In choosing a camera with in-camera raw recording abilities, the option of a Black Magic 6k (or 6k Pro) would occur to many (particularly those on a limited budget) - I’m not a professional videographer - so the following doesn’t represent “the end of the world” - but my Black Magic 6k (not the Pro) wouldn’t switch on for me today. I’ve to “rule out” that it’s not a problem with my V Mount Battery - so I’ll suspend “final judgement” - nevertheless my suspicions are raised - probably no camera brand is “absolutely and completely” reliable but it’s just too easy to google Black Magic (the pocket cameras at least) for problems - loads of search results come up - maybe at the price they sell them, quality control has to be compromised somewhat - to the best of my knowledge the “industry” has had no real problems with the Red Komodo - it does have its limitations compared to other Red cameras - it takes about 28 secs to power up - my Black Magic 6k appears just not want to turn on at all at present !
I agree, I’m getting one for my drone work!
Would you rather advise the komodoX ? Considering they dropped the obsolete c fast and the improved image quality ? It’s quite a big money step up
Hi! What other cameras would you advise i the same price or performance category?
Sony A7S3 or Sony FX3. Bmpcc 6k.
@@cbphotovideotips thank you so much for your answer 🙏🏼
