Here's one...I actually bought "You Give Love A Bad Name" as a .45 (the B-Side was "Raise Your Hands"). Almost wore the grooves off that one before I picked up "Slippery When Wet" on cassette (which I literally did wear out, and had to buy a second copy of, much like Appetite For Destruction and The Black Album).
@@SilentBob731 Ahhhh, yes.... cassettes. That was my media format of choice back then, mind you CDs had not come out yet OR they had but I dismissed them as a marketing scheme to trick people into buying their music all over again. I came to find out it was worth it. I bid goodbye to the cassette, largely for the reasons you cited : wearing out, getting eaten/chewed up by tape decks, etc... I was (and still am) a "custom mix" guy so I always made my own blank mixes/copies to prolong the life of my store-bought albums, but caveats still persisted - like running out of tape by a lous few seconds. I was NOT someone who would tolerate a cut-off song ; I'd find a song that would fit, or if that failed, leave that last 3-4 mins of tape blank. Ugh. What a nightmare. Thank crikey for CDs, and the godsend of mixtape recording, the MiniDisc (MD). Sadly, the latter was poorly marketed due to Sony's stupidity and it fell out of favor once that accursed MP3 came along. Most physical media did, but vinyl made a comeback, cassettes seem to be as well, CDs kept hanging on by a thread and also may make a huge comeback, but I especially hope the MD is resurrected.
This was the big come back for the band. They went on hiatus after the New Jersey tour finished with Jon going off and doing his first solo album, Blaze of glory and Richie with his first album Stranger in this town. When they came back with this in 1992 the whole music landscape had changed with the rise of grunge and they really were not sure how well the record would do, or whether they could still perform in huge stadiums etc. The reception in the USA was lukewarm, but in Europe, and especially the UK they were still a massive success (and Japan I think). They booked a tour way in advance of the album and played smaller venues (went from Wembley stadium to to Wembley arena) as they did not think they would sell tickets like they used to, and the Wembley gig sold out almost immediately. Because of this they booked a date later in the year at Milton Keynes bowl which is a stadium sized venue, and sold that out as well. Their career started to pick back up in the USA after the whole grunge movement slowed down and they have been one of the biggest selling recording artists ever since, even though they now only play middle of the road house wives choice style music. Alec John Such was BJ bassist at the time, but he was an extreme alcoholic so rarely recorded with the band and Hugh McDonald (the guy who ended up replacing him) would play most of his bass parts on albums.

It's great to hear you appreciate Bon Jovi. I have all their albums, and like you mentioned, I also love how they seamlessly transition between rock and ballads while maintaining their unique spirit. If you haven't listened to it yet, try "Dry County"-the lyrics are powerful, and Richie's guitar solo is incredible, not to mention the drum building in the middle of it.. Yeah! As always a great reaction, beauty for one of my favorite bands, ever! If you want to enjoy an amazing song, I recommend "Fear", believe me, it will blow your mind! See you! 🤟🦊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
U2? I mean, there were a lot of other iconic bands that you could probably say competed with Bon Jovi. The 80s hair band era was really their big hey day, but they were big enough to survive beyond that time. Though, if I'm being honest, I wasn't personally as much into their newer stuff, and it did have kind of a vibe of them being big enough and loved enough that if they put something new out, it's still going to be successful, but that doesn't mean that they're still the young cool kid on the block anymore. Don't get me wrong, I do still love Bon Jovi, but U2 was a similar kind of band at the same time, with a lot of other similarities that make them pretty comparable, and you could argue that U2 was bigger and more loved. Not that it really matters because the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame is bullshit in a lot of ways, so as far as I'm concerned, doesn't necessarily mean anything, and there are still iconic Rock bands that are still not even in, but U2 was inducted long before Bon Jovi was. Just saying. Just throwing it out there because you asked.
Some other great songs by Bon Jovi are Silent Night (not a Christmas song) the live version, Only Lonely, In and Out of Love, and Dyin' Ain't much of A Living. I think you'll really enjoy them.
Great choice Miss Bisscute 👍👍👍, i love this Bon Jovi song, for me one of their best ones and i loved your reaction Biss 💓💓💓💓 please for the next reaction for Bon Jovi use the songs: It's my life, Thank you for loving me and Born to be my baby. Thanks for this one Biss.😊

My favourite band ever since Slippery. Great songwritng from Jon and Richie. This is right when Jon got his hair cut. BTW Jon was even more beautiful in person; I ran into him on the street in Toronto about 3 years after this. Wow!
