yesterday morning. (I posted it on my Instagram) All of that sun light is a bit unusual for you guys isn't it? Pops looks so good!
Thanks Jon, we are certainly not used to beautiful sunshine in the north west of England but it’s very welcomed.
Take care mate and all the best 👍🏻
Good to see pops again.
Thank you 👍🏻
Cheers Dan two weeks of the Grebes absolutely wonderful, so good to see the both of you out and about together again, I've only had a couple of Grebe sightings as have been concentrating on Redstart and Pied Flycatchers, the Grebes are such stunning birds once persecuted for their beautiful plumage, thanks for a lovely video, Derek
I hope you’ve had some great opportunities with the Redstart and Pied Flycatchers, they are absolutely stunning birds.
Thanks and all the very best mate 👍🏻
In Swedish it’s called Skäggdopping. ”Beard dipping”. 😊
