Thank you soo much. I was building my motorized bike for 2 days then I was trying to start my bike nothing was happen. Thanks God I Found your video before I got frustrated. And I was following your instruction and what was happened my bike started right away. You are a great guy and I'm so very happy and thankful❤
This was a godsend. Thank you so much, I had the first issue you mentioned and was getting baffled and frustrated. Extremely clear and informative, and got my machine running like a dream.
Did this and it fixed my issues. Good vid bud. I had to tighten my butterfly nut a little more than your example. Chalked it up to worn pads and high compression. Cheers
Thank you very much. I have watched 5 or 6 videos on clutch adjustment and since I'm still watching more videos it's obvious non of them helped me. Until now. You fully explained how to adjust the clutch. It worked. Thank you. Every one else left out key information. I feel like they did it on purpose so I could not fix it myself and would give up and take it to a shop and pay to have it adjusted. Very dishonest as far as I'm concerned. So thanks again for explaining "each & every" step to correctly adjust the clutch.
Nice on the cluth adjustment💯 I use extra heavy duti grease for the clutch gear ⚙ but definitely will check out that spray you used 👍 nice on the video ma bother mat God bless you the family and the whole world stay safe ride safe 💯💪
Thank you so much for this video man. Really appreciate when a person gives straight forward and step by step instructions that are easy to understand.
I'm glad I found your video again. My clutch will not adjust. When I loosen the chain the clutch assembly wobbles. It seems to be more extreme than the normal play I have seen in these motors. The drive gear on the other is tight but the assembly is loose. What do I do next?
Thanks. My 66cc wouldn’t start until I ensured that the clutch pads were loosely fitted in the plate and I’d increased the tension on the main clutch spring. Then it started up easily.
Awesome how do video! It helped me out big time, clutch now works perfect now! A very informative and straight to the point video! Thank you! Subscribed!
Dude you just save me..my back tire was locked and i was working on it for hours , and all it was ...was the clutch wire not tight enough😂 thanx for the video ...i probably would of tore the bike apart if you wouldn't of uploaded this video👍
Motored Life everything rolls smoothly, I've even had the motor running last night. But when I release the clutch it slips for a second and then starts to turn over. I thought maybe during assembly someone handled the internal clutch components with oily hands or maybe the flower nut is too tight? Any help is much appreciated!!
Thank you so much this video was exactly what I needed my clutch arm was a totally different now it’s all tight doesn’t even move when I had it before it was all the way in and that’s not how it’s suppose to be
Just installed a new engine today and clutch wasn't working. Glad I found this video. Works now. Took cover and plate off, messed around, and works now. Also learned about bike clutches. Kewl
your video did help me out i had unlock clutch this i have try feel flower nut when went tight i lose up you put between screw that how it holds flower nut.
Should probably add that sometimes one of the engine block bolts behind the clutch plate itself can come loose and lock everything up, even with the clutch engaged. The bolt came loose and pushed out to lock the plate.
Just watching this now. I loosened my clutch plate abit awhile ago. And before that my bike used to crank up with about 1-2 released of the clutch. Now I find that it’s a matter of luck for the engine to crank up. Sometimes I’m peddling for 10 miniutes releasing the clutch and it won’t crank. But when it cranks the engine is smooth af. Very fast and nice to ride. Do I need to tighten my clutch plate ? Because my clutch cable is good
Not sure if you'll see this comment with how old this video is but worth a shot. A 'nails on a chalk board' type sound is coming from what i believe is the clutch area, what would cause this sound? Improper lubrication? Broken or severly worn parts/components?
Do you have a video showing clutch pressure plate adjustment after replacing worn out pads on a Grubbee 49cc 2 stroke? Thanx for any info-John in Texas
Assuming your just needing to adjust the clutch and can still roll it etc. In stead of holding the clutch arm, just disengage the clutch by pushing your pin in or if you have the clutch with the grooves on the lever hold it on the last position. I have the red and black clutch lever with the grooves so I just pull it in and lock it in one of the grooves then I can undo the flower nut. If you are having a problem with the clutch lever and being able to hold it just pull it with a zip tie until you're finished
i dialed my clutch in basically as you showed. seems like my tire wants to lock up after rides, then loosens up when shes all cooled off, ever heard of that?
this is one of the best help videos I've seen - I have a new motor the clutch is so stiff the rear tire locks - you video is exactly what I needed - now I need help wit adjusting the throttle cable which doesn't seem to have play - cable is too long and throttle turns only an inch or less - when I assembled the carb the insert tube that holds the cable was very tight and I had to pull it out with tweezers - could this be the problem? thanks much
Thanks flr video!! What about when you pedal then pop the clutch to start but the back tire skids like the motors locked up..but starts after a couple attempts..i even pedaled down hill and it will still do it but once its started its fine..any advice??
