After playing with Standard Edition for 2-3 years I finally upgraded to Edge of Darkness Edition, mainly because I simply got tired of dealing with the small stash space with Standard edition. Yes, you get some extra goodies along with it, but the already upgraded stash space was the sole reason why I purchased EOD. I can only recommend EOD- edition for those people who have played for for some time and always seem struggle with the Hideout upgrades like me. One extra note though, I really don't like the Trader reputation boost that comes with EOD -edition, because it makes that early Task struggle obsolete. You get more than enough reputation to unlock Level 2 for all Traders (you still need to level your character and have enough money exchange though), and I kinda with BS would nerf how much reputation the EOD -edition gives you.
I have been playing with standard for 3 wipes now, yeah it sucks, but in about 3 weeks you can get an epsilon container and Itemcases instead of stash upgrades. It's good
From what I’ve heard and learned left behind and prepare for escape are the best options for ppl not on board with shelling out $140 on a game. You really don’t need 10x68 space especially once you get weapon/med cases and ammo/junk boxes. If you fill up all that space just sell it. you can always upgrade later if you really want the bigger container but it’s not worth imo.
Just buy the standard version. You can unlock the epsilon container once you hit level 17 by completing the punisher questline. The epsilon container is an 8 square, by comparison the gamma container that costs you and additional $100 is a 9 square. Save your money friends
@@dodyyt4779 begin the quests asap. Once you finish his first few and get yourself to level 17 you'll unlock the punisher quests. Maybe a week if you only game for an few hours per day.
It's a bit shitty that they are giving such a big advantage by paying on a game that's already fully priced even if it still counts as early access, especially considering how many problems it still has.
It's true for 2 intermediate versions but with EOD version it's like a premium version for most of the games and those usually cost 100$ or more. It's also a way for devs to make more money since they don't plan to implement in-game transactions.

Really good and informative video, straight to the point and answered all the questions I had. The fact EOD gives free access to all future DLC content is pretty convincing...gotta finish up Witcher 3 first then I think I'm gonna try EFT out.
Also for all of EU players you'll have to pay VAT so prices are higher. Also don't try to buy it outside of the EU(with the help of VPN) because only versions bought from EU can play from EU countries, or at least I think it is. If you did buy outside of EU, you can upgrade to EU region for a price, for me it was about the same if I bought it from EU first time I bought it.
@@Link-fu9bd Idk, bummed me out too. I'm debating right now if I should upgrade to either EOD or Prepare for Escape just for the larger inventory and larger container. There's a sale right now. But $80-110 for a game is a little steep.
120 dollars is a lot for a video game however, this is an inde game with 46 team members brining you HUGE updates every couple months adding new weapons, armor, weapon calibers, maps, and so on. When paying more for the game you’re also supporting it even though it’s price. I believe it’s sort of up to wins reguarding the instant lvl 4 stache, very nice starting items and the second largest container. Most people purchase the container, as it allows you to skip the punisher quest line for a better container. I believe it’s worth it, but a little bit of a cheeky way to grab some extra cash from the players. You can upgrade your game type as you go, I advise everyone playing the game to start with standard and work your way up if you enjoy the game.
Considering how stash sizes and secure containers take ages for a tarkov player with standard edition to upgrade to, I don’t get how people don’t view eod/any more expensive edition outside of standard edition as p2w. Just get standard edition and try and work your way up to a better stash size and secure container without paying for eod. If you get everything handed to you automatically, it isn’t as much fun as working for it. Only time I would be ok with someone getting it is if they are a casual.
Or you can just buy any container from fence by filtering out the price and keep refreshing till u get one. Its very hard but possible , me and all my friends have done it from alpha container straight to gamma
I didn't watch the video, but the answer to this is objectively STANDARD VERSION! They've added the hideout, so now you can upgrade in-game stuff to acquire everything (except Gamma case, but it's not that big of a deal cos they keep changing what you can(not) put in it, anyway).
well its 35€, so around 157PLN, that doesn't include tax, but with tax it's 193PLN. That's a lot, and that'ss just standard edition. I really like the game, my friend lend me their account for a day and i fell in love, but now i can't play on his account and can't afford the game. I'm heartbroken.
@@memestrosity7522 dont stress it too much, you're just kicking scavs. Throw on a red dot, grab a better muzzle, and swap out the stock. Just stick to the main road. If you spawn anywhere near cabins, head to the gas station 3 to 4 scavs, then check lighthouse, make your way to weather station, 3 scavs, then head to the power station, 4 scavs, then head to the road exit and walk up and down the road, should be able to get 4 to 6 there.
