Rebekah Sandoval, I was 17 years old when the Wonder Girls had their hit song "Tell Me" in 2007. I became a huge fan and I followed them from then on. Then they tried to break through in America in 2009. I always wondered if people liked them or not and if it was worth all the effort. I'm happy you loved them too and that they got you into K-pop.

Yep. Their "Tell Me" and "Nobody" were such huge hits here in the Philippines. You would often hear the latter being played almost anywhere back in 2009.

It's a shame JYP threw them away. The WG made JYP Entertainment famous, if it wasn't for them, JYP wouldn't have been one of the Big Three Entertainments. WG was also the first Korean Group to make it big in America amd the fact that JYP had the guts to throw them away is unintelligent. Probably because they aired the song on all of the wrong networks. It was marketed to a younger audience for some reason.
Renegade Queen this was slightly before 1d got lots of recognition i think, girl groups/boy groups were REALLY unpopular and not taken seriously at that point (not like they are now though..) so it made sense to aim wg at a younger audience

I just came from the Mamadol mv after I realized one of the members looked familiar to me and saw comments saying one of the them was in wonder girls. Not gonna lie...if it wasn't for me watching this movie on Teen Nick back when it was released, I wouldn't have checked up on how the Wonder Girls had been since I heard Tell Me & Nobody back in 07-08. Now I've been listening to so many other groups for so long that I completely forgot 'bout this song. Brings back nostalgic memories about trying to remember their names and whatnot. Such great times ^~^

you might like john doe, baby don't play, or some other of their newer songs besides the singles. i find that their singles are the slower and less fun songs from their recent comebacks. not exactly like this, but they're catchy and fun. i would say those two are kind of like mamamoo's type of sound, if you like them.

Everytime I watch a MV about Korean singers/groups feat. an American singer/group, the Americans are always so bad, useless, stupid and so on in the eyes of the K-Pop fans.
I just ask myself why. I think Wonder Girls AND School Gyrls did a good job here. When I think of "Like Money" by Wonder Girls feat. Akon, I also enjoyed Akon's rap part and didn't think he was useless.
In usa the only group i liked was PCD, but singers from Korea its something else

in this version, it makes it like a competition between the girl groups to win the DJ so it makes it cool, especially the rap between the black girl and YuBin that is better like this :D
Because they think it's a competition instead of what it actually is -- a agreed collaboration between two parties who were probably happy to work together.
but competition is mostly because the music video makes it seem like they are fighting for the DJ. so that's why I like this version. Not because of a fight among the artists actually. It's just the concept of the song

Watching this movie with my friend, two groups I had loved collab-ing, was happy both to see Wonder Girls branchibg out and sort of get a second School Gyrls movie. BoA’s American album a year or two prior was actually what led me towards kpop for the first time but I was so excited by the time Wonder Girls we’re getting their American opportunities. I already loved School Gyrls (really only the original trio lineup but hey) and it just seemed like such a good idea to me. In hindsight, I can see why things went wonky but I was definitely super impressed at the time
This would’ve been more Iconic with the Original 3 School Gyrls plus the other two and then the Wonder Girls
