I'm undergoing chemo at the moment, and not in the best state mentally.
These videos really help me, and give me extra incentive to fight this disease and to someday get to explore the way you do.
Thanks for keeping me entertained
Best wishes pal! I hope everything goes well for you!
I wish you all the best❤
Sorry you’re going through this, You can do this Connor! All the best 💪
Sending best wishes to you, all the best chief!
Sorry you're going through that pal, keep your head up get well and get out and walk and explore.
"Life is simple. And when you keep it simple, you get life." Love that!
Put simply but this is very profound x
❤
I actually wrote this qoute in my journal!
So happy to find this channel. I am doing this Camino in a couple of month. Watching you navigate the trek helped me. Simple post, just you. I felt I was with you. I will be going on my own. I'm hoping I get as much out of it as you did. Thank you.
Easy to say, difficult to do. Sometimes things that make it difficult are the circumstances and other people.
The footage quality, and the drone footage are incredible. No silly music, just pure outdoors. Love it.
"Life is simple, and when you keep it simple, you get life."
I get what you’re saying and I agree! Part of me thinks ‘Let’s see Liam get complicated!’
He likes to be a ‘Dark Horse’, keeping his feelings to himself. I’d love to see Liam go crazy! No matter what, we love him anyway!
@@altclut Agreed, but I hope the format stays like this, it's fantastic.
If anything I'd like to see a bit of interaction with the locals on trips like this. but please don't change the style of editing. It's a masterpiece.
No meaningless music ,fantastic
I like that saying too.
Thankyou for the inspiration
I love the fact you don't add silly music and we get the pure authenticity and natural sounds so peaceful and much better experience watching. Chills me right out these videos
You are on your way to taking this channel to another level! Going Country to Country exploring different sceneries and cultures, mate I can only imagine where this channel will be in a year or so! Keep smashing it!
I echo this!❤
100% agree
Definitely, this would be me dream man so fair play to him mate
Its these type of people that deserve it.
what I love about your videos is how straightforward and 'authentic' they are. no 'influencer' style hyperbole or navel gazing, no intrusive music or showy editing, just letting the hike speak for itself
After having a recent breakdown of a long term relationship. Your videos have helped motivate me to get back into doing the things I used to love, I've got many walks and routes planned ahead of me and I've bought some new kit. Thanks Liam
Portuguese sub here. Glad to see you chose Portugal as part of your first journey abroad. As always another great video. Keep it up! (Btw "boa tarde" means good afternoon, good night is "boa noite")
Just finished this exact Camino route a few weeks ago! Thanks for the sweet walk down memory lane. One of the best experiences of my life…
You are a talented storyteller. Keep the story simple, keep walking, and let the Camino shine.
Great adventure Liam. I find the sound of footsteps on a gravel path strangely soothing and the subtitles interprets that sound as applause😆 I applaud you too. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.
Poetic!
Hey Liam! As a portuguese I loved watching your perspective on our part of the camino. The portuguese wish Bom Caminho to all the hikers and pilgrims doing the camino. Its just means wish you a good journey
What tent are you using?
btw. Boa Noite is good night, boa tarde is good afternoon/evening
This is probably the best video I seen so far about Northern Portugal and the Portuguese Way of Saint James. By the way, in Portuguese it's "Caminho", not "Camino".
As a Portuguese, be welcome to do more of these here! Thanks!!! 😁
Wonderful. I cycled from Lisbon. Part of which was costal. But the weather had some challenges. Winds and rain pelting down. Made it truly an adventure. Then we turned inland. Finally making it to Santiago. The Portuguese are the loveliest people I’ve ever met. ❤️
Beautiful! I walked from Porto to SDC, then Finisterre, Muxia, back to SDC, and then back to Porto again this summer in 31 days. What a magical experience. Thanks for allowing me to relive it!
Just came back from the Camino Francés, 500 miles to Santiago. Got into trekking after videos on RUclips like yours
I felt so much for you today when the burger and chips shop was closed, and the shower wasn’t working. Anyway you kept on smiling, enjoying your fabulous adventure. I lived and worked in Portugal for over four years and I do know most of the towns your passing but I wasn’t aware of the trail. Cheers. Warwick
Good on ya Liam. In 2017 I did the Camino Francis. After a night's celebration in Santiago, I continued hiking the Portuguese Way in reverse, finishing my Camino in Porto. I'd recommend doing the full Camino, it will change your life forever.
Your journey from army chef to Santiago has been a joy to behold. Great work again Liam, you never disappoint.
A few years ago I did the last 100 miles of the “French” Camino. Galicia is known as the urinal of Spain and, like you, it rained on us. The Caminos are well worth doing - for some it is a spiritual journey, for others it is a walk. Ending up in Santiago is marvellous - the cathedral is stunning and best seen from the huge square that it overlooks. Thank you for showing us the Portuguese Camino.
Mate I love your channel. You're a likeable bloke and this is no nonsense just pure great walks with fantastic footage views and highlights. I could watch a 2 hour video on this. Please continue these international hikes and journeys. I know it's far away but new Zealand has 9 "greak hikes" most of them over several days. I've done 2 of them and they would be great for you to do and put on here
Liam, I have watched MANY Camino videos and yours is my all-time favorite. Just enough commentary and advice, but fun to watch too. You are such a joyful man. Thanks for sharing this with the world.
