Rosko Gee - bass
Randall Bramblett - flute, saxophone
Michael McEvoy - keyboards, guitar, percussion
Walfredo Reyes, Jr. - drums, percussion
Summary:
This is the complete set, in excellent quality. Chris Wood is sadly missed (it takes 3 musicians to fill his shoes), but Winwood and Capaldi are both in great form and one couldn't ask for a better setlist. Видеоклипы
he brings new meaning to "play the piano" he plays it delightfully - I can tell he is having fun. The sax is also wonderful.
I saw Traffic live in 1970 at the outdoor Cincinnati festival, with Grand Funk, Mountain, the Bob Seger System, and a bunch of others. I was right down front, with my hand on the edge of the stage. Hard to believe, looking back...
so so jealous! What I would have given to see them then! Many happy hours listening to them in college esp the low spark of high heeled boys!
Great mix of talent & genres, what fun! 🥳🎵
I Hate U. 😂
Crazy underrated band/ musicians
60's n 70's ROCKED .. Nothing Better!! 😊
68 yrs young, Vietnam Veteran, carried my happy ass all over Austin Texas when I got home from the Navy, SRV, Willie & Waylon, Music was alive and everywhere man, bands breezed thru Texas and we were there, what a great time, I agree 150%
Steve Winwood is one of the greatest ever. So many great songs thanks to him.
Brillant band ..May 2019
Most people don't know all that Jim Capaldi brought to Traffic = he wrote all the lyrics, played drums, percussion, sang lead and backing vocals, brought in outside musicians like Jim Gordon, the muscle shoals rhythm section
He also came up with the name for the band!!!
@@chrisnolan5607 at least he didn't kill himself like his contemporary, Keith Emerson.....
Windows es una bendición de Dios. Espectacular músico y con gran corazon
@@chrisnolan5607 Gracias por el dato. Abrazos desde Bogotá Colombia 🇨🇴😚💕
I have nothing but admiration for human beings when a few can do this.
Man, to be 1974 again and almost 20 yrs young, I knew Traffic then but I only knew them then, today I LOVE them,
Amazing! I love Traffic and most of Winwood's music. I remember first hearing one of their albums in 1968 I was 14 years old. It felt like something awesome.
It doesn't get any better than this.
THERE WAS NO ONE LIKE STEVE WINWOOD. I remember listening to this album when I was 31 and diggin it big time. Now, I am in awe of him. Truly one of the best musicians ever. The entire band is friggin phenomenal. WOW!!
Pound for pound, SW best living musician.
Amen to that!
He’s still alive
He is Superman...
Dang! Didn't think the original could get any better!
There are times when this lineup seems as magical as the 68 and 72 versions. Of course we are blessed by them all.
Just Simply phenomenal, Steve Winwood just incredible along w/the rest of the band mates ,when musicians were extraordinary ✌️✌️✌️
Winwood👍👍Capaldi👍👍traffic 💪💪
M y older brother had this album. Ill never forget traffic. Im 63 and i was too young then to appreciate this music but Stevie Winwood and kariku on drums live on in my mind. Amazing
I just love true musical talent. Nice to see Jim Capaldi vital and rippin'!
He is one of the reasons I've been playing keyboards for over 40 years now.... I really love his music !
BEST BAND AT '94 WOODSTOCK, HANDS DOWN!
I appreciate Steve Winwood more and more as I grow older.
This guy playing the sax and the flute, wow
Giving me complete life in 2022. Such effortless transition from flute to sax. Bravissimo Sir Bramlett!!!
I was there. Saturday morning, come out ripping.
Back when music was beautiful and meant something!
Way back when we were young.
YOUR MA\KIN ME CRY BUZ. How right you are. Truly loved the era we grew up in. SO grateful.
Sentimental tripe! Many great bands originated then, BUT MUCH GREAT MUSIC IS STILL BEING MADE. CAUGHT STEVE HACKET'S BRILLIANT ACTS?!
