What do you think of the Yamaha MT-07? Are you a fan of that hyper-naked styling, let us know in the comments section.

Many thanks for your honest review here. I recently returned to two wheel transport, and bought myself a secondhand low miles 1250 Bandit. I have found this machine a little to weighty for me, and also a little tall. The whole experience hasn't inspired confidence within me, and as such I have barely ridden the Suzuki. I've been checking out videos featuring the MT-07 in recent Months. I'm more tempted than ever to purchase one now before the onset of the English Winter. Thank You BikeMatters.

Just bought mine a couple weeks ago. Still choking through the break in period, and it’s so difficult not to roll the throttle back and giggle like a school girl. Did it one time passing a car on the highway and now I can’t wait to do it again 😂

It's been 20 years since I've been on an MC. It was only for one summer. It was 96 Katana 600. I have recently caught the bug again and the MT-07 just might be my next bike.

Highly recommended bike the MT07. My son bought one brand new and I did most of the running in while he did his bike training. Excellent bike! It's a little cramped for me (I ride the Tracer 900) However what a bike the MT07 is. Superb handling and a very torquey engine. I don't think you can go far wrong, after saying that can you really buy a bad bike these days?

This is a great bike! I have the XSR 700 which is the same bike with cafe racer design.
I highly recommend this motorcycle. Nice torque and acceleration. Easy to handle and still solid on freeway.
    It hits all the boxes.
The only thing is not really good os the stock exhaust. It sounds like crap. But once you upgrade it sounds amazingly well.

I nearly went for the 07 but test rode the mt03 and it’s brilliant. It hits 60 mph in under 5 secs, has better suspension and it’s great fun. You can rev the nuts off it without reaching dangerous speeds. It’s also very forgiving and cheaper to run.

I've been riding the 03 for a few months and put 4k miles on it. Both are great commuter bikes, but I think after a while you'll want to upgrade. I sure am. I'm looking to get the MT07 for longevity and a more fun commuter. The 03 has definitely been great, but I just want a little more "umph."

    • @user-rf9me7xm1w
      @user-rf9me7xm1w Год назад +6

@@marcuslee2026 Fair enough, I can see the attraction of the larger engine. If the 07 was upgraded in a similar way to the latest 03, then I would think seriously about buying one. Trouble is, there’s also so many other bikes to choose from in that sector. I’d have to test ride the trident, aprillia, Honda 650, gold star, sv650, bmw urban gs, royal enfield interceptor to name a few. There’s one advantage of swapping my mt03 for an 07 is that they look so similar, that my wife wouldn’t notice !

i am still not sure :D mt 07 is the first on my list as a first bike. but there are a lot of great bikes out there. cant decide if i maybe go a class higher and go for a 09/z900 or maybe 890 duke. at the same time i think the 07 is the best to learn everything on it. and aftermarket is something important for me. exhaust and little things for example. and if we talk about suspensions, i might upgrade them to better ones. and besides all of that, i need to find one available. thats the hardest part yet :p great bike, thanks for the detailed review

The CP2 engine is the best in its class the MT07 is the most reliable bike in its class as well. If you want a bike that's easy to maintain fun to ride and cheap on your wallet get the MT07, and the suspension is a easy fix for under $400

Me favorite rim colors if im must be honest is white or gold 😁👌🏻trident 660 or mt 07 🤔 after seen techspec and dyno graph im must say i choose probably mt07 be small margin 👌🏻 mt have better low and midrange rpm up to 8k rpm around with its couple kg less than trident it give even better results in terms of elasticity at road however trident from 9 k rpm up to cut of limiter fly 🌪 produce more power one issue with trident is that they put cut off limiter right at peak power point 🫣 rather than allow engine to spin lil more rpm for better avg power at particular gear anyway for daily riding mt07 is better setup 👌🏻 i more likespeedometer on trident i mean how it looks 👌🏻 dimension are very similar frame head angle seat hight wheelbase tire size breaks suspension all are close in terms how thise bikes loooks i lil more like trident coss i overall lil more like classic bikes looks both sound nice 👌🏻 but like im write i choose mt07 as daily thanks advantage at low and midrange rpm corelate with its lower weight according to test motorrad from 2021 when you have on mt07 6000 rpm on trident for not stay behind you must have 7000 rpm 👌🏻👍🏻in fact trident at lastgear from 60 to 140 was not behind mt07 but they go head to head 😁👌🏻quees why ? If mt07 is lighter and have so much more troque and power down low 😁 yep trident jus have diffrent gearing its engine at last gear just spin more rpm where it have similar power at engine crank to mt07 👌🏻manufacture give them such diffrent gearińg beacuse both achieve peak power at diffrent rpm = trider at biger rpm so for achieve in both max velocity limit be all outside resist you must give both bike diffrent gearing mt must achieve 200 at 9 k rpm around vs trident at like 10 k rpm more less 👌🏻

    Very good review
I got the tech black. Love it
The cyan version for me is a little bit more for girls.
What i want is the tech black with the tec blue wheels. That would be awesome (for me)
And indeed when you brake hard the suspension is soft. The engine brake is also hard but you get jused to it.
But the wind on the road above 60 miles (100 km H) is very bad in my opinion.
And the placement of the horn is very bad. Can't find that thing when i need it.
Great bike but very hard to ride slow with it haha