Honestly sticking with standard because not just the money but I have an incentive tp continue grindin those quests to get the epsilon and eventually kappa.
Okay, question. Let's say you play standard and you go through all the trouble of upgrading to max stash and get the kappa. When the wipe happens though you are thrown back down to standard right? So yes you can get back up to where all the big stash and such are, but one reset and you have to climb back up?
It would appear so. I've been playing for not quite 2 months and just got the stash upgrade. So much more space but once the wipe hits gotta start from scratch :/
I bought and enjoy standard edition, have my maxed hideout and Kappa case after ~300hrs (though from people I talk to apparently this is pretty fast, some youtubers do it in under a week though). Finding it hard to decide if I want EOD for next wipe to get ahead, the DLC being included is the pushing factor for me, but I'll probably be better off saving ams buying the DLC as they come, even at $30 each is have to buy 4 DLC to waste money compared to EOD
Its simple you alvays start with the standard. And based how much time you play the game you update your account. After less than a year playing i end up with the final one. Because i feel the game worth that extra money. (And when you poor like me its easyer to afford in slices instead to instabuy the most expensive one)
basically, buy standard if you wanna play the game and grind. buy left behind if you want a little help but still wanna play and grind. buy prepare for escape if you want alot of shit and make it alot easier that standard. buy edge of darkness if you legit dont wanna do anything except play the game you dont have to grind anything, basically get to endgame right away.
If you get the standard edition and upgrade your stash size, does it get reset back to the original size after a wipe (I'm sorry if I missed this on the video)?
Yes if you play standard and upgrade your hideout to get a bigger stash, your stash goes back to normal standard after wipe since all your hideout progress gets reset.
I'm planning to buy a tarkov, but what happens if you run out of the loot? Will the game end or??? I'm just asking that if Tarkov can end like if you die with your loot etc. you can't play anymore or it's just like any other survival games where you can loot and play as much as you want.
Hey, I need the answer quick! If I buy the standard edition with the smallest stash edition and upgrade it to the max stash size do i keep the biggest stash size after the reset, or do I need to grind after the reset again, to have the max size?
@@FinestXI Dude I have another question If I buy the standard one and decided later on that I will upgrade to EOD will it give me the additional item the EOD has? Also that unique in game name with crown that you are talking about? Thank you in advance man!
I've had a standard account for 3 years, that being said this game isnt going anywhere but up! I'm upgrading to eod soon, and yes it's totally worth the money
I heard that from time to time everything gets wiped. Does this also affect the extra stash space I level up with the Hideout? And also how often do these wipes happen every 3 months, twice a year or once a year
So question my pc will be done tommorow im wanting to know should i buy EFT or DayZ ive played dayz on console but i can only get either or at the moment
Wrong, everything yoy get EOD is now available to standard since the addition of the hideout, only exception is the Gamma container, but people sell those on the flea market once they get the Kappa
Question I'm a new player to Tarkov (level 7) and I only purchased the standard edition because I wanted to make sure that I liked the game before spending more than $45 dollars on it. Turns out I am totally addicted and hooked to the game LOL I came over for COD because that game was just redundant and boring, I needed a new game that challenged me. I definitely got what I was looking for with Tarkov lol But my question is; If I purchase the Big boy edition and spend the $140 on the Edge of Darkness Edition, will I get to keep all the gear that comes with it after the next wipe or should I just wait til after the wipe to buy?
Every time the game wipes you reset with the same starter gear for your current edition. If you buy it now you should get all your upgraded stuff in the in game mail system
I just purchased the PfE edition for the new 12.12 wipe. I feel dirty because it is a CLEAR paid boost to my progression, but I sunk enough hours into it last wipe, including many spent scav-grinding the roubles for the Lucky Scav and the size 2 stash. Lots of time dicking around with stash management, too. I never even levelled up Jaeger past LL1 because he's so impossible to please, and easy to piss off by doing other trader quests. So the boost to trader rep is great, too.
I bought the cheapest one, because a) it´s the cheapest one b) never invest more money than necessary into beta software c) it give me the biggest challenge (the sole reason anyone should pick up a game)

You can upgrade your game type as you go, I advise everyone playing the game to start with standard and work your way up if you enjoy the game.
prepare to escape is only good because of the container and as a standard edition player I can say those 2 slots help so much
Considering how stash sizes and secure containers take ages for a tarkov player with standard edition to upgrade to, I don’t get how people don’t view eod/any more expensive edition outside of standard edition as p2w.
