Today in my last video about essentialism for a while, I go over 7 ways it has effected my life for the better, and the ways I put these methods into practice.

Hey everyone. My name is Nicholas and I make videos most about my experiences with minimalism, frugal living, tech, and things of that nature 🌱. So if that sounds good to you consider subscribing and I'll see you in the next one ✏️ - Хобби
The internet has fucked the world. I journal and started painting. As my mind would never rest. I don’t watch news, TV or want to know about everything that goes on. Great channel. Ty
I still can’t believe I found a minimalist who loves books and games.and books. I like physical media so I never thought having these hobbies lent itself to minimalism. I’m glad to be proven wrong.
Love whenever the cat gets a feature in your videos! So beautiful 😊
Thanks Rhiannon!!
Just get rid of clutter and do one thing at a time. I sold of a bit of musical gear and only listen news once a day. Eat a variety of food and at least I cook once a week for two days. When dry outside a daily walk, with or without camera. Greet people, even strangers.
Lolz I too just sold of music gear what a coincidence
That's awesome, I'm currently trying to sell my musical gear as well
Embracing essentialism clearly emphasizes the power of focused choices and the peace that comes with it. Streamlining decision-making not only declutters life but aligns your daily actions with your long-term goals. 👌
I’m glad I now have a description or word for how I live life…. My wife is the total opposite though 😂
When I was in my early 20’s I collected a lot of stuff I didn’t need and I stopped but when I got married my wife showed me it was okay to collect things I liked
5:31 I’m 29 as well and had to learn to set boundaries with people who always expected me to be there and would pout if I didn’t
I want to thank Nicholas for changing my life for the better, since I started watching his videos I have made good decisions in my life, and I feel much better about myself.
Thanks so much!!
Seeing the tag that you're 29 was such a relief. I turn 30 in October and also have been on my minimalism/essentialism journey the past few years. Definitely harder with kids but maybe it will rub off on them
Even if I didn't understand the language you were speaking in your videos I would gain positivity from them. The serene, calm delivery and atmosphere complements the topics your raise so beautifully.
I am going to pick out my favorite clothes and donate the rest that aren’t for work.
I was the same where i always wanted something coming in to keep my mind from being bored until i heard japanese minimalist Fumio Sasaki talk about boredom and the benefits of just letting yourself daydream. Now i actively take time out to allow myself to do this.
Kitty time is essential time well spent. Not only one but two sweet kitty shots! Thanks NG! (and the other stuff was good, too) 😸
Glad you enjoyed it!
Watching this sitting on the toilet.
Great video as always. The cat wink at 06:48 was perfect!
I get bored too. But if I'm laying down, I want to have a random book to read. I like to get short kids books 📚 😅
Hey Nicholas great work
That's some good way to live quality life, ✌🏼 NICHOLS
Thank you!!
Refreshing take, that's helped me chill on my commute and reset. Very welcome.
Appreciate the content
I love your videos, Nicholas! I always gain something g from them and am grateful for your efforts. Keep it up! ❤️
Always informative, thank you❤
Thanks!
The boredom bit is one I didn’t expect. I’ll have to try it!
I have to say that for whatever reason, this video landed perfectly for me, at this time in my life, and I want to thank you sincerely from all of my wellbeing and understanding! Thank you again for sharing what shows up through you!
Thank you!!
Great stuff! Loving the new b-roll
Appreciate it!
00:41 One of my favorite techniques!
Good stuff👍🏻
Yeah strongly recommend safety razor. Bought it yesterday, amazed today. One of best things like floor sleeping and barefoot shoes i implemented earlier this year
Interesting to share ideas of mental minimalism and not just stuff decluttering like it is often promoted by other minimalists (of course decluttering stuff is important to me as well though). Thank you for the great job on your channel !
Thank you!!
Already curious about how you're going to talk about the philosophies you've discovered ✌.
Thank you so much Britta!!!
Love it
I'm just here to tell you that your kitty is adorable ☺ Nice video as always!
Thank you!
Great video! I like the appearance of kitty, who is clearly an essentialist also.
That she is!!
I’m a UK minimalist and essentialist and want to say I love watching your videos 😊
Glad you like them!
Okay, all the information in this video is relevant and excellent, but my biggest take away is that I need more plants in my house. Was that a monstera? Beautiful!
Yes it is! My second favorite plant.. I wanted something extraterrestrial looking when Starfield came out 🤷🏻♂️
Resonating with this huge. I struggle with consumerism being a tech channel and all but I've using a flip phone over the last week to "cut back" in another way. So far so good, but man that smartphone flinch is real.
I hear you. A healthy reset sounds so good sometimes
Just getting rid of my ps5 and streamlining where I buy games has destressed me to a degree.
Cool hair dude
Agreed!
Thank you!!
👍👍
❤❤❤❤❤
If we had the chance to shape a private community with Nicholas, what would you want it to include? Let's share our wishlist below!
Minimalist long hair routine next?
When I figure out a routine 😂
Why are all the minimalist calling it essentialism now. Minimalist myself but when did this occur?
I’ve been saying minimalist myself for years, but I understand it can be misleading. Essentialist can suggest that one is allowed to have what’s truly important to them, not just the absolute “minimum”. Might scare some people off.
It’s more accurate… and “minimalism” doesn’t sell anymore. It’s “out of fashion”.
@@meursault-ey7wq makes sense
@@dexterie interesting. Just learning of this
The term minimalist might also be confused with doomsday preppers. IDK, I'll probably keep saying minimalist.
Bro, you look like Jesus, i love your hair.
Great hair…!
Thank you!!
No insta ????😢
Your code for sponsors should be NickyG. I’m sorry
Twas my nickname growing up
First comment
3:50 Just realised you are pretty hairy. :P
I'm sorry Nick but that was such an unsatisfying ad 🤭 like bro you just had shaving cream on your face and didn't even shave/trim your beard!? Damn 😅
But other than that, great video as always! 👌🏾👍🏾
If I don't trim my beard legit grows up to my eyeballs
love your videos, but you could use a haircut. Is all that hair "essential? 😉
You’re not wrong 😅
That's impossible. It's impossible to not watch the news at all and have a clear plan for your life. Because politics can change your life. You can't be selfish and do only what you want if you have children. This is the first time I've just heard the word ‘essentialism’. And it's too complicated a concept for me.
How do you checkmate the true minimalist monk or nun that can live without sex (or eliminate intercourse from their remaining lifetime)? Most Caucasians can’t beat that move.
Real essentialists are monks and nuns? Thesis?
Hi Nicholas! I love your channel and the ideas you share. We are the same age and have much in common regarding lifestyle. Just wanted to leave a comment on “ignoring the news” part, not only I can find it a bit “trying not to face the problems”, but it can lead to much more worse outcomes if you weren’t aware of something important, or didn’t follow the politics at least for a slightly bit. Personally me, as a person living in Ukraine 40km away from the frontline, I find it hard not to monitor the news all the time, but I would love to do it less. Probably, the only solution to this is move west of the country
I completely understand. In your case the news is extremely relevant to your situation, I suppose following it in moderation could be an option so it doesn’t consume you. Hope you’re staying as safe as possible 🇺🇦
