Jon Bon Jovi is a great humanitarian too. He owns a few restaurants in New Jersey where people can pay what they can afford, if they can't afford anything they can work off their meal in the restaurant. Here in Philadelphia he has an apartment building that is very affordable for low income people until they find a job. They have offices to help people get work, get off drugs etc. At the start of covid he wrote a song for essential workers using lyrics fans sent in.

Bon Jovi was one of those bands that was the "sound of the 1980s." This song came out when I was in high school, and I saw a concert with both Bon Jovi and Ratt, two of the big "hair metal' bands of that era. These songs had great catchy melodies and the bands appealed to everyone. For us guys the bands were all very cool and the band members were the kind of guys you wish you could hang out with. And of course the girls all loved the bands because the guys were very cute.
And you had an excellent reaction. When you get out of your chair and dance around, we know it's a great reaction and one you really enjoyed! Keep it up!

Fun fact, this song played on the radio when I was young in the 1980s and 1990s, so I knew the music. However, French being my first language, I did not know the song. When the video game StarCraft 2 came out in 2010, there was a mission called Shatter the Sky. Since "Shatter the Sky" more or less starts like "Shot through the heart", I always heard the music of this song when saying the name of the mission. It took me a long time to find this song.
Great reaction by the way. 🏹❤

The man below who saw Bon Jovi with Ratt!?!? Same here pal, H.S. ....we busted out for the day and got ready for the concert at 8.00. Now, it was Ratt, Bon Jovi and.... Mama's Boys!???? Whoever they were, they jammed opening and I had heard Bon Jovi from their 1st album but hadn't really thought much about them being on tour for their brand new release Slippery when wet.... I was there to see Ratt on their Out of the Celler tour! Boy, when every young lady in the TRI-STATE area starting pouring in, I woke up quickly and this was the 1st song they played.... I was literally stampeded by 12,000 girls going utterly, sh!t house crazy for him and I was at the front of the stage!!!! No joke, you'd thought The Beatles had arrived for gods sake! Anyway, they went on to tear it down and then Ratt destroyed the rest!! Great concert, still have my ticket from Sunshine Promotions. Great reaction!!! Trust me, you felt just like every other young lady when you saw them too.... WOW, TIME TO MOVE MYSELF!!

First I just gotta say it: Bisscute, your accent is sooo cute. So much energy, also. It is great seeing the look on your face whilst discovering our generations music. So cool to watch this. Thanks for what you are doing. Now, this was a crazy bigtime hit, Nationwide, back in the day. By the critics and a lot of people, At first, Bon Jovi was kind of milk-toast and was considered sort of Popish. They caught some flak from us real rock and rollers, however, in the end, I think it is safe to say, throughout the 1980's our girls over-ruled us, and everybody having climbed aboard, we all were loving this band. This song and music video, along with many others of theirs, were all over the radio waves and MTV at the time. When Bon Jovi's "Slippery When Wet" was released, they OWNED the 1980's.

You really should do "Lay Your Hands On Me" next. More high energy fun from Jon and the crew.

Bon Jovi (the band) had just been together a few years when they released their 3rd album 'Slippery when wet' in 1986... Despite singing since he was a teen in New Jersey in 1975, lead singer Jon Bon Jovi struggled to find success for years before he was signed in 1983 and assembled Bon Jovi - Richie Sambora (guitar), David Bryan (keyboards), Tico Torres (drums) and (the late) Alec John Such (bass).
'Slippery when wet' became a 12x platinum selling record in the US to date, charting at #1, become a huge hit from the Americas to Europe and Asia as Bon Jovi headlined a massive world tour in 1986/ '87... The album became a favorite of the 80's arena rock era.
Only 3 music videos were made for MTV - 'You give love a bad name'... "Livin' on a prayer"... "Wanted dead or alive"... Jon Bon Jovi said that he did not want the record overplayed so that Bon Jovi could have longevity. Bon Jovi released the next album 'New Jersey' in 1988 and hit #1 again and sold 7x platinum in the US (7 million copies) w/ the huge singles - 'Lay your hands on me'... 'Bad medicine'... 'Born to be my baby'... etc. 🔥🔥
The 'Slippery when wet' album by Bon Jovi is iconic from that 80's rock era... just fun, rockin' songs - 'Let it rock' ... 'Raise your hands'... 'Social disease'... 'Never say goodbye'... 🔥🔥
