I saw him live in 2008. He opened up for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and me and my parents were like what a crazy and amazing performer you are. He played higher love and he had the all the audience everyone in the pavilion and everyone on the lawn singing with it, and we are all like that’s amazing Steve you’re on fire And then he played back in the highlife and we all sang out to it. We had our lighters going and stuff is a great concert and then I saw him again in 2017 opening up for Steely Dan and he played all his songs even give me some loving, and High heeled, a low struck boys, and when he played that song, he had all the audience sing along with that one too, and we all sing out the words to it and we’re like we love you Steve and he was playing the Oregon if no one has played before

Winwood is one of my favourite musicians. Seen him several times in concert, mainly in London. I'd love to go to a gig at the Greek one day - all of my favourite musicians have played there.
John Barleycorn ... was earlier, I think. And he played with Clapton and Ginger Baker in Blind Faith. They recorded Can't Find My Way Home and Presence of the Lord. And before that with The Spencer Davis Group, he sang "I'm a Man" at age 15, I think. Check some of those songs out - you'll love them ...
Not counting his band Traffic, which are excellent and a must to have and a few of his solo albums, Blind Faith is my Go to album. His shows with E Clapton are very worthy of a listen. Thanks for posting!
What a fantastic recording - thank you for posting! Steve Winwood is truly one of the greatest ever and I am so glad I've had the opportunity to catch him live many times. Awesome performance and recording!
i was too cool to listen to this back in my heavy metal heaven days..now i regret not givn this its props bitd... we close our eyes, ears minds, we miss the point

Saw him with Eric Clapton in 2010, then saw him with the present lineup in this video in 2012 at a smaller Hard Rock venue. The set list we are watching is perfectly suited for a more intimate setting. Really great show.
"Come down from your throne and leave your body alone. Somebody must change." We all need to be changed by the only God and Creator Jesus, the Savior of souls. Come to Jesus with your brokenness. He sees and hears everything, and cares about all your needs, and good desires. He will save you and take you to heaven, if you give Him your whole broken heart and life to gain eternal joyous life. Rock on Steve and guys. Jesus loves you. So, put Lord and Saviour Jesus first in your Jesus-given life.

Sorry, I've got to add a dissenting voice here. As a 'hard-core' 'dyed in the wool' Steve Winwood fan, from the days of Spencer Davis Group, it hurts my heart and ears to hear some formerly great RB/blues material being turned into latin-tinged, NPR/PBS pablum. I know, Steve likes to try new versions of old stuff, I get that. That is to his credit. But, change for the sake of change, seldom has good results. My point is, sometimes you gotta adhere to that good ol' piece of wisdom; "if it ain't broke, don't "fix" it.
I was at this concert & resented Steve not being able to switch to piano, perhaps his best instrument after his incredible voice. He was trapped behind his B-3 needing to pedal thru the bass parts. An Artist of his pedigree should have a bass player who sings backup vocals & a pair of backup singers would be perfect.
Steve winwood has to be one of the most talented musicians that ever roamed the earth.
PERIOD
His RUclips performance on Letterman in 1984 is incredible. Gimme Some Lovin gave me the chills.
He played in so many key bands. Low Spark is the best song ever written too
@@garyolshan4177also the way the band backed him then and the time after.

Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana and many more Blues greats are among the best in the World, thank you for sharing
Winwood is one of those all around musicians and has a distinct voice.
He's simply great.
definitely a multi instrumentalist, not the least of which is his voice. A great.

TO GROUSE I WAS LIVING ON BOURBON ST. IN 71 NEXT TO JEAN LAFITTE STABLE AND I AGREE THAT WAS MY FAVORITE PLAYED IT ALL THE TIME.
YES!
When musicians get up in the years, they slow their rock music to ballots style, not Stevie Winwood. All time great❤
I'd bet that without the razmataz percussion of the opening cut, Winwood'd soliloquy a tasty tirade. I'm such a fan of the man's solos.

Woops, obviously a five piece!
Take him over Clapton any day.
No questions about it. He is a much more talented and humble.
