Bond Film: #14
Synopsis:
Agent 007 (Roger Moore) races against time to stop a power-mad industrialist (Christopher Walken) who plots to kill millions in order to corner the world's microchip supply. From the Eiffel Tower to the top of the Golden Gate Bridge, James Bond can't be stopped! Развлечения
People make fun of this scene, but the logistics of what went into the stuntwork of this scene never fails to impress me.
still. now its really cheesy, esp the speedboat laugh etc.

Who made fun of this scene? It must have been the Craig fans.
It's a classic Bond moment. Great stunts and action, and spot-on oneliners. "Follow that parachute!"
@@bobgoran I have no idea, but weirdly, your message popped up as I was watching this scene yet again! It's on Amazon Prime ; the stuntwork in this scene is still incredible! 🙂
My favourite roger moore film.
Still one of my favorite Bond movies. I loved the villains, the music, the story, everything. It deserved better reviews.
The soundtrack is amazing for sure.
The reason it recieved so much hate was because Roger was very old, and at the time most critics were comparing him negatively to Connery. If Dalton had played the part then it would have been better recieved. But i have to say, I much prefer to watch Roger in AVTAK than Connery in NSNA!
@@adamcade604Agreed, and it would have been a great vehicle debut for Dalton.
Alas, Bond needed to be 30 years younger.
Those little struggling sound effects that Roger Moore does when he’s tangled up in that fishing line. The little things like that made him so funny and humorous. I always pick up on them sound effects and they are only funny for Roger Moore. One of my favourite scenes in the whole 007 franchise is the car being severed in half and he just casually looks behind him to see what happened.
RIP Rémi Julienne. You made James Bond car chases absolutely amazing.
L’equipe de Remi Julienne always top class
This is the perfect Bond
It can never get better than this
Humor, charm, incredible stunts and over the top villians
5:10 The wedding band are playing an upbeat jazzy version of the "View to a Kill" song
Great catch!
I love the music at the start of this scene, very underrated Bond film.
A View To A Kill is criminally underrated... It's grown a lot on me as I used to not like it...
4:56 Translation “It’s a one way system you twat” 😂
5:55 that chef with the meat cleaver looks like he's about to hack Bond into Filet Migion
2:20 - This made me laugh when I was younger.
My favorite Bond movie
Why this movie is getting such a bad rep I'll never understand. I LOVE A View to a KIll. First off, the locations were fantastic and this scene alone is worth watching the film. Funny to think that David Bowie was supposed to play Max Zorin (which Christopher Walken ended up playing) and that the original storyboards had Zorin jump off the Eiffel Tower!
ruclips.net/video/m06RAM8Qcx01/видео.html0
I used to watch this all the time around age 4-6. So much stuff went over my head.
Why it's getting such a bad rap is because all the elements *around* Bond are great, but Bond himself is not
He looks like he's around 80 years old, it's glaringly obvious when a stunt double appears, which is about every 5 seconds, and the Bond girls of this movie are more like the entrapment bait of an episode of Chris Hansen's "To Catch a Predator" than actual love interests, besides May Day of course
Besides, it's very slow paced, and while the action scenes are decent, once they finally appear, they're undermined by the incredibly obvious appearance of stunt doubles and dumb humor of the likes seen in Moonraker
I love this movie
5:32 Most elegant bond landing ever. Point.
And he still had time to hand the bride and groom a piece of the cake and say "Congratulations"
I love this movie and particularly this scene because I love Paris and especially the Eiffel Tower. It's beautiful in presence. And the view from it is literally to a kill lol
4:50 This smashing sound was used in the Destruction Derby games
Beautiful opening scene ❤
Grace Jones ( may day ) is an unforgettable woman
Imagine if may day practicing martial arts practice with Jenny flex who would win?
My favorite scene of the movie!
The stunt doubles are incredibly obvious through this movie but I still enjoy it.
Roger’s in about 30% of the movie but we love it 😂
Grace jones is absolutely bonkers and hilarious at the same time. 😆😆😆😆
First time I ever went to Paris and saw the Eiffel Tower from pretty much exactly where this scene starts, my only thoughts were from A View to a Kill. Mayday vs a 76 year old Roger Moore 007. For a relatively poor and panned Bond film, that is some achievement. Respect.
Erm Roger Moore was 57 when they filmed this in 1984, not 76
@@Palestina.non.grata86 no way, you don’t say?!
speaks volumes to the durability of french-built cars: turnpike rips the roof cleanly off, another car hits the rear and your car breaks in half!
Congratulations 😄😄😄
ruclips.net/video/m06RAM8Qcx02/видео.html
That might say Zorin and May Day made an absolutely in-Seine escape.
😂😂😂
Wedding cake ruined after when Bond jumped on top of the boat roof and he still couldn’t help of smashing inside
Congratulations

