Thanks! The cooler in the video is a 145. Was a real tight fit with that bear though, as he was a bigger bear. I've usually used a 175 and have never run out of room for a bear in that one.

Awesome hunt video Josh. I have been waiting for this story. Solo filming a hunt especially in the moment of truth is really difficult.
I have never been bear 🐻 hunting yet, even with a rifle. There’s only a fall season in West Virginia but one can archery 🏹 hunt them during the full deer 🦌 archery season from September 29th to December 31st. Plus when it’s deer 🦌 rifle season that is when you can use a rifle for bears 🐻. We don’t have many bears where I am and none around the house 🏡 thankfully.
I plan on hunting public land further south than I am for deer 🦌 with my bow and if I see a legal boar within range I would definitely switch from deer 🦌 to black bear 🐻.
Happy 😃 for you Josh. With their sense of smell 👃 7 times that of a blood hound I can imagine how tough of a challenge archery 🏹 black bear is. Congratulations on an awesome bear 🐻 with your new PSE.

@@DialedinHunter You are welcome. No doubt. I am glad that you found some good water sources to hunt over. I respect the fact that you stayed in your home state for bears instead of going to Idaho or Montana like many others. Shows the variety of habitat that bears can survive in.
Oh nice that's a unique head. Dan Pikar from Eastman's and some others recommended the Hyde in 125 grain + for a heavier duty mechanical broadhead. Not all mechs are created equal. Same as fixed.

@@TheWVgoodguy22 Yeah, I'm interested in that hybrid head. Used to run the Gravediggers awhile back and it was my favorite broadhead. Was psyched when I saw Dale start up Evolution.
