- After getting myself all hyped on 754x’s, I found a nice JDM model I’ve never owned before.
It arrived in the middle of making the Friday video, so I made this reaction video and then got back to the Q&As.
I’m really impressed - not just Seiko’s usual superlative casework, but also an absolutely fantastic solid stainless president-style tapered & integrated bracelet, which was worth the price of admission alone. This model is a sleeper.
Beautiful watch! Nice pick up, Spencer! Look forward to seeing the restoration video
Damn near perfect size for you sir. The bracelet and case are very interesting.
Ace! I love these watches. Looking forward to the follow up video.
7546 Silverwave Z models from Japan have been on my radar for a while. Thanks for sharing this. They're nicer than I thought. Now I need to pull the trigger on one, after I sell the old Seiko 5s that I don't wear anymore.
Right on
Aren’t these guys just so stealth-cool? What a find with the full bracelet! I had to get a Bellmatic integrated one for mine! Fits it great, though! I hope you film the restoration on this guy!
Outstanding watch! Case, dial, bezel, hands, bracelet...beautiful. My only complaint is that instead of day date it would be more balanced only with the date, but it's just my opinion. Many thanks Spencer.
Super!! The whole thing. Another one Seiko should reissue, maybe as a SolarWave X
Man that thing looks preeeetty nice on your wrist 👍🏻 Awesome review!
I love it!
What a beautiful watch! I want one bad now
Nice little watch; so much charm.
'Ain't little! A hair off 40mm, with a solid stainless bracelet. This thing is a manly watch.
If it was mine I would relume with modern bright lume, possibly blue lume and lightly rebrush the case and bracelet, would make a great daily as it ticks all the boxes, tool watch, rotating bezel, screw down crown, legible handset, day/date, accurate 7546 and a killer blue dial with cool script, this style are hard to find in good order as people wore them to death, I had one that looked like it had been used as a welding bench and hammer but still worked.
I have that exact same watch! I'm the original owner and bought it in the 70's in Japan. I still have the original box, papers and hang tags. If I remember correctly I paid right around $200USD. Yours is a fine example!
That's great! Do you still wear it?
@@SpencerKleinVintageWatch The short answer is yes. I have a half dozen watches I alternate. Your video inspired me to dig this one out of the drawer. Still looks great after all these years. But it needs a little TLC. I will contact you offline. BTW: There are pics of it on WUS.
Battery question: I got a brand new renata battery for my 7548 last winter - in July I noticed that the watch stopped and upon inspection, the battery was leaking the vile battery blue ooze.
Did I get a lemon of a battery or is something wrong with the contact points? I cleaned them before I replaced the cell. Whole thing seems so weird.
I absolutly love this.
Hi Spencer I picked one up super cheap. Had to put a new crystal in that was some job. I also have the stock bracelet but the endlinks look like a DIY metal bar do you have any images or dimensions on what it should be? Ps Love mail call
I'll answer this today.
I love these little guys. Perfect vintage grab-and-go watches. The 82-series and 71-series versions are great too, though the 71-series is a kind of a POS movement.
The silverwave I want is the 6306-8000 those are cool watches well all silverwave are pretty cool.
Great watches the only problem is when they are reviewed on the channel everyone wants one and the prices go up.
Did you ever had time to restore it?
Restored and sold I believe.
I have a watch like that with an SQ engraved in a clasp🤔.
How can I send you a watch to work on?
I have a question, recently I bought a seiko 5 with the reference 6309-525k, I don't find any other like it or with the same reference, how or where can I look to check the year etc?
What is the caseback information?
@@SpencerKleinVintageWatch I'll write everything:
Seiko

Japan F
Water resistant Stainless steel 6309-525K 🅰️ (without color, an A inside a little square)
Thanks in advance
would you be able to talk about the seiko 6119 8080 next mail call?
I'll have an answer for this just as soon as I learn Spanish.