Just get standard edition and try and work your way up to a better stash size and secure container without paying for eod.
If you get everything handed to you automatically, it isn’t as much fun as working for it.
Only time I would be ok with someone getting it is if they are a casual.
I had to wait until level 10 to unlock the flea market
Or you can just buy any container from fence by filtering out the price and keep refreshing till u get one. Its very hard but possible , me and all my friends have done it from alpha container straight to gamma
How much did it cost?
@@jacobhingley 800k for beta
1 mil for epsilon
3.1 mil for gamma

Another amazing video FinestXI. Keep up the solid work man!
I am telling you, that Skadoodle on shoreline. that is as CoD as this game gets!
Also, at this point in the wipe, you'll be able to get a lot of things from the market for cheaper than the traders
I didn't watch the video, but the answer to this is objectively STANDARD VERSION!
They've added the hideout, so now you can upgrade in-game stuff to acquire everything (except Gamma case, but it's not that big of a deal cos they keep changing what you can(not) put in it, anyway).
I like the challenge anyways, but I cant even afford standard edition
Well, you can, if you can extract with the required items without BEING KILLED EVERY TIME.
well its 35€, so around 157PLN, that doesn't include tax, but with tax it's 193PLN. That's a lot, and that'ss just standard edition. I really like the game, my friend lend me their account for a day and i fell in love, but now i can't play on his account and can't afford the game. I'm heartbroken.
Ooo soo glad you told me that i can buy the standard edition n upgrade to the others later
Great videos my bro - just subbed. Keep it up! 👍
Took me three days to finish the punisher series. Epsilon was easy, full isn’t worth imo
I just got the first punisher quest. Any akm build recommendations?
I completely agree
@@memestrosity7522 dont stress it too much, you're just kicking scavs. Throw on a red dot, grab a better muzzle, and swap out the stock. Just stick to the main road. If you spawn anywhere near cabins, head to the gas station 3 to 4 scavs, then check lighthouse, make your way to weather station, 3 scavs, then head to the power station, 4 scavs, then head to the road exit and walk up and down the road, should be able to get 4 to 6 there.
@@thefunkadelic9814 alright thanks
You can just but epsilon for 1.4mil and kappa for 7.8mil approx
10:15 that's why it's always "left behind"
Very helpful video, thanks so much! (:
for me standard looks good becuse i love grinding in games it is the whole meaning of some games
hows The standard version going? Im about to buy it
@@IThinkIAmTheBreadOfficial aint got the money yet lmao
@@edennormous664 lol
Honestly sticking with standard because not just the money but I have an incentive tp continue grindin those quests to get the epsilon and eventually kappa.
Okay, question. Let's say you play standard and you go through all the trouble of upgrading to max stash and get the kappa. When the wipe happens though you are thrown back down to standard right? So yes you can get back up to where all the big stash and such are, but one reset and you have to climb back up?
It would appear so. I've been playing for not quite 2 months and just got the stash upgrade. So much more space but once the wipe hits gotta start from scratch :/
@@travishibachi frickin rip, looks like im upgrading then. I don't have the time to constantly be grinding like that
fun tio, if you want EOD, buy the 45$ then the EOD for 20$, it saves you about 2$ after VAT and you get extra gear.
Thanks for making this. Great help!
Buy the Beta container version. It's sufficiently convenient while not being as expensive as EOD
@aimnm141 I stopped playing but nah, don’t bother anymore
I bought and enjoy standard edition, have my maxed hideout and Kappa case after ~300hrs (though from people I talk to apparently this is pretty fast, some youtubers do it in under a week though). Finding it hard to decide if I want EOD for next wipe to get ahead, the DLC being included is the pushing factor for me, but I'll probably be better off saving ams buying the DLC as they come, even at $30 each is have to buy 4 DLC to waste money compared to EOD
bruh i got the same hours no kappa or upgraded max hideout, i got 30 mil iventory, and 10 mil
You get all the dlcs with eod
Tiny correction: Pistol case has changed to 2x2 (even though that's what it says in the text of EOD edition)
Its simple you alvays start with the standard. And based how much time you play the game you update your account.
After less than a year playing i end up with the final one. Because i feel the game worth that extra money. (And when you poor like me its easyer to afford in slices instead to instabuy the most expensive one)
I'm slowly using sales to upgrade, hopefully i can afford to get to EoD before launch to get that sweet free DLC deal
Giona Cantarutti bruh at the 23rd was a sale 20% off

video aged well, thanks youtube for the recomm
basically, buy standard if you wanna play the game and grind. buy left behind if you want a little help but still wanna play and grind. buy prepare for escape if you want alot of shit and make it alot easier that standard. buy edge of darkness if you legit dont wanna do anything except play the game you dont have to grind anything, basically get to endgame right away.
