- Follow along from the back seat of the F/A-18F Super Hornet during low level ingress to pop delivery of Mk-82 (500lb dumb bomb). I dug into my archives for this one. Sorry for the sloppy footage, blame my WSO. FYI, the bomb on the right side of the aircraft is released first.
Thank you for not ruining this great footage with music!
Alex Bowman's subscription list has probably gone up 10 fold since Maverick was released...
Keep posting videos, Alex! These are so much fun to watch 😎My video feed is blowing up with F-18 videos and you're at the top. So many people are grateful for the work that the Navy does. My daughters hope to be Navy pilots like you and your teammates. These videos really empower them. Love it!

Hi Alex Tinder Bowman. Once again thank you for these videos. I' m pleased with all this cascade of videos. Suddenly we have so many of them.
I am a follower of you and your team.
Love your videos. I spent a lot of time on the ground with a radio talking to you all and watching the results. Is fantastic to see things from your side. All that fun and then back to take a shower and sleep in clean sheets... Must be nice 😂
I really enjoy the videos. I am a retired AOC and I love to see ordnance in action.
I'm sure you have you have read something similar to this before: I am sim flying with Digital Combat Simulator. Love to fail in the sim at what you do in real life!
I'm a retarded aviator, and I like to see AOC's having fun.
Really cool! Serious question... how do you guys compensate for the change in weight after dropping a heavy bomb, etc.? Is it like driving a car that's carrying a lot of weight? If you had to outmaneuver an enemy aircraft, would you prefer to drop all your bombs, payload, etc. before getting in a dogfight? Or can the F-18 maneuver with all that stuff on board?
Lighter is better and carrying heavy ordinance is noticeable not only because of the weight, but because of the drag. So yes that is always a consideration.
This is so cool
Love your videos sir greetings from Turkey!
I always wanted to join the TurAF and become an F-16D pilot but I was not good enough to be selected for the Air Force Academy. So i couldn't make my dreams come true. 😅 Anyways i really enjoy the videos. Love from Mugla 🇹🇷🇺🇸
Please keep them coming Alex.

