It's 2021... Some are in chaos, but I'm back in 1971, 11 years old and working on Jeeps in the garage with my dad listening to Traffic. He turned me on to so much great music. RIP Pops...
I graduated H.S.in 70 music was so fine my son who just turned 31 still listens to stuff I did in his young years and guess what he also calls me POP'S makes me proud as I am of him. Hope you have been blessed with a son that loves you like you do your pops

@@larryh.4629 Being a mom.. I would pick up my kids.. On the hip.. When music was playing on the stereo.... We would dance to 'Floyd'... And any and all rock when they started to walk... Holding tiny hands in my hands as we swayed and just letting go a step at a time. All to rock... I did my grand kids the same way... :-) good memories!!
Thinking about you and your lost Pops. Stay strong.

Underrated by whom? Not by me for sure. One of the best band Ever
He was "Little Stevie Winwood" when "Blind Faith" hit the music scene.. Hail, Hail for the many years of Steve Winwood entertaining his fans, older like I am or you younger fans!
Reading all these comments I realize I'm in good company! Would love to party and rock out with everyone!! Rock will never die!!!🤘🏻
Ban the word ‘underrated’. Almost every great musician has someone saying they’re underrated: I would bet that it has more to do with the he psychology of the commenter than that being commented upon.

I discovered Winwood in Blind Faith and i cried that Blind Faith was so short-lived. Can't Find My Way Home is one of my all time favs. But Traffic saved me. Winwood is a total class act and an extraordinary musician, everybody wants to play with him which is a testimony to the person he is. He also brings back the days of my youth when There was infinite possibility and no fear. What a generational talent.

We still have a radio station in town modeled on the old, "play anything good no matter the genre". Both old and new bands. Classic, current, hip-hop jazz, big band. It doesn't matter. If it's good, the dj susses it out and plays it. It reminds me of our old radio stations. Everyone was exposed to all music. It was truly a gift.

When I've been in the Garage working on my Road Runner, my children walk by and hear this music and other great groups and wonder what world I'm living in. They will never know the pleasures of the 60's and 70's. I still live in the memories .
I'm right with you Rene, a young teen in the 60's, and as great as it was all I would hear is watch what the future will hold ,so if that is the case and here we are in the " future" why is it that we would so love to go back. Those were the last of the best times.

Arc of a diver was the album my husband and I used to listen to every Friday afternoon, work week done, time to grill a steak and have a few beers. He's been gone almost 7 years now, but hearing any song from Arc of a Diver brings back wonderful memories ❤

I think that what made this era's music so great was that the influence of the previous decades of Jazz's dominance still came through. Music was a tapestry - not flat like recent decades.

Sitting in dark dorm room, burning a doobie and soaking up this song, as soon as this song started it took me right back there, love it.
Haven’t heard that song in 40 years. Still sounds good.
Only a very few come along in each generation. Winwood is a musical giant of his.
In Houston, fall 1971, while going to Rice University some 900 miles from home, I took a beautiful girl, a great friend of mine, to a concert: Fairport Convention; J Geils Band; Traffic. Unbelievable! Mellow, then R&R, then mellow. Peaced out, by the time we were back within the Hedges. This music triggered that deep satisfaction, so that all I needed or wanted was to sit on the couch and lovingly kiss her, my friend Kelly. Nothing was missing. Being a Hammond guy myself, a freshman, I did Find My Way Home.
Maybe that’s the year they played at Loyola in New Orleans…? Good times
I went to Pasta University. Also, if there's Fairport, then where's Unfairport?
The groove in this song transports you to another dimension.

When music had adventure, style and dedicated to the social change that was inevitable and well needed. Have been lucky enough to see Traffic and Steve Winwood. Make it real. You have no idea of the power cohesive changes made with like minded people come together they are sick of the old and want change. Real talent for real people. And I’d do all again.
