A few years ago I did the last 100 miles of the “French” Camino. Galicia is known as the urinal of Spain and, like you, it rained on us. The Caminos are well worth doing - for some it is a spiritual journey, for others it is a walk. Ending up in Santiago is marvellous - the cathedral is stunning and best seen from the huge square that it overlooks. Thank you for showing us the Portuguese Camino.

I absolutely LOVE the fact that you are travelling that light. While I have never gone on an adventure like yours, I have done a bit of travelling and it was in 2018 when I realised that we do not need that much. Was in England in March visiting friends for 10 days and I only took about 18 L with me. It was more than enough.
I am originally from Vigo and it felt cool to see those areas in the video. Made me a bit homesick tho, since I have been living in Germany for the past 10 years. The shot at 28:47, I see the city council and Cíes Islands. Check them out, they are lovely 😊
    Great video!

    Hello Liam,
I wanted to just thank you for all your videos on this channel. I would love to go out and just go backpacking as well, but for some reason it feels like a big hurdle to actually go and do it. I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and have been watching many of your videos. You always sum up what you bring in your pack, which isn't much. I don't know why, but the hurdle doesn't feel nearly as big now, and I'm planning my first multi-day hike in spring.
Thank you so much for the inspiration, and for providing the final push I needed to take the step. I will enjoy my hikes so much!
See you in the next video (can't wait!)!

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your film, and the genuine pleasure you convey to the viewer of your experience.
I have been fortunate to stay in Porto and Santiago De Compostela on previous trips but am hoping to do the route you did in May 2023.
It was a joy to see the pleasure you get from enjoying the outdoor life, and in many ways reminds us that you don't have to spend the big bucks to enjoy yourself.
Thanks again for sharing your journey experience, and congratulations on making one of the most watchable professional videos I have seen on RUclips about the Portuguese Camino.
    Excellent work.

    You were in Celtic lands!
I'm from Porto, and even though I've never taken the "camino" I headed North a lot as a young person. And now, recalling those journeys with my family, - through pretty much all the places you've been also, - it gives a mystic vibe, something outworldly, something rough but cozy, familiar, a lunar landscape. While at the same time, I know this part of the world is the antipodes of New Zealand - I see a link, a mysterious vibe, exciting, adventurous - the same kind of sun, maybe, the mix of ocean, moutains, forrest and beach, but half a world apart.

Loved this Liam. I know that you don't really mean it when you said early in your walk that nothing spectacular happened. The whole walks WAS spectacular, well done!!! I walked the Camino Frances 7 years ago and it changed my life. I did the Coast to Coast 3 years ago and found it much harder, at least the Lake District section. To be hones I was not prepared enough. I learned my lesson really quickly though, lightened my load and enjoyed the 2nd half of the C2C though Yorkshire much more (in spite of the bogs :). I am recovering from knee surgery atm but hope to do the Camino Portugues in the next few years (I am almost 69 and loving life). I used to live near Durham before returning to Australia in 2002. I fell in love with the NE and in particular Hadrian's Wall. I hope to come back and walk the path when I am 70. Best wishes for future adventures Liam. Thanks for this. Regards from down-under, Dave

Sunrise walks are my fuel. So happy to see a backpacker youtuber who appreciates a cold one on route. There was me worrying I had to drink endless cups of tea and I hate tea. Love the videos, keep it up mate.

Another great video, nicely paced and edited. The only problem is you keep making my 'walks to do list' longer. Thanks for the effort and time you put into these films.

I biked the Camino from Porto to Santiago with friends in October. Maybe we zipped past you (or you zipped past us!). Loved recognizing some of the beautiful views you captured! Excellent video ❤

I loved this, very naïve at times, but it is so refreshing to just set off with minimal prep about accommodation and greetings like "Buen Camino". So many other vids put out there by hikers are boring with their distances to the nearest 10th of a mile and where they stayed..... and yes, being in a dorm with 12 other snorers can be enough to make you very annoyed. I remember getting up well before dawn, just to get away from the chainsaws surrounding me.

Have watched quite a few of your vids Liam. I enjoy walking with you. You will have to do the Camino Francés now. It’s an experience you will never forget. As they say in as pain “Buen Camino” peregrino and happy trails wherever you may walk 👣

All the walks I have planned for ages, you seem to be doing. And it really is telling me I just need to get out there and do it. Another brilliant video and really love the content and the vibes.