Tarkov is basically what if Fallout, Arma, and Tetris had a child.
So when wipe comes will i get all the stuff from escape edition back? Like the default guns n money n etc it comes with?
I'm planning to buy a tarkov, but what happens if you run out of the loot? Will the game end or??? I'm just asking that if Tarkov can end like if you die with your loot etc. you can't play anymore or it's just like any other survival games where you can loot and play as much as you want.
You can go as a SCAV and try to get loot, or with your main character just to loot dead boodies.
As long as you make use of ur secure container you'll never run out of meds or other stuff. Hope you got it and are enjoying it bro.
I wish it was still lvl 5 for flea market lol lvl 20 is a pain
Hey, I need the answer quick! If I buy the standard edition with the smallest stash edition and upgrade it to the max stash size do i keep the biggest stash size after the reset, or do I need to grind after the reset again, to have the max size?
You keep whatever you PAY for every single wipe! If you have standard and upgrade to EOD max stash, you will be EOD max stash for good!
@@FinestXI thanks man
@@FinestXI Dude I have another question If I buy the standard one and decided later on that I will upgrade to EOD will it give me the additional item the EOD has? Also that unique in game name with crown that you are talking about? Thank you in advance man!
buy standard edition, if you like it, buy prepare for escape or EOD
best tutorial ever dud . Big thanks!!!

i already own the standard version but am thinking about buy a better version and this helped a bit
I’m thinking of buying the EOD edition then giving my old standard account to my mate but in Australia the EOD edition of tarkov is $200 😓
Jesus shit! In sweden it costs around $103
Its not pay to win but it gives you a huge advantage??
logic
Thank's mate
I've had a standard account for 3 years, that being said this game isnt going anywhere but up! I'm upgrading to eod soon, and yes it's totally worth the money
I heard that from time to time everything gets wiped. Does this also affect the extra stash space I level up with the Hideout? And also how often do these wipes happen every 3 months, twice a year or once a year
It's as if you are opening the game for the first time, maybe twice a year at this point?
im debating should i buy it. its a lot of money even tho its gone down in price.
So question my pc will be done tommorow im wanting to know should i buy EFT or DayZ ive played dayz on console but i can only get either or at the moment
Everything you get with the expensive versions of the game is almost impossible to get for a beginner with a standard-edition
Wrong, everything yoy get EOD is now available to standard since the addition of the hideout, only exception is the Gamma container, but people sell those on the flea market once they get the Kappa
You can’t buy gamma on the market
@@RichyN25 lmao implying a beginner has 3.5 mil laying around, 24 hours for construction, and stash space for the bulky stuff needed
You can just buy eft money from Chinese sweat shops
@@roufdrapht 3.5 mil isn't a lot. Been playing for a week and have that much.
Whats your colour settings looks very good
There are Eroup and Russa. Which one is better? I heared it lock area.
If theres a wipe does my item from that pricier edition gonna resupplied or its gone too?
I was gonna save up and wait to get the EOD cause I thought that was the only way to get a big stash, I'd much prefer to grind.
Thank you!
No problem!
question: if i where to purchas standard addition, would i get EOD at a discount? or would i have to buy it sepretally. or do the edittions stack?
Yes the price of what you’ve already paid comes off the more expensive editions if you upgrade
@@FinestXI thanks brotha appreciate it!
So is the EOD stash size the maximum the game offers, or can you also expand it by a similar amount (Compared to standard edition)?
EOD stash is the largest you can obtain. You can upgrade to it just by playing and upgrading hideout, BUT, it’s hard to do
I bought the cheapest one, because
a) it´s the cheapest one
b) never invest more money than necessary into beta software
c) it give me the biggest challenge (the sole reason anyone should pick up a game)
1:11 did he really just suicide drop for one kill instead of shooting from above
So if I buy standard I can later upgrade to EOD and it is not gonna cost full EOD right?
Correct. Your account keeps track of your edition upgrades.
Either get standard or edge of darkness. Everything else is pointless
i just upgraded the account every month to see if i keep playing it and i still do. Big bucks to pay for a bigger stash xD
are the upgrades from the EOD edition persistent after a wipe ? i.e. the gamma container and the stash space .
Yes. Items reset. Order bonuses do not
