Just want to say thank you. I’ve been a Tundra owner since 2007. On October 4th we were rear ended by an 18 wheeler and struck twice at 70 mph. More or less we were able to walk away! Awesome truck, loyal customer!, We made it! Sadly my 2019 didn’t 😢.
Wow, Steve! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story with us. We are humbled by this, and so thankful that you and your family were able to walk away from this situation safely. Thank you for continuing to trust the safety and reliability of Toyota. ❤️
I have a 2013 Double Cab 6.5 4x2, excellent vehicle, 300,000 miles with no real issues. Next up is my 2024 SR5 Double Cab 6.5 4x4. Its an amazing vehicle. I want to personally thank the engineers at Toyota for such quality design work.
Honestly way better than the competition. This truck will outlast any competitor even the base SR5 has the capability of all other grades. Just pure genius
Lol Toyota makes a new gen than does a recall to fix there mistakes. They fix them for free and even sometimes beyond the warranty just cause they know there reputation for reliability. You can't beat the craftsmanship, reliability, and customers service. Now your just grasping at straws 🤡 🤡 🤡
After 3 weeks and 1000 miles on my 2024 Tundra (I Force 3.5L, TRD Sport 4x4, Sport Premium package, Crewmax, 5.5 bed) consider the following: Pros Electronic steering is great, tightens at highway speeds, looser at low speeds Transmission very smooth Excellent power at low RPM, Sport mode is truly something that will get your attention 19.2 MPG average over a mix of highway and town Quiet at highway speeds Seats very comfortable Transfer case shifting very smooth (4H, 4L, etc.) Materials seem to be good quality, seats, molding, trim, etc. Handling is very, very good for a truck (steering, cornering) Cons Had to refit a piece of the window trim that was loose from factory, unacceptable QC from Toyota on this 22 gallon gas tank is a loser - Toyota really screwed up with 22 gallons being the base tank size Radio does not mute when using Apple Car Play for voice messaging, music/radio keep playing HAVC controls are not ideal, hard to see in the daylight On fan speed 3 and above there is a whistle noise from the defroster Auto start stop must be disabled every time you start the truck, should offer a way to permanently turn it off Cannot comment in reliability or durability in just 1000 miles.
Toyota has abandoned its principles. People loved them because their designs were simple, easy to repair, affordable, and long-lasting. The new Toyota Tundra is a complete departure from these values-complex, expensive to repair, less durable, and too costly for most people. This new complex design could mark the beginning of Toyota's downfall!
Can confirm it is indeed a great road trip truck. Did about 1200 miles from southern Arizona through all 5 national parks in Utah over the course of 8 days. had enough room for my family and our dogs along with all our gear we needed. and was great when we weren't on pavement, very capable truck. (I have the trd pro)
I like the truck however the problem is it is the same price as an HD 250/2500 truck IE 7.3L Gas in an Ford F250 or 6.6L Gas in Chevy 2500 and those trucks have much more payload and towing capabilities.
Exactly!! These half ton prices are out of control. Appreciate all the new features but still don’t feel it justifies these prices. At this rate by 2030 we’ll have $100k half ton pickups.
I absolutely loved all my 1983 Toyota Pickups!! Simple Effective Mechanical. Easily modified for Off-Roading, no unnecessary electronics or tech junk. Most new trucks have a massive ugly front grill, tires too small and way too many unnecessary bells and whistles. Trucks like this need 33" tires as stock minimum. 35" and 37" wheels from Factory with appropriate suspension would be appreciated! I want another Toyota but these don't look cool enough, have too much stuff I have no interest in. PLEASE make a simple, bare-bones, core-necessities only 4x4 model with no unnecessary electronics & no unnecessary Bells and Whistles. Look at the 1983 Toys for inspiration. The solid front axle on the Gladiator is attractive but they're over priced and over complicated. I'm ready to buy but I cannot find a Truck I like. That's a problem... So I'm sticking with my 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab V-8 for another year!
Tell your Australian counterparts to wake up, we are sick and tired of being ripped off, they’re going to bring the tundra into Australia as left-hand drive from factory, give it to an agent who is going to pull it apart and rebuild it to right hand drive and sell it to us at triple the cost.
Front end is awful looking plus the windows and center console rattle. Have a few buddies who traded in their new Tundra’s after 6 months. I’ll keep my 21 TRD Pro.
Sounds good, but what is being or has been done to help against rust for us who live in the rust belt? Looks like a lot of bushings that will make noises and require a lot of maintenance over the long haul🤔 I have had 3 Tundra’s, but I am not convinced that this one is better….🤔
Love my Truck...Now...Horrible purchase experience...Bought it and had it for less than 24 hours off the lot and it broke down...Manufacturing issue...a metal disk didn't get vacuumed out of the fuel line, choked the fuel pressure, caused the Cat Converter to melt, long story short, I didn't have my new truck for half a month...They fixed the problem, as they should, but it just doesn't sound like the experience you really want from buying a new car...FYI they (Toyota or the dealer) has not sent me my 2nd set of keys yet either.
Where's the 38 gallon tank?? This thing is no better on gas than Gen 3 !! Should have kept the 5.7 V8 with the 10 speed and Supercharger!! You had the time to do that Toyota because if the other big 3 are slowly fading out the V8, you had the time to make this !!
Junto com os motores , a hidrogênio vc podem usar também combustível sintético e fazer um motor Boxer , dóis tempos , com o sistema do motor Elko que faz 42 Km / L.
Love my 2020 Platinum. Considering the new TRD PRO. Maybe in 2025. Waiting for all the bugs to be ironed out. I see blogs with folks have some issues not common for Toyota.
People still waiting for the 2022 and the 2023 goes by now 2024 come. When they can get the 2022 TRD pro? Lucky I got mine back in 2022. One year of the TRD pro ownership. I would give a five star. The best of the best. Thank you Toyota 😊
Toyota Engineers/Top Executives- “We have five recorded Tundras with 5.7L installed and over a million miles recorded on original engine. Let’s steer away from what works and fold to the green agenda” Keep in mind ladies and gentlemen, these people have college degrees, and are suppose to meet “requirements” before being hired. Degrees are working super well with real great decision making. A high school student could advise not to steer away from what is working. How ridiculous can a company actually be?
I can’t get past Toyota removing the most valuable component (the indestructible 5.7L v-8 engine) in the Tundra all in the the climate change hoax. I will keep my 21 Tundra enjoying the sound, feel, and reliability of the v-8 engine. Shame on you Toyota.
I think Toyota should name the truck under the corolla or Rav4, because it will eat sales of other cars. I think they should put in under a common name, rather than it's own name if it is based on unibody platform. Rav4 stout, or corolla stout.

