- A different newness from the past, EvoL's mini-album "Make it explode!"
EvoL's members were recruited based on those who were fascinated with the production concept of seeking to create a K-pop girl group that had evolved one step further. The members are not only singer-songwriters, which has become natural for artists of Stardom, but also show power and boldness in their choreography, vocals, and concept.
The leader Say and main rapper Jucy participated in the lyrics, music, and song formation since the beginning of their training period, resulting in their debut not with a single but a mini-album.
Consisting of 5 tracks, prominent new producers, including Xepy, Rhythm King, Kim Yong-Hyun, Park Ha-Ra, and Daniel Kim, took part in the mini-album.
The agency announced that songs amounting to a full album had been selected and recorded in advance and although they would like to have fans listen to as many songs as soon as possible, they would take a step-by-step approach.
One should pay attention to whether Evol, seeking newness and powerfulness as their shocking title suggests, will indeed make the world of K-pop explode.

結成前から一段とアップグレードしたK-POPガールズグループを目指して作られた'EvoL'は、このようなコンセプトに魅了されて志望したメンバーたちで構成された。'スターダム'所属で、今は当たり前になってしまったシンガーソングライターとしての才能はもちろん、ダンス、ボーカル、コンセプトなどすべての面で強烈さと大胆さを見せている。
チームリーダーのSay（セイ）とメインラッパーのJUCY（ジューシー）は、練習生の初期から作詞・作曲や曲の構成に参加しており、その結果新人であるにもかかわらずシングルではなくミニアルバムでデビューすることができるほど多くの曲を確保することができた。
全5曲で構成されたミニアルバムは、ゼフィ、rhythm king、キム・ヨンヒョン、パク・ハラ、ダニエル・キムなど、傑出した新人プロデューサーたちが大挙参加した。
所属事務所側は、収録曲のほかすでにアルバム分量の選曲と録音が進められており、多くの曲を早く聞かせたいところだが、戦略的に着々とアプローチしていく計画だと話した。
破格的なタイトルのように新しさと強烈さを標榜したEvoLがK-POPワールドを爆破してくれるか帰趨が注目される。

팀리더 Say(세이), 메인래퍼 JUCY(쥬시)등은 연습생 초기부터 작사, 작곡과 곡 구성에 동참해 왔으며 그 결과 신인임에도 싱글이 아닌 미니앨범으로 데뷔 할 수 있을 만큼 많은 곡을 확보
할 수 있었다.
총 5곡으로 구성 된 미니 앨범은 제피, rhythm king, 김용현, 박하라, 다니엘 김 등 걸출한
신예 프로듀서들이 대거 참여하였다.
소속사 측은 수록곡 외에도 이미 앨범 분량의 선곡과 녹음이 진행되어 있음을 알리며 가능한 많은 곡을 빨리 들려드리고픈 욕심이 앞서지만 차근차근 전략적으로 접근하겠다고 밝혔다.
파격적인 타이틀처럼 새로움과 강렬함을 표방한 EvoL이 K-POP월드를 폭파해줄지 귀추가 주목된다.

Yeah, I actually thought that they were gonna be one of the big ones when I saw this vid 4yrs ago.
Stardom messed this group up. They had great potential with this song but I think with all the drama involving Block B + the poor sales of Get Up forced Stardom to cut his losses and focus on Top Dogg. Who from what I gathered had their own issues as well. EvoL's concept was really designed to capitalize on the "hey group members write their own songs" trend that Block B and Zico really pioneered in mainstream K-pop.

The funniest part is I used to work for Kia Motors(a Korean car company) and a Dominican guy I worked with loved this song and we used to dance it out in the aisles when nobody was around.

Unlikely. EvoL ended on bad terms. Say was basically given preferential treatment by the company while the rest were forced to perform. Even if this song did get big by korean GP....I doubt the members would want to come back

In the fall of 2015, the member Say began a solo project under the name "$aay Choreography" and redebuted as a solo artist in 2017 under the stage name SAAY, releasing her first full album in May 2018.
Hayana also redebuted as a solo artist in 2017, and has released three singles.
In October 2016, J-Da joined the group Oh!Bliss, using her real name YeonJoo.
I’m not sure about the other two members though.

EvoL could have been amazing and would have made it big. I really loved them and there was something different about them during that era. I remember they had so much hype back then too but the company really fcked up especially with their other groups under it.

It is true that they have that kind of 2ne1 way but they also have it their own way. I mean they are not a copy of 2ne1 but they got some 2ne1 in them. The difference is that Evol has a sexier concept and 2ne1 is more 2ne1 you know. But I never pretended to say they are the second 2ne1 because of course they are not.
