I fell in love with Meryl after watching Sophie's Choice.. that movie stuck with me my whole life.. I was blown away by her command of the German language.. in awe actually.. and then she throws Silkwood at me..😅. She looked like a totally different person.. now after all these years I see she truly becomes a different person in every role and I would like to give a shout out to her make-up artist and hairdresser.. who's been with her from the beginning.. says a lot about her that she has such loyalty from friends and associates.. finally.. i have loved Abba since they won the 1974 Eurovision awards so who better to be my Mamma Mia ❣️

Although I understood the point of the speech, and am not a Trump supporter (tho def not a Hilary supporter), she lost me as a fan that day because of it; I just didn't want to hear all that during an awards ceremony, and she (and other actors) have rarely to never said anything political, that was actually of any real value or proving a thorough understanding of politics and policies; mostly just opinions and uninformed rants. I wish all celebs would keep their political opinions to themselves; I've stopped being a fan of several now because of it. They are sorely under-informed and live spoon-fed lives, topped with unappealing heaps of arrogance that make it all the worse. (Sigh)
Scent Snob The way I see it, the celebs are the citizens of a country and world, and they have all the right to raise their concerns (just like every other citizen) in private or at an event, when some political policies are affecting their work.. Moreover, if someone is a fan of an artist's work, the artist's personal views shouldn't make a difference to that person's admiration for the artist's work..
Meryl Streep is a versatile performer. She has the personality that makes you wonder what she really is. Her ways are endearing and funny. Basta I like her.