Hello your probably not on this account anymore but I guess it’s worth a shot me asking. My clutch arm (where the clutch cable runs through and you have to screw it in with the little screw) is bent inwards and because I need my clutch cable so tight it’s rubbing on my carb and sticking I was just wondering if you had a video where it shows how to adjust the clutch arm
heads up your Clubman bars are backwards or upside down or you like your throttle on the left side? Those are designed to be the other way and if you run them the direction that'll it will be uncomfortable angle on your wrist but I love this video probably one of the best I've seen
Hey man I just got a motor bike kit recently. I’m having a problem with the clutch rn and although this video is helpful for the future of my bike I need help with another issue that arose while building please let me know if you could be of any help
I did exactly what you showed and my clutch still slips no matter what. When you pull in the clutch handle my star nut keeps going after 3 turns. And the more you tighten the star nut it pulls the clutch handle in. And it still slips no matter how tight I go. Why is my clutch arm pulling in when I tighten my star nut on the clutch plate? Why would it still slip?
i have 2 questions first one is i have jack shaft on my 80cc and when i release my clutch to take off the engine dies and 2nd question what is the red material around the tank
Thanks this is pretty helpful. How could pedal through when the clutch lever is out and it becomes SO TUFF to pedal your wheels? Should I loosen it up to the point b4 the CLUTCH SLIPS?
Hey man great channel i watch all your vids , i have another ques how much play should the needle bearing between the conecting rod and the piston have ? This is the second engine i had the same thing happen it looks like the wrist pin is pushing on either side of the clips and pushes them out into the engine , im at a loss these engines should last longer than 150 mile! Btw i bought one from gasbike a gt7 80cc and one from kingsmotors a yd100 i rebuilt the yd100 and its running but i hear a rattling noise which i think is the conecting rod moving around . if the gave me the wrong bearing they should replace the whole thing .
ho motored life ,i keep adjusting the idle screw on the clone bofeng nt carb , how to keep engine running , will cut off if i slow down or stop ,have to keep feeding gas, ive tried everything ,except jet change
Easiest way I've found is to adjust your cable to take out the slack depress the clutch handle to the lock if the clutch won't disengage spin the star nut out till it's free and then back in 1 or 2 notches should be set if it won't engage spin the star nut in until it touches the plate and then 1 or 2 notches and it's set in both cases you'll need to adjust the cable to remove any slack
@@MotoredLife My bike needs a lot of speed for it to start, however once the engine is started it works pretty well. I thought it might be something related to the clutch.
Thanks for the info.I really needed that.I'm just through my first tank of gas and loving my ride.Know stuff will happen tho.Really like the pearled blue on your project bike too.Happy Trails.
Even after doing these adjustments like you showed us, when we have the clutch arm in there is real heavy resistance. When we let the clutch arm out motor won’t engage. Please help
@@MotoredLife New motor by igalobuy, who suck on customer service. no wear on any parts all even, it will chug in gear like it wants to start but the clutch is slipping when peddling ie spinning so nothing happens or it pedaling is ridiculously hard. slack in cable has been removed and clutch arm has been adjusted to be all the way in. seems like the manufactured pin is too short.

Anytime!
Thanks for watching!
I'll give this a go tomorrow, outta my years working on the bikes, i haven't really encountered this to a extreme degree of slipping until today.
let us know how it worked
Worked well, had to install a new set of pads, but it was strong.
Quick question...when I go to bump start on my brand-new 80 cc the clutch barely grabs enough to turn the engine over. Is it possible to b too tight?
There should be no slipping at all. If ur clutch and gear doesn't turn smoothly thats a problem
