It's a shame, a terrible shame, what they did to her. It's good that Marko apologized to her. And I'm glad it's being talked about. Although it has been twenty years, it can be seen that it has damaged her career and life to this day. Especially in Finland, her home country.
I've always felt that there is a kind of information embargo in Finland and only information that supports the band's narrative is published. I'm glad that's starting to change.
And also Nightwish career just went downfall. They were lucky for having Floor for a short time for keeping their heads out of the water but she is also something else out of the band. They lost the true spirit and my dream is for them to come together again....

And Marko is a real man when he managed to apologize to her in front of the whole Finnish production, which included not only the crew, but also Finnish artists and his friends. And that in a country where Tarja was blacklisted for a long time...and we know because of who. Further proof that the size of the band was decisive in whose truth was accepted. Things are finally starting to be right
Yeah, it's great that Finnish organizers are finally starting to invite Tarja to festivals the size of Tuska. It was always strange that Tarja barely got invited to small Finnish festivals, while in the rest of Europe she was getting invited to big festivals like Wacken and Masters of Rock. I also heard that she was banned in Finland. It's quite a strange idea for me because she's very respected in my country.
I've never heard she was banned here. I feel like the publics general idea of what happened is that they just didn't get along. I've never heard anything about people not respecting Tarja here.

There were also a few Finnish people in the discussion who complained that Tarja is not able to have any rock solo concerts in Finland and is not able to even get into medium sized festivals there although in the rest of Europe she has no problem. The only events she is able to attend in Finland are Christmas concerts, because there are different promoters than in the metal scene. I even read that there might have been some threats from Nightwish's manager, who threatened that the band would not perform anywhere they invited Tarja.

Her chest voice is not very nice listening to. The operatic gimmick wore off a decade ago. And Yesterwynde is a masterpiece and it's like there never was a Tarja.

They reconciled during the Raskasta Joulua tour in 2017, when Marko apologized to Tarja in front of the entire production. Marko was still in Nightwish. They have been in touch ever since. They have been working together since last year, but since 2017 they were ok with each other. Both Tarja and Marko have since talked about it in several interviews since 2017. People change. Marko has also changed. Tarja already told him in 2017 that he is a completely different guy. And Marko has often said in interviews that he hopes he and Tarja will rekindle their friendship. Even after she was fired, he was the first to contact her shortly after. He wrote in the book that Tarja was never a problem.
I think there wouldn't be apology if he had continued with Nightwish. Sometimes you need space to see things clearly and what really matter. I love those two beign friends again

And Tarja has been singing her own songs globally for 20 years, where she sings at most one Nightwish song at her concerts, only now when she and Marko together sing 2-3 Nightwish songs during a concert that lasts 3 hours. She does not sing any Nightwish songs at her Christmas concerts and these concerts are usually sold out.