Gotta love front wheel drive.
What an amazing opportunity that they were dining at the same time as that extraordinary butterfly show
This movie would’ve been brilliant if Timothy Dalton was Bond, his dark take going up against Christopher Walken’s psycho Zorin! It would’ve been such a good match up
yea i always felt dalton should of come in with this one..give him 3 films at least.
Roger Moore is goat
Yeah, Dalton and Mayday shagging on screen. How we were deprived of that…
No, Roger may have been old but he had warmth which Dalton lacked. Without Roger’s goodness and heroism the movie would have been too bleak.
I am sure Monsieur Aubergine has different connotations in 2022!
ruclips.net/video/m06RAM8Qcx01/видео.html00
What with PC and all, eh?
This is one of the very few times where Bond shoots at an enemy more than 10 times and misses... normally, the enemies shooting at Bond have that title
Lands on top of the wedding cake.... not a single smudge on his tux 😂
Moore aged so much between Octopussy and this.
Shouldnt have congratulated the couple then he would've caught Mayday lol.
Roger Moore my All Time Favorit Bond !! at his last Super Great Bond Movie ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
You can't compare this well choreographed scene to the lame car chase in Spectre.
The stunt doubles are too obvious.

congratulations 😂
I thought the butterfly attack scene was scary as a kid.
I thought it was MUCH scarier than a kid. But kids are really not very scary.
Walther PPK
6:01 these evil laughs
I've always wondered, was the butterfly poison tipped? Otherwise how does being whacked in the cheek cause instant death?
French butterflies are the world’s deadliest.
Of course!
They should have called this film a view to a stunt double.
I'm probably one of the few who likes this film lol
Most people love this film except we are not critics.
At least Bond managed to make many frenchmen angry....
Roger Moore is same bond as Daniel Craig once older
3:59 who is that lol
ruclips.net/video/m06RAM8Qcx09/видео.html0
James Bond
Not Roger Moore 🤣
They gave up trying to hide the stunt doubles in this film, I think every time he does more than a light jog, a stunt double is deployed and if I wasn’t enjoying myself so much, it would be painful to watch, they should have credited the James Bond role to the stuntmen of the film, they’re onscreen more than good old Roger is 😂
She kills the guy but has style

Imagine if may day practicing martial arts practice with Jenny flex who would win?
Where's Duran Duran???
May Day doing all of Zorin’s dirty work for him showed that she was essentially a slave, and possibly a victim of sex trafficking. The other two girls in her entourage, the english and Asian girl, were probably trafficked too, and had no lives other than to be killers for Zorin.
Never thought about that! It would certainly reinforce his psychopathy.
2:51
I think Roger Moore should have stopped being bond after your eyes only he was way too old by this movie and tanya roberts must have been in her 20s at the time.
Timothy Dalton should have gone after zorin and may day in his hard edge way

Very clearly it seems this franchise would hate The WB, because one of the movies released just a few years before this one was released when Warner was in the last 2 or 3 years of the Big "W" era (the lame era that set the seeds for The WB, racist fucking network that's nothing like the true studio - the one with the shield and shit).
