I remember in 1986 when the fashion press dubbed her the face of the 80's. The epitome of the English rose. She said in interviews that when she started modeling it was for a bit of fun, not realizing you got paid for it. Can you imagine the amount of designer clothes these models acquire over the years? And the fact that they worked with some of the greatest fashion designers/ and fashion industry insiders, that's a lot of history right there. In the words of the great Elsa Klensh, "This is Style". P.s. it would be nice too see something about her contemporary, Gail Elliott, "The silent Supermodel."
She was always cute. She was never as popular in the New York City ( and Milan) and Paris, France Shows as some bigger names. These names are; Yasmeen Ghauri, Veronica Webb, Christy Turlington, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista and a couple more.

I think a lot of the appeal for Yasmi, Christy and Yasmeen was that though household names, they seem very humble, grounded and genuinely kind. They also had a very mysterious air about them, somewhat elusive in their lives off the runway unlike the others who appeared all over talk shows, or had problematic relationships with media.

They had FUN with the Clothes... but isn't that what Modeling, WAS about?? Looking carefree and FABULOUS?... Selling the "Fantasy" and EVERONE coveting what was worn, because we would/could become just as Beautiful? But then again... if you weren't from that time, you may not understand.
