- During the closing ritual of the last performance of Watain's 'The Tridant's Curse' tour, Erik Danielsson get's distracted by a person who (most likely) hands over a fire blanket right next to him. See Erik's reaction as he got disturbed by this individual. Edit: for all you blind people telling me there's nothing to see and all is the same: @ 02:44 a bald looking guy hands over a fire blanket. The 'slicing the throat' gesture is what is totally different in all the other rituals by Eric.

I was part of watains crew during this tour so thankfully I can clear this up for good. The guy who came out on stage was Erik's personal roadie, Terence, and he actually bought out Erik's post gig cup of tea. Erik turned to him and said "Crikey Terry, I've told you before, wait until the smoke pops you bloody arsehole! And is that Yorkshire tea or Typhoo? Because I wont even touch that Typhoo muck! And I hoped you remembered my sweetener. 2 canderels and just a dash of almond milk. Terry? You listening you bald oaf? Tel! Tel!"
He's praying to get his drummer a newer kit because those black Pearl Exports are from the 80's lol.
I don’t see what everyone is saying “someone distracted him” I don’t know much when it comes to rituals and such, but I feel like it has similar to the same affects as deep meditation. Whenever I have meditated in the past, you could walk right up to me and I wouldn’t break out of my trance. If Erik truly is doing some sort of ritual, than I’d say there is no one distracting him here in this video. I’ve seen Watain live before and at the time I was experiencing a very strong emotional trance and connection to Erik. I don’t mean to sound cheesy but I feel if you are a really strong spirited person in general you will be drawn out from the crowd. He stared me right in the eyes a few times, and I don’t even remember the show at all. I seen Mayhem right after, and Rotting Christ before Watain and remember both shows quite well, but I don’t even feel like I saw Watain, even know I was right in the first two rows of the crowd. There is something very other worldly going on during their shows.
This is ericks life. Putting shows up to worship and pray, not the other way around. That’s his way of doing it. There’s nothing more real than these guys. My bf is really close to him, so I know how they work…
Shortly after the concert the man on the stage won the lottery, and Erik lost his car keys.

The guy interrupted something erik considered sacred. Hes stated many times that their music isn't just for show, but that its their way of worshipping their gods and the stage is, at least for them while they're using it, sacred ground. Itd be like some ass hole bursting into your room unannounced while you're trying to sleep or focus on something. Or, a more accurate comparison, someone being obnoxious while a priest is giving sermon. Basically very disrespectful
When I saw them back in March 2018 in New York with my cousin, dude… their ritual was beautiful, intriguing, and It felt powerful. To find out that some dickhead wanted to interrupt that, is quite an insult to not just him but to the band itself
He does this everytime they finish a show. I think this time we got to see him from the side rather than just the back of his head.

I think it was just part of the ritual that happened coincidentally at the same time the guy went there.
Erik spat at someone/something as he went off stage - probably the person that distracted him
