Amazing band. Saw them live once. It was incredible. The feeling of heat coming from the stage, along with the slight breeze, and loud riffs. It was like a trance.
I feel you, totally. First time I saw them it was a constant trance-like state, something with you merge with. Really a ceremonial experience... my body was there and yet my very Self were 'floating' somewhere else, very far away.
Don't forget the scent of rotting flesh from the cattle heads..... this was the case when I saw them live many years ago.

Standing front row at a Watain concert is certainly a ceremonial experience. They finished their gig with this song when I saw them two years ago and you could feel the heat from the fire on stage, and the lights ... it was all something dark and wonderful.

When I first heard this song I was amazed because on the recorded version you hear more studio magic that didn’t translate to this live recreation. The bass line is missing which really gives this song the full balance