What a great surprise, Portugal's coastline! This was superb, Liam!! Also, don't feel bad about not speaking another language outside of English, most Americans have the same limitation when traveling outside of the States. At least you are humble and respectful about it. Good on you!
I've watched a number of video's about Portugal, from van lifers or people who just bought a patch of land in the back country and made a life, but nothing like this. A completely different perspective and another great video. Keep them coming Liam :)
You are absolutely nailing it mate. your walks are epic, the duration of the videos is about right, the editing is good. Very inspirational. Thank you.
I'm from Brazil and it was so cute to see you speaking a little bit of portuguese.
Loved the video btw
Too blessed to be stressed man. Love it. So chilled watching your videos bro
Definitely agree with others Liam your narration and production are getting better all the time, well done and full respect mate 🙌
Wow I can't believe you've gone abroad! Fantastic video mate. Its my dream to walk the camino
Hello Liam,
I wanted to just thank you for all your videos on this channel. I would love to go out and just go backpacking as well, but for some reason it feels like a big hurdle to actually go and do it. I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and have been watching many of your videos. You always sum up what you bring in your pack, which isn't much. I don't know why, but the hurdle doesn't feel nearly as big now, and I'm planning my first multi-day hike in spring.
Thank you so much for the inspiration, and for providing the final push I needed to take the step. I will enjoy my hikes so much!
See you in the next video (can't wait!)!
You're really getting good at this videography Liam, thanks for sharing. You voice overs are really natural - so many people over script it and sound robotic.
+9:58 "Life is simple, and when you keep it simple, you get life. That's all you need isn't it? ...anyway shut up Liam."
No. Don't shut up Liam. You're intelligent and articulate and I value your commentary. Sounds like someone or something put you down in a previous life.
Love your video tour of parts of Portugal & Spain. 😊You always seem to have such a fun time appreciating the beauty of the area where you find yourself. Didn’t want the trip to end. Great job, Liam. 🙋🏼♀️👍🏻🇺🇸
Hey Liam, I watched this video back in May, and as I was wondering what to do with myself for the summer I decided to give this a go. I walked the full distance from the river in Porto to the cathedral in Santiago in 12 days and just got back last week.
As hot as it was, it was a stunning walk and a really wonderful way to experience Portugal and Spain in a non-touristy manner, so thanks for the video. It provided the kick I needed to go do something and it worked out really well! Easily one of the most enjoyable hikes I’ve done abroad.
Curious what do you do for water each day as you hike? Are there public refil taps, do you buy from shops etc?
Hi Liam,
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your film, and the genuine pleasure you convey to the viewer of your experience.
I have been fortunate to stay in Porto and Santiago De Compostela on previous trips but am hoping to do the route you did in May 2023.
It was a joy to see the pleasure you get from enjoying the outdoor life, and in many ways reminds us that you don't have to spend the big bucks to enjoy yourself.
Thanks again for sharing your journey experience, and congratulations on making one of the most watchable professional videos I have seen on RUclips about the Portuguese Camino.
Excellent work.
Excellent Liam, it sure brightened up a dreary wet Cumbrian day here, that shelter looks the business 👏🏻
Dude. Your going be looking back in 10 or 20 years and be like.... Daaaaam. I had it goooood. Top man.
Portugal is beautiful. Another really chilled video and looking forward to something further afield. I’d recommend some hiking in Northern Thailand, Vietnam and Laos.
You know it's a good day when a new video from Liam comes out 😄 amazing work as usual!
Liam, these are a seriously good watch and should be on TV or Amazon. Excellent mate really enjoy them!
Really enjoy your videos mate. Watching them, I get a real feel for what it is like to be there. The fact that you don't use music is the main reason why this is one of my favourite channels. Keep the adventures coming dude! :)
Hey Liam! I live in Porto and would be amazing to meet you on your way and be able to wish you good luck for your journey. It’s amazing how your videos help me relax and be more at ease. Thank you
It seemed so relaxing and blissful to be camped at the beach and hearing the ocean waves.
I really enjoyed this one, makes me want to get out there and explore!! thanks for sharing and looking forward to more of your international adventures!
Great video Liam. Really well put together. I have just booked for this October.
Fascinating video. The immense well-being by walking. We did this from Oporto to the Spanish border 40 years ago. Still remember the healthy cabbage soup one could get everywhere. Now, everything looks very modern compared. An ocean is an ocean. Thank you for the remarkable landscape pictures taken with sensible feelings.
These treks are getting better. The filming and editing are also epic. Falling asleep to the sound of them waves. Doesn't get better than that. Hopefully I can retire to Portugal one day. Thanks for taking us with you.👍👍👍
Liam , so glad I'm supporting you. Brilliant channel and now you do this !!! Well done , easily the best videos on RUclips
That was 38 minutes very well spent, I love watching your videos and can't wait for the next one.
wow love your philospy, the scenery and your commentary
Honestly, your videos are brilliant! Firstly, the fact that you go to all of these diferent places that are new for you but you just go for it - love that! Secondly, the editing is really good and I can't stop watching your videos - great contest and inspire me to do something like this. Keep it up Liam! :-)
I am doing this next year and was gassed when I saw that you had come out with this video. The channel is amazing, keep smashing it mate!
