She could do anything and be anything. She adapted to any and all designers, no matter how conservative or alternative. Her look transformed the clothes. She was a perfectionist that gave everything for the catwalk and it showed in everything she did. Her look, her hair, her presence in every show was a must see event. Long live Linda!! I agree. I thought Christy was my favorite because I find her so beautiful, or Shalom because of her captivating facial gestures and walks, but Linda is such a versatile model and looks great on everything. I had put off not watching her videos since I'm didn't find her beautiful (subjectively) at first but the more I see her, especially in motion and while talking in interviews, the more that I wanna see of her. Already well established as part of The Trinity- top 3 models by the early 90's; she is the only Super still regularly working. Her career in its length alone is one for the record books and a testament to her reign as the One True Queen of models. And that's no disrespect to Linda who was clearly the #1 model ever during her reign.

Competitive Naomi Campbell and symmetrically beautiful Christy Turlington of the Trinity came close but not quite. Linda is the only one who looks good with any kind of haircut, engine red, blue, blonde, black, anything, with any color and any cut. Naomi and all the others would look like they was donning on a Halloween theme if they even attempted to copy Linda's looks. Just read her entire Wikipedia article, I'm not overstating this, she was lauded as a model on an entirely different level to others who came before her and after her. Without her the supermodel era would not have existed, every model owes her for starting the model worship that's still somewhat prevalent today, she is the reason models started being acknowledged on the league of celebrities and actresses.
She was said to be girlishly sweet but also a big diva, but it was part of her image and "we don't get out of bed for less than $10,000" personality, she and Naomi were the ones who began and popularized the diva trope. Linda epitomized high fashion.
For the record I don't encourage celebrating divas with bad or entitled and spoiled personalities (which is why I like Christy Turlington, she was the most humble and still remained good-natured and elegant in terms of personality despite being constantly praised as the most classically beautiful model and the one her fellow models liked and adored the most, even egotistical Naomi and all-American icon Cindy Crawford both said she was the most beautiful, Christy is also Kate Moss's favorite model, she had an inner grace and beauty, Model Carla Bruni once said "You get ready, you feel beautiful. And then you stand next to Christy Turlington."), but Linda is the only one whose diva-ness I find somewhat tolerable and understandable, the amount of acclaim she got is staggering. I don't blame her for being smug and knowing her worth.