The most important thing is to be honest. Simply mentioning that you have reacted to (& enjoyed) a number of songs from an artist/group SHOULD be enough to cover " obtectivity".
Sometimes I wish I was like you Biscute and could find something enjoyable in everything. If I did reactions, I would be hating on 95% of the music out there today.
Hi Biss! I was 13 when Bon Jovi put our their first hit Runaway. Been a fan since, I will say that this song was a switch and an introduction to the change in his music. He became more of a songwriter than a pop metal guy after this. It's good. But it's not great!!!! YET.... It did get GREAT!!! Awesome reaction as always! 🍻👏🤟
You should react to Living in Sin (video clip). His voice near the end, kinda like screaming in pain, gets me every single time. Amazing song and vocals.
Hello Bisscute, fascinating song and performance by Bon Jovi, Keep The Faith at his best. The theme, despite being more than 30 years old, is still relevant, with a fart message, full of hope and perseverance to face difficult times while maintaining faith, courage and determination. Jon Bon Jovi gives a very emotional and powerful vocal performance, the vocal harmonies are quite good, the bass, guitar and drums are outstanding. Your reaction is totally on point. I would like to suggest for a next reaction, to the return of the band Linkin Park and its new vocalist Emily Armstrong, with the song The Emptiness Machine. Greetings from Mexico City.
This came out in mid high school for me (early 90s) and man we played this album over and over at max volume! Bon Jovi were so good at cranking out banger after banger, top tier rock.
'Keep the faith' was released in 1992 and it was the album where Jon Bon Jovi first appeared w/ short hair... I believe this was in response to the 90's as grunge rock bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam... Bon Jovi was perceived as an 80's 'hair band' and Jon wanted to break away from that scene and appeal to 90's audiences. They got rid of the big hair, colorful outfits... and they made their image more casual. They also changed their sound away from the 80's arena rock. It worked... Bon Jovi was one of the few 80's bands that had platinum selling albums in the 90's and they continued to tour arenas, even though 'Keep the faith' sold considerably less (2x platinum) in '92... Bon Jovi's 1988 album 'New Jersey' sold 7x platinum. It was also the last album to feature original Bon Jovi bassist Alec John Such, who was fired in 1995... they said he was struggling to play live and in the studio. Bon Jovi released a rather mellow album 'These days' in 1995... it sold platinum in the US but the band decided to go on hiatus in 1996 to focus on other projects... They finally returned in 2000 w/ the album 'Crush' and scored a major hit "It's my life"... vastly different from their 80's records.
It was May 7th, 1989. Pullman Washington, home of the Washington State cougars. The opening band had finished up and the lights got turned down. A fog machine was generating fog and you could hear sounds that sounded like lightning. There were flashes of light. It sounded like a storm was coming. The start of this song on the album and when they performed it live sounded like an orchestra preparing, odd sounds that weren't choreographed, like they were playing their instruments getting ready. It got quiet. Bon Jovi came on and talked to us, and then they started singing the chorus. Lay your hands on me repeatedly and then when the music kicked in, Jon Bongiovi shot from under the stage 5 ft into the air through the cloud of fog and the crowd erupted into the loudest roar I have ever heard in my entire life. I can still feel it 35 years later. It was of Epic proportions. Later in the set, the spotlight shined on my ex-wife, her long waist length, blonde hair. He's saying I'll be there for you to my ex-wife. It was a pretty extraordinary evening.
That was "Lay Your Hands on Me". Keep the Faith didn't come out until 1992. No less amazing tho. I saw same show in Niagara Falls, NY 2 months later. July, 1989.
Pretty sure I bought Keep the Faith album the same week it was released and jammed to it on my drum set. Had every album he ever released before that and liked everyone. So I did not wait to buy this one when released.

OHHH yeah Biss... I knew you'd like this one. And Jon Bon was a top dude back in the same time that Danzig was. Both are great.... But Jon Bon - and Sambora on Git - got this beat dead on. Plus I like the message.
I feel like Bon Jovi had kind of disappeared for a while. When they released this comeback album, it was a new look, and a new sound. I really liked this song at the time.
Hey Madalena, I think it is time for you to react to: Rise of the Northstar - Crank it up. You will probably like them. Very danceable, much japanese influence, lovely french accent and lots of fun.
It's ok to be subjective, it's Bon Jovi. We all enjoy the song and video. At that tine, I think Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi, and Metallica were the biggest in the early 90s.
