One of my all time favourites. Right behind 'A King and A Queen and Three Children Surrounding A Sword Chair During The Day With A dragon And Lady in The Background Too.'
I love how the guys have so much faith in Flugson. Sam tries to save him with the name test then despite that streeter lowers the bar with identifying the letter B.
Just like real politics, where people in positions of power have no e experience or technical knowledge to command the instutitions they are put in charge of.
I can’t believe I’ve just found this video, and I’ve been watching collegehumor for years. This is so fucking funny 😂 I love the way he says that he isn’t “in charge” but then when David tells him to read he immediately uses his power of being in charge
I don't necessarily dislike the new Collegehumor staff, but some of the older sketchers are genuinely brilliant. This one's hilarious and so many subtitles, like the casual anti-semitism or how he snatches Vinnie's book. Such a good era for the channel
Finally a fuckin mesured opinion about the subject. I do too watch the new content, but i prefer the 2009-2012/2013 era. I hate when "old fanboys" think they're being cool by sayin "oh, it isn't funny anymore". It is funny now: but it was funnier back then.
Agreed with the level of complexity being much higher with the old cast. The new sketches are here’s a concept e.g if people acted the way they acted on dating apps in real life. Then it’s just a series of amusing examples played against various straight men. It’s one dimensional
@@mikecantreed I wouldn't the ideas were more complex just the execution. I like the new guys, but I like these more because of the vintage look a long with the vintage execution, really gritty compared to the new things which are more campy.
the new staff are objectively bad and don't put jokes in their sketches. IT's OK to admit this. It's ok to point out the good actors/actresses they have are given crap material and the rest are useless diversity hires who are worthless and would never be more than a background character in the olden days.
a lot of old collegehumor was driven by outside forces of comedy, like in this video where the intense and hilarious jon gabrus showcases his talents. and these people brought in not only their humor and skills to the writing side but also helped the staff at the time harness their improv powers. this eras staff was funniest for the same reason often say "jake and amir is the pinnacle of CH", because much of it was genuine riffing and on the spot ideas that ended up being brilliant
This is actually a thing that really happened. Guy wanted to know what was in the books but couldn't read, so organized a book club so others would read it to him.
I imagine that to this day no one has told Dan they no longer respect Fluegson. How even now, almost a decade later, Dan still drives to the old college humor offices twice a week, waits for bookclub to start, copy of to kill a mockingbird in hand, and never understands why no one else shows up. Don't dare tell him ye children, Dan lives in a magical world where Fluegson is still respectable, we have no right to deny him that innocence!
Honestly? Dan brought Beef Gurewitch to the office multiple times. If ever I see him on the streets, I'll ruin his innocence fully and completely and then run from him, far and fast.
I just finished re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird. I previously "read" it in highschool but had no recollection from that time. The first thing I did when I closed the book was rewatch this skit haha. Flugson 4ever!
You can still make jokes like that, they just can't be lazy. "You must be a Jew" is pretty lazy. Not saying it isn't funny, but it's not particularly clever either.
I love David's insane, worried overreaction to there being a group of men around a table in an office.
I would like this comment, but I feel like you have just enough likes.

I like how no one has mentioned the OP has 'Middle of Nowhere' by Hanson as their pic. No messing around: good album.
RIP Harper Lee, author of Bird Flying Away from Tree in the Middle of the Night Moon :(

that book is truly rhombus
G
"yawn tree tote fish cover" beautiful stuff
John Gabris' acting as he tries to write 'Flügson' on a piece of paper is truly rhombus.
Nikolaus Cox it truly is, ya fat Jew.
What an astute observation...
Jon Garbus**
Danster21 Jonald Garbage*
Joram Gibar***
Nothing is greater than David's legitimate astonishment and anger against people reading in a circle.
Rhombus*
I’ve always loved that he just gives up the accent by the end
That makes it better thank you for pointing this out.
Very subtle, very John Wolf

The level of acting is just astounding
Brandon Lee it's fucking rhombus

Breathtaking delivery

Eight months. Give or take seven, take.
Ah, Bird Flying Away from Tree in the Middle of the Night Moon. One of my favorite novels. Truly a masterpiece.
Rhombus, even
Don't forget the sequel: Dark Tree Possibly At Night Waiting for The Train (go set a watchman) lol.
Truly Rhombus
This is officially the best username.
Dan always has the best one liners
the old cast was so rhombus
The story of an illiterate person trying his best to maintain a book club is quite inspiring
Reminds me of blackkklansman
nazi's are illiterate

It took him 3 and a half minutes to admit he can't read.

This is maybe the greatest Hardly Working ever.

“This is getting truly rhombus at this point.” 😂😂😂
Even when the whole video is brilliant, CH always manages to make the ending hysterical.
when collegehumor was charming and funny
This is by far the best collegehumor video I've ever watched! Watched it 5 times in a row and still can't get enough!
Flukeson? Must be Amir's friend
This video permanently changed my vocabulary
I love Bird flying away from a tree in the middle of the night moon, it's my favorite book.
my all time favorite hardly working right here
Underrated
Everyone looks so genuinely concerned about his ability to read, it’s amazing
when he breaks at 3:10...fucking great sketch boys
He breaks again at 4:13 and it's hilarious
the more I watch this the funnier it gets
Wait, so he's been running the book club for a month?
Well it was 8 months, give or take 7.... take. If I do the math, it's pretty rhombus.
Or 15 months
2:28 Beatles references are the best.

Glass Onion (2022)
The way Streeter says "What letter is this?" kills me everytime.
fucking golden age