@@robertfranklin8704 Tell that to Mozart. Your ignorance is showing.
@@IBenZik What the hell are you trying to say? If you want to appear in a public space, learn to communicate adequately, or you are merely talking to your own ego!
There is NO SUCH THING as a "Little Bit" of Flute. This pipe man is TEARING IT UP!! WELL DONE.
Randall Bramblett coming through *again*! Adding this comment in 2021: check out Randall’s latest on the New West label, Pine Needle Fire. A “best of 2020” release for sure!
Right on
Plays a mean sax too.
Chris Wood, one of the best
And equally as good on the sax!! Phew!
Im shedding tears. This is frikkin awesome! My memories of decades ago are nothing short of magnificent....thanx RUclips and Jesus Christ.
I am so with you MIchael Scott. omg. loved it years ago and luvin it more now. SO Frikken grateful!!!
@@joannabuck4027 Thank you Joanna. Gratitude, I believe , is the new precious metal of the "New Frontier" wel find ourselves being ushered into.
Such a fine, fused band experience ! Such a wailing, rocking intro to a second smash hit ! Steve Winwood - the real deal !
One of my favorite albums, John Barleycorn. Great to see Jim capladi really playing the drum kit. !! Randall bramblett from sea level also really great!!
Correct..Capaldi
oregonbobv - Bramlett is great. I love his singing and playing on Sea Level's "Cats on the Coast."
Not many agree, but I thought John Barleycorn was their best. I had them all.
Holy moly!!! You’re acquainted with Sea Level?!!!!! My son found my album and loved it! He was a musician. He passed away @ 35yo in my arms heart attack but he loved sea level. Thank you you for entry to remind me. I have me so much vinyl including John Barleycorn. You made my night. I’m turning 64 in a couple weeks and my son and I were huge Beatles and people. We would sing When I’m 64 together and I truly didn’t expect he wouldn’t be around to sing it with on my birthday. Music was one of our passions !
Steve Genius! 🙌
Really great sax playing. Love me some tenor.
Worthy replacement to Chris...
Traffic unique all great musicians, so many fantastic bands in 60s and 70s blazing a path to the stars! Just like a star slowly all burning up turning to dust. Barman pour me another song, one more before dawn!
John Barleycorn, one of my favorites albums ever
One of the most underrated albums ever.
Maybe because it is a perfect album.
One of my favorite albums in '71 . . . .
The best from the best......this is pure soul gratification.......enjoy......
Thank you for posting this. Always my favourite Traffic song. A brilliant mixture of rock/soul/jazz. The sound quality finally does justice to the recordings available. Love it!!
So “Glad” this was on my home page! Hope you all had a great Resurrection Day! Be made Blissful!
Let's not forget the brilliance of Jim Capaldi!
Just perfect... this line up is really good. Chris Wood is no more here, but R. Bramblett is playing with same feeling.
Steve is really one of the best
Maybe Bramblett better than Wood. Very good Tenor sound
So good.
Great !!! One of my favorite bands 🎶💎
Good time music! I love the piano!
1969 first time i heard traffic.. and loving them still
A fantastic music performer is Winwood from his days with Spencer Davis to now can play so many different instruments perfectly and also a great singer love all Traffic albums especially John Barnycorn Steve Winwood will be known as one of the greatest musicians of all time
I was there for this!!!
beautiful. You have to wonder at the person who gives it a thumbs down. That makes no sense. Just go away and dont listen.
they have no knowledge of music. Don't concern yourself. Enjoy the greatness that you can appreciate!
I've loved Stevie Winwood since wayback!
grandi e unici Steve Winwod e Jim Capaldi, i Traffic leggenda
Excellent jam!
Que delicia volver a escucharlos a mis 68 años, hoy es oct 23/ 2022😘🙏✝️💕💕 Gracias 😘
When you have this beautiful weather, this many people and such complicated orchestra you know an important message is being delivered and God is among us.
Man! This was thirty years ago! RIP Jim C.