If you ever want to hear an absolutely CRIMINALLY underrated Bon Jovi song, listen to "Raise Your Hands" from the album "Slippery When Wet" ... people absolutely sleep on it and barely know it exists but it's a properly brilliant, upbeat party song

The live version of Giants Stadium 2001 is a fantastic performance and you would love to react too
Please react to BORN TO BE MY BABY so u can hear the beautiful voice of JON BON JOVI
This is an epic song, glad you liked it Biss! You check out the live version from Wembley stadium in 1995. Now that's an awesome live performance!! ❤
Yeah! As always a great reaction, beauty for one of my favorite bands, ever! If you want to enjoy an amazing song, I recommend "Fear", believe me, it will blow your mind! See you! 🤟🦊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Really good song, I have always really enjoyed Bon Jovi! I really enjoyed your reaction as always!
Also, if you want Bon Jovi to see live watch their rendition of Always live at Wembley stadium. I think you're gonna like that one 😊
Biss, do you recognize those stairs in the video? the same stairs danced on in the movie Joker. Bon Jovi, the OG Joker.
You would love "Living in Sin" and "One Wild Night"!
Damn, I have to watch again. First time around I didn't realize there was music. 👁️🍬
Lay your hands on me is prime rock star Bon Jovi it is a must. Filmed partially in their home New Jersey. They were on the mountain top. Please Please don't miss this one.
Thank you
Bon Jovi - "Everyday", from the 2002 album "Bounce". I think the music video for that song is still very relevant today, and one of their best.
Pls. react to the song "In these Arms" Thank You 😊😄
I always love this song and wanted dead or alive, 2 fave bon jovi songs
Born to be my baby next..you'll love it bisscute..
Can't believe this song came out in 1992😮
I bought the cd single and then the album 😁
Sometimes I wish I was like you Biscute and could find something enjoyable in everything. If I did reactions, I would be hating on 95% of the music out there today.
'Raise your hands' Album 'Slippery When Wet.
My favorite song by them! 🤘😎
You need to watch Always live from Wembley 1995
This song and "Blaze Of Glory" always gets me so amped up!
You have to hear everyday it's awsome
July, 1989.
@@rbjeans007 You are so right, how did I not remember that correctly. Thank you for the correction.
Pretty sure I bought Keep the Faith album the same week it was released and jammed to it on my drum set. Had every album he ever released before that and liked everyone. So I did not wait to buy this one when released.
I still waiting for you to do santa fe
Oh my suggestion/ I think , i knew you would love the bass , the song in general and drool, I mean love his new look/haircut 😅, yup can't miss with bon jovi 👍 may I suggest, acoustic living on a prayer an evening with bon jovi 👌
Hello Biss, 🤤jaja, thank you Biss ❤.
OHHH yeah Biss... I knew you'd like this one.
And Jon Bon was a top dude back in the same time that Danzig was.
Both are great.... But Jon Bon - and Sambora on Git - got this beat dead on.
Plus I like the message.
Please : Bon Jovi - "Hey God" or/and "Lie To Me"
"Dry County" live in wembley Thanks beauty!!!
La mejor banda del World...
I like when you stand up for dancing 💃 for the song I give a 3 star 😎🫶👍
"Bounce" is their "heaviest" album in term of lyrics/songwriting. Most of the songs were written after the 9/11 tragedy.
I feel like Bon Jovi had kind of disappeared for a while. When they released this comeback album, it was a new look, and a new sound. I really liked this song at the time.
When it comes to rock music We Are right on with style good reaction I have never heard this song❤😊
Hey Madalena, I think it is time for you to react to: Rise of the Northstar - Crank it up. You will probably like them. Very danceable, much japanese influence, lovely french accent and lots of fun.
Oh and please react to John Bon Jovi - Blaze of Glory. His most epic song in my opinion.
Nice song
I love your channel bisscute
Thank your
It's ok to be subjective, it's Bon Jovi. We all enjoy the song and video. At that tine, I think Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi, and Metallica were the biggest in the early 90s.
I think you fell in love at first sight... I don't blame you....
Bon Jovi was my youth. And still is.
If you ever want to hear an absolutely CRIMINALLY underrated Bon Jovi song, listen to "Raise Your Hands" from the album "Slippery When Wet" ... people absolutely sleep on it and barely know it exists but it's a properly brilliant, upbeat party song
This is brilliant tune. 😊 Wait until you get to songs from that album such as I Believe, In These Arms, Fear and Dry Country. 😉
My childhood’s rock hero
