Been watching his public speaking and interviews, King has used the same anecdotes for about forty years 😂 its exactly how I used to interact with tables as a server, improvise but have a script to fall back on and get everyone comfortable. Its smart. Love his work, I wonder if he has any truly enlightened in depth interviews. I suppose the closest it gets is On Writing, his autobiography, which is fantastic
Every time he starts either that anecdote about riding his motorcycle out to the auto garage that inspired "Cujo" or meeting the Florida woman who didn't believe he wrote "Shawshank," I can't help but laugh 🤣

Why is no one talking about the fact that, they are literally face timing a zoom meeting interview in 1989? This isn't a face to face, this is a live interview back and forth. I've never seen his interviews not be a one on one or group talk.

I live in Ellsworth Maine which is not far from Bangor Maine where Stephen King lives and I actually went to grade school in Bangor before joining the army after high School. He is a very good writer his short stories are great. I read something by him that said pet sematary scared him more than anything else he'd ever read. The movie could ever do it justice
That would be cool to live there. A lot of scenes from Pet Sematary were filmed in Ellsworth. I would be visiting them often if I lived there.

@coldbreeze35 he was high on cocaine while he was directing the Maximum Overdrive movie, and it shows. He was also drunk or high when he wrote most of his earlier novels.

He's such a brilliant writer what imagination that comes out with this terrifying ideas. I do prefer his earlier books, eventhough I still read his recent ones because I'm a fan.