Thanks for the treat :)
Are you going to do some extra interviews or breaking military aviation related informations like cwlemoine channel ?
u sure living the life..
Great video- NAS Fallon?
Unbelievable stuff ❤️❤️🇺🇸
Maverick, Jester is closing in fast. If you hit the brake, he'll fly right by you.
Check out the A10 ruclips.net/video/Zgdz4Q70RZM/видео.html
He was 30 seconds off target, 5th gen fighters intercepted and shot him down
You're gonna do WHAT!!!
Goose I've had enough of this shit, When I hit the brakes he'll fly right by
Negative, Ghostrider, the pants are full.
Is this NAS Fallon or somewhere else? Looks like Fallon sort of but I am not 100% sure. As a kid we'd be on the highway that goes through the Fallon area when driving to my grandparents in the summer and if we saw jets up we'd pull over and watch Navy jets blow the hell out of the mountain for a bit. Very cool!
Does the super hornet allow to have visual cues on the hud for these pop up attack, like the F-16 ? And I don’t mean just waypoints on the ground but more like visual cues that seem to be hanging in the sky, that are generally offset from the tgt waypoint ? (iP VRP , don’t remember exactly how they are called) but they kinda help with timings and altitudes. Edit : And when I mean hud, they probably can be seen through the HMCS as well, for all I know… (ps : I don’t think this is secret or classified, but if it is, sorry for asking and please disregard)
opsec buddy, opsec.
@@rickykurniawann : well, given that this is modelled in several high fidelity public combat flight simulators, i wouldnt think this is covered by opsec. it was more a of technical question.
With GPS era IP VRP is no longer needed or used. For pop-up attacks you can practice 30/30 pop up attacks (30ºleft, 30º up, roll in, attack).
@@brunofagulha thanks. Wondered if the visual cues still were available in modern jets
@@rickykurniawann lol, the Brits have been using pull-up cues since the 80's, we call it "lofting".
"Uhh... Oh well, pickle."
Hey Tinder enjoying the latest videos. Quick question can you hear anything from the bomb explosion or just nothing,?
No, you cant hear the ordinance go off.
@Military Enthusiast I usually stream over on Twitch/WhiteEagleProductions
The yellow on the tip reminded me of my time. I was on an ammunition supply ship and used to carry lots of those 500 pounders. One time we were in port loading bombs, one of the SN decided to sit on a bomb and smoke a cigarette. One of the Joe Navy GM chiefs saw him and chewed him out so he put the cigarette out on the bomb. It was funny. They aren't fused in transport so they're pretty stable as long as there's no leaks. They make a pretty good boom when they go off. 82kilograms of high explosives. Btw, smoking is strictly prohibited while on or offloading bombs.
Smoking is bad for you
IYAAYAS/IYAOYAS!!!
Is it always that turbulent when you get close to the desert floor?
Is that concentric circle target thing that can be seen the same one used in Top Gun Maverick for their training runs?
Didn’t see one here. But there are real targets like that in the weapons ranges that they train in
Check out A-10 Thunderbolt II ruclips.net/video/Zgdz4Q70RZM/видео.html
As a matter of fact on this very range is where they filmed the practice bomb drops in the movie.
Nice!
Saludos y bendiciones desde Argentina 😊🇦🇷💙💪
How long did you fly super hornets
Soooo how do I get a ride along in a fighter jet?
Pickle's hot! Stand by. Comfort me. One mile! keep on trucking.
Hi im french man..excuse for my english..so during your différent exercice of dogfight....have you fight versus rafale of french marine? and of course Who is thé Best thé f18 or rafale...stay safe
Did you ever encounter any uaps?
I built those Mk-82s for 20 years. Is that the range near Nellis?
Fallon
Looks like the Wizzo got spun up to Oz!
Bad wizzo missing the drop!
Looks like Fallon?
Where is this ?
Nevada? Is this east of Fallon? Is that US-50 you fly over with a couple of live bombs? I wonder what Joe Public would scream if they knew that? LOL!
Wait, you mean to tell me that military aircraft with live ordnance fly over roads occasionally? The horror!! 😳🤔😆
Did you hit your target?
Fallon?
Was this at Fallon. Is your dad Mike Bowman?
Cheers from chile maan
Nevada gun range?
So many Dos Gringos songs going through my head right now...
What does WSO stand for? Is it weapons system officer? or something else? Thanks for the ride!
Check out A-10 Thunderbolt II ruclips.net/video/Zgdz4Q70RZM/видео.html
Yes! Nailed it!
A WSO is a guy not quite good enough to be a pilot
All I can think of to say when I see any and all images/vids of our armed forces is THANK YOU SO FU-KING MUCH FOR GIVING US THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE FREE AND PROUD!!! Be safe and stay healthy!!! 🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️
From no threats to your actual land or allies.
Just one question when the plane just about to take off from aircraft carrier what does make it move from parking to the launcher? Is it automatic or computerized?
Check out air fighter A-10 Thunderbolt II ruclips.net/video/Zgdz4Q70RZM/видео.html
the pilot applies a small amount of thrust. when the land gear is down the rudder pedals also turn the wheel, and in the case of really tight turns there is a pinky button on the control stick that allows the front wheel an incredible amount of motion.
TLDR: when taxi on aircraft carriers the aircrafts own engine moves it about.
Is it normal to have very little chatter during a flight?
yes, when the Pilot and WSO area mad at each other !
cool
Why is it called blame my WSO?
Come on Goose, get that camera straight.
Did you hit your head on the canopy or something?
Could you do a collab with the RUclips channel Captain Joe?
It was more stable in the IMAX version.

Wow 😮
Earth is round ⚪
Fly right by you... what do you mean fly right by you?
DCS is so cool!! 😂
Backseaters…😂
damn war thunder gettin hella realistic
It's dcs bro, smh
Doesn’t your wizzo know about the stores page ? :P
Looks like fallon
Blame for....
Blaming the wso doesn't seem right when top guns senior instructor said, "if something goes wrong it's your own fault" you owe the guys a case of beer now and you need to think about where you went wrong. 😜 jks, nice view!
You’re right. I should have taken a better WSO. A WSO who could hold the camera steady during -0.5 to 6+Gs. jk I love all my backseat bros.
@@AlexBowman_Ventures 🤣🤣🤣 keep up the good work Al
You had ONE JOB... ok maybe 2 or 3
Um we can clearly see there's no back seat 😂
How does one get lucky enough to be a passenger in a fighter jet? I see famous people get to all the time but what about a cop ? Lol
wet salad officer
😘🥰🦋💓🦋😘🥰😘🦋💓💓🦋🦋😘😘🥰 you are a very nice beautiful and very intelligent boy .
Jesus Christ what the fuck
Blame your boy for what? I’m asking having not watched what I assume is a part 2 that exists. Someone tell me what the deal here is.
On a side note, had you been born with a somewhat decent head on your shoulders you’d gone USAF and not have to worry about luggin around dead weight behind you.
Cheers 👍
Lmfao the passive aggressiveness between people in the American military
@@bird.9346 you made a couple assumptions there 😉
USAF have WSO’s too
@@jms0313 in one aircraft. The f-15e. In the navy it’s common.
Meh
Talk to Goose about that lousy video.
You need a new graphics card, yours sucks. (sarcasm before anyone misses it)