Alburghes / hostels only cost a donation- £15 but your see through tent looks amazing
I absolutely love these videos. You're the ultimate minimalist. Good luck
Hey man, another lovely video. I just finished the first day out of Porto and I watched yours this evening. I had some wild weather today, but always happy to be on a trail. I think you'd love the 'Fisherman's trail' in south Portugal, it's much less urban with lots of dramatic cliff walking and almost no roads. Take it easy!
Literally just discovered your videos. Captures the beauty around you perfectly. Look forward to more
You were in Celtic lands!
I'm from Porto, and even though I've never taken the "camino" I headed North a lot as a young person. And now, recalling those journeys with my family, - through pretty much all the places you've been also, - it gives a mystic vibe, something outworldly, something rough but cozy, familiar, a lunar landscape. While at the same time, I know this part of the world is the antipodes of New Zealand - I see a link, a mysterious vibe, exciting, adventurous - the same kind of sun, maybe, the mix of ocean, moutains, forrest and beach, but half a world apart.
Loved this thanks so much. Beautiful scenery in Portugal. I love the Portuguese coffee too.
I did Camino from Lisbon this autumn, chose the coastal one from Porto too and it melts my heart seeing these beautiful views again ❤
Absolutely awesome Liam! fantastic to watch! 😊
So relaxing to watch and listen to you. Can't wait for your next adventure, Liam. Thanks as always x
I absolutely LOVE the fact that you are travelling that light. While I have never gone on an adventure like yours, I have done a bit of travelling and it was in 2018 when I realised that we do not need that much. Was in England in March visiting friends for 10 days and I only took about 18 L with me. It was more than enough.
I am originally from Vigo and it felt cool to see those areas in the video. Made me a bit homesick tho, since I have been living in Germany for the past 10 years. The shot at 28:47, I see the city council and Cíes Islands. Check them out, they are lovely 😊
Great video!
Really enjoyed this, I walked the Camino about 20 years ago… bought back a lot of fond memories.
Hiking videos can easily get boring and monotonous, but I really like your simple format. Without a lot of background music, that often ruins the experience. Keep up the good work, Liam. Greetings from Sweden!
Hi Liam, I did this route back in 2016 and you brought back great memories. I stayed in the pilgrim Albergues though! This year I did the GR65 into the Camino Norto/Primitivo. 1700km all up. I think you would enjoy the GR65, the camping and scenery is outstanding.
Awesome, just awesome! What a great adventure, really fancy doing that one! Great upload as always, loved the narration and the camera work, just epic! Many thanks!
Another really well made video mate, keep up the good work!
Thanks Liam for great content...always cheers us up!!
Well done, Liam! One of your finest. I enjoy your storytelling and film editing. Buen Camino!
Wasn't aware of this route, looks great! Another quality production, thanks Liam.
Yet another top video from Liam. Full of insightful information and beautifully narrated and filmed. You certainly love a challenge Liam.
Excellent presentation and entertaining Liam. Please consider doing ‘The London Loop’, 150 miles.
Great video again Liam loving the adventure’s you do keep up the great work 👍👌
You’re amazing and such a good lad! I love your videos, Liam, and I hope the Camino is going well 🌟🙂🌟
Liam, thank you. I watch a half dozen hiking/camping RUclips channels,(Girl Out Doors ,WildBeare), just to name two.
And finally someone who puts a map in their video to show where they're at. Thank you again. Love your drone shots.
Love this, I recently drove down the coastline of Portugal in my camper. Beautiful coastline, especially in the north.
Great video as always Liam keep up the amazing content you do
Another fantastic adventure. Thanks for taking us with you Liam.
Thank you Liam from the UK. Your video is uplifting and educational! Best regards!

Loved the scenery, the buildings. One of the best films you have made. MANY THANKS
Love your videos Liam, your enthusiasm and cheery manner makes my day. Keep up the good work please.
A wonderful journey, Liam. Thank you for sharing. I did the Portuguese Camino last year, and the French Camino twice. It was wonderful to relive those moments, and the genuine honesty of your trip.
which did you prefer out of the two? I'm planning to do my first Camino next year but cant decide which one to start with.
Wonderful Liam! Beautiful countries, didn't want it to end! Greetings from Florida,US 🐊
Great stuff Liam, i'm actually in Porto at the minute so this was a nice surprise. Would love you to continue finding awesome routes across Europe
All the walks I have planned for ages, you seem to be doing. And it really is telling me I just need to get out there and do it. Another brilliant video and really love the content and the vibes.

I cycled that same route about 18 years ago. Thanks for taking us along Liam.
Insane video and incredible quality. You've really found your niche here, can't wait to see what obscure places all over the world you continue to explore
A BRILLIANT video Liam (and without the van). It is good for the soul to explore your passions. You really are inspirational. Well Done Mate.