Saw him in '69... and that was some good weed! Fantastic experience... will never forget it.
Simply GREAT.........
Great Music We Forget how good
Love this!
I wonder if people who hear/watch this today & have never heard it before love it as we did all those years ago. It was unique then, as it still is today.
timeless has no boundaries or limit
Steve Winwood forever! ❤️
This is my favorite song from Traffic
Can’t get enough of this music!! The only thing we have left are the RUclips videos and our memories of actually being there…
Stevie Winwood is one of the most beautiful keyboard players. His keyboard solo on Well Alright on Blind Faith is my favourite.
He kicks ass on guitar too!
I used to blast this in my panel truck driving down the main street on my hometown. This was the most progressive music before fusion.
It's a beautiful thing!!!!
Another classic Traffic Jam. Side one of "John Barleycorn Must Die" . One of the best side one's of any album of all time!
love this song - reminds me of freshman year at college tripping!
What a superstar band.
Sensational !
outstanding
Nostalgia di quel periodo musicalmente ispirato e speciale...
I have loved traffic since I first heard them at the age of 10.I really do miss Chris wood, though. I am a great lover of heavy metal/extreme metal, but ever so often I listen to my dose of traffic... R I P, Rebop kwaku baah, Chris wood and more recently, Jim capaldi. You are missed, always. I can only hope you are living on in a better dimension...
@Davie McEvoy "I have loved traffic since I first heard them at the age of 10.I really do miss Chris wood, though." Word for word, true for me as well. I saw them every time they were in NYC, just the 4 of them - Winwood, Capaldi, Mason and Wood, THEY WERE PHONOMINAL, always. I loved the band and Winwood et al, but I watched Chris the most, he was just wonderful. RIP
Excellent live version! Also, thanks for listing the band personnel.
7:50 to 8:40 is just the best. Could listen to that all day.
Love this song and love that part you mentioned. Can listen to it all day and I've listened to it a thousand times
Agreed - they all take off at this point!
I could listen to all of it, all day....
@Nickstermc Sending link to Finnish flutist Heline; composes, plays, records her own 🎶 Has live "Coffee Talk" playing & Reacts (I sent this clip for Freedom Rider, others requested it too). Link is to her reaction to Jethro Tull, My God, '70 Isle of Wight, live; her responses are priceless:

When Steve goes into jazz mode 😎😎
I was there standing in the audience all day and Traffic was awesome! We heard all these great artists like Red Hot Chilli Pepper with huge light bulbs on their heads and then ending with Peter Gabriel and 'Biko'.!
WOWWW!!! You hear and see some of these instruments more specifically and I never saw some of these instruments the guy on the tom toms with the wind chimes, the triangle and the cowbells was playing. The orchestration is AMAZING!!! The flute. The way Winwood plays the piano. Those incredible panoramas made you feel alive too.
Jim Capaldi on Drums!
Rock music at it's very best#
Outstanding...crackin performance by Steve & the band, lovin the bassist groovin to this
My all time fav
So thankful i found this 🙏 been on repeat ever since 🙌

Awesome! Love the sax solo.
Love Traffic 💖💖💖
Traffic ain't plastic
This song came down from heaven to earth
It's almost as beautiful as a mother giving birth
But always remember to put God first

Fantastic!
I LOVE Traffic! :-)
Grandissimi!
I'd put my headphones on, let the LP keep running, crash a few hours. Wasn't long until it warped (only the albums I loved did). I 💖 how album-true they played, adding flourishes w/o changing the flavor.
Super Sonic Oasis super Sonic
Marvelous
Excellent job
Someone on twitter asked for great songs with piano included.
Song #1 = right here.
Thumbs down to the 20 knuckleheads that thumbs downed this track.
WOW I agree, I Didn’t Think That Their Were That Many Dumb People in the World…😂.
Watching This At 71 years Old…❤
more sax, give me more.....love it .......
I would play this album at 45 and no one would know until the second song.
HE IS ONE OF THE BIG ONES. ETERNAL..
