I personally haven't been playing long enough to see the need to attach myself to my icons. I did keep my icons through 2.2, but if I see a new icon that I like, I will switch (I've already done that several times now).

I keep trying to find a set that looks good, but then I forget hiw fun it is to experiment and use new stuff you unlock. I especially like to ho crazy with the colors and stuff, its nice to see what gradients you can achieve, what colors go well together, which ones don't etc.
