Bruce Wayne Tribute with Sweet Dick Whittington, Chuck Street, Jhani Kaye, and Mark Wallengren.

This is a tribute to a friend of many of us from the past who helped us go to and from work for 16 years (18 if you lived in the Inland Empire), the Dean of America’s Traffic Reporters- the late Bruce Wayne. 4 of his friends and co-workers gather to share their memories of Bruce. All of them are LA radio legends.
They are:
• Sweet Dick Whittington, who “persuaded” Bruce to become a co-conspirator in some of the most remembered misadventures in radio history.
• Commander Chuck Street, who considered Bruce his grand mentor, and went on to share the skies with Bruce for many years.
• Jhani Kaye, who was Bruce’s friend and boss at KFI, who shares what are possibly the only videos of Bruce that he recorded himself.
• Mark Wallengren, who was on the air the morning of June 4, 1986, and was the first to realize there was something wrong when he was not able to reach Bruce just after his usual 1st report just after 6 in the morning
Even though it was almost 40 years ago, you may still get a lump in your throat listening to them recount the events of that day, but at the same time there are many very funny moments as they share some of the fun times they shared with Bruce.
