He remains my biggest influence. I remember years ago trying to sing Urgent in a band I was in. I couldn't even finish it, nevermind sing it in the original key. Down a half improved my chances...lol! It's his soulful, intense tone quality that blew me away.
If Lou wants to be in the RRHOF that's great. I hope it sells some records (does anyone buy records anymore?) I for one think the whole thing is a joke considering the 'Rock and Roll acts' that have already been inducted.
Lou needs to retire, every live performance i have seen of him online he sounds terrible and I hate saying that because he WAS such an awesome singer. But if he needs the money and people are willing to pay to hear him do what you need to do as Lou will always be one of the best in my book.