Comes standard with a 15k markup. Yay.
Only if you’re dumb enough to pay it.

How about these recalls addressing engine failure on 100k tundras
lol 😂
Lol Toyota makes a new gen than does a recall to fix there mistakes. They fix them for free and even sometimes beyond the warranty just cause they know there reputation for reliability. You can't beat the craftsmanship, reliability, and customers service. Now your just grasping at straws 🤡 🤡 🤡
Great truck! Toyota needs to get it's dealerships under control though, the markups keep a lot of people out of these vehicles.
Offer a blackout option for 1794. I want the brown interior but hate the chrome
After 3 weeks and 1000 miles on my 2024 Tundra (I Force 3.5L, TRD Sport 4x4, Sport Premium package, Crewmax, 5.5 bed) consider the following:
Pros
Electronic steering is great, tightens at highway speeds, looser at low speeds
Transmission very smooth
Excellent power at low RPM, Sport mode is truly something that will get your attention
19.2 MPG average over a mix of highway and town
Quiet at highway speeds
Seats very comfortable
Transfer case shifting very smooth (4H, 4L, etc.)
Materials seem to be good quality, seats, molding, trim, etc.
Handling is very, very good for a truck (steering, cornering)
Cons
Had to refit a piece of the window trim that was loose from factory, unacceptable QC from Toyota on this
22 gallon gas tank is a loser - Toyota really screwed up with 22 gallons being the base tank size
Radio does not mute when using Apple Car Play for voice messaging, music/radio keep playing
HAVC controls are not ideal, hard to see in the daylight
On fan speed 3 and above there is a whistle noise from the defroster
Auto start stop must be disabled every time you start the truck, should offer a way to permanently turn it off
Cannot comment in reliability or durability in just 1000 miles.

I’m so in love with this truck! I want Capstone❤❤😢
Does it get front tow points yet?!
Needs a v8 option with no turbos, and higher payload
Just as I told myself I didn’t need to buy this…. Now I want it again 🙃

Toyo' tundra still is way under powered for payload! Can't match 2500! 3500! 4500! Overall is still a weakling truck by Comparison.

Toyota should sell direcetly to customers just like Tesla and Rivian. customers are tired of dealerships marking up every car by 20 to 30%

No.
