The movie follows the George A. Romero zombie rules very closely. You said you've seen Dawn of the Dead, but it sounds like you're talking about the 2004 remake. Check out the 1978 original, along with the other two Romero classic - Night of the Living Dead, and Day of the Dead for some original vintage zombie stuff that gets referenced in this movie.
Please do Hot Fuzz, if you haven't already. It's the same team as Shaun, same key actors, same director. In fact, they're part of the so-called Cornetto Trilogy, with the third entry called World's End, and I recommend all three.
I'll be stealing a BOAT, mate. A boat has all the facilites. Generators, fridge, kitchen, comfort. Anchor offshore. Do raids on ships and land, when it's safe. The only thing safer than that is a submarine lol
Yes simon pegg who plays shaun and the director of the movie edgar Wright co wrote shaun of the dead, as well as 2 other movies called hot fuzz and the worlds end. All 3 movies form the cornetto trilogy.
9:15 I read somewhere that Simon Pegg said the zombies in this movie are slow because well... "Death is not an energy drink" 😂😂 Funniest sh*t ever, and true!
The star and director of Shaun of the Dead appeared as zombies in George A. Romero's Land of the Dead. Romero is generally positive about derivations of his work, and has said that any new horror film is a step forward.
the Shirt guy is Dylan Moran, he is a comedian and highly entertaining. You should check out his stand up. In the old stuff he is usually out of his mind drunk. Very sardonic kind of humour. His "Like, Totally" is my favourite.
I never noticed that the closest cashier in the title sequence is the girl in the garden. I must have seen this film 8 times already. Huh. I guess you notice something new each time, even if it's 20 years later!
You caught a glimpse of how sharp Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg can be with their screenwriting. But they go off the fucking chain in Hot Fuzz. You have to see it.
However, the DVD bonus features of the film revealed that Dianne survived the ordeal. She used David's leg to fight her way through the horde, then climbed up a tree behind the zombie horde and passed out. She woke up later and found the Winchester had burned down. Dianne survived by eating David's leg.
21:00 Yes, I've watched every Romero zombie film multiple times. Plus this one time in middle school I pretended to be mentally handicapped and lost in Rite-Aid so that my friends could sneak around and.. well you know. We all do stupid stuff as kids, and Shaun is growing out of that in this movie!
yeah 100% would be outside and would ever go into a place if necessary also would wear armor that is durable but light enough for me to run fast in and also use melee weapons mainly sword but a few others plus bow and arrows and us guns last or if i really need it more but that way i can also stock up on that kind of stuff
If you’re going to watch Hot Fuzz, I hope you do it soon. It’s not a sequel, but it has a lot of the same people involved, and it’s solid fun. It will be better if Shaun is still fairly fresh in your mind.
also i found out a few years ago the 4 eyes girl actually survived some how in a comic where she ended up in a tree after going after her guy who died and either she lived or died in that tree i don't remember but i found it interesting
This is a very difficult movie for people to react well to. You annoyingly did so well, catching the little things and noting them. Now I have to check out dozens of your other videos. 🤦♂️
I'm curious about your opinion on the, "whatsup *****", line. He's obviously an idiot, has a lack of understanding, and doesnt mean it maliciously, but its still the N word. This generation of British kids grew up with hip hop culture being a new and exciting phenomena and knowing little or nothing about African-American language and culture. This was my generation too. When I first heard, "Pump the Jam" and i didnt understand what the lyrics meant at all. It was all so new. We grew up with PE, NWA, LL Cool J, Ice-T, and so on. Hence his, "yeh, boiii," 😀
i meam ive been preparing my zombie kit lol i got first aid kit, a axe, tent i just need me a bow n arrow n im good lol n id rather be a enclosed space preferably a costco,bj, sam or a school something strong foundation n a kitchen etc n generators
Simon Pegg and the director Edgar Wright along with Nick Frost wrote this.
'Hot Fuzz', 'Paul' and 'The World's End' are also fun to watch.
I even like Hot Fuzz more than this one, he has to watch it asap.
@@Trucador15best of them
Hot Fuzz was great. I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed with 'The World's End' - felt like Simon Pegg doing a Jack Sparrow impression.
@@wojtek5385 I feel it worked because the character was supposed to be a complete loser. But I get that that could still be annoying.
and please tell me ur gonna watch hot fuzz after this!!!
He BETTER. And then do the last in the trilogy, "The world's end"
Ed is the worst friend. And also simultaneously the best. 😂
Great reaction! This movie is so good! You gotta watch Hot Fuzz & At World's End now!!!
The world's end, hot fuzz and shaun of the dead are some of my favorite comedies
I had the same reaction 18:00
This is how I know you have great taste, this is one of my all time fav movies, 😉
going into the basement was direct reference to Night Of The Living Dead. This movie is pure gold to Romero zombie movies
"not the Sade" I remember taking so much offense to that scene when I was younger 😂😂
They're kinda overrated 😮

Yessss watch the rest of the Cornetto trilogy, and then all of Edgar Wright's other movies!!
You caught Martin Freeman from the MCU, but you missed Shaun's roommate Pete. He's in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Dope reaction bro! Edger Wright is a Genius in my eyes..
Let's go Hot Fuzz !
You said 'get dem cheeks' @23:25

I think this was actually the first zombie movie I saw ever and cant belive how scared I was of them lol
Love the film. One of my favorite comedies. Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright are great. Hot Fuzz is great too.
Please watch Hot Fuzz and World's End. Those two movies are part of this tonal trilogy with Shaun of the Dead.
9:15 I read somewhere that Simon Pegg said the zombies in this movie are slow because well... "Death is not an energy drink" 😂😂 Funniest sh*t ever, and true!
The uptight housemate at the start - he's the guy who voiced Darth Maul in star wars :)
U should watch World War Z those zombies were insanely fast! I can totally watch you enjoy movies. Subbed
The Cornetto trilogy is legit

You really have to watch Hot Fuzz next it's brilliant

I reckon in this universe at least, upstairs for the win. Just stay quiet
I dunno man, I've gotten overwhelmed by slow moving zombies in games ; ).
grew up watching it and love it and when ever me or my dad a make a groaning sound we do what they did with that zombie after leaving the pub
I never noticed that the closest cashier in the title sequence is the girl in the garden. I must have seen this film 8 times already. Huh. I guess you notice something new each time, even if it's 20 years later!

The orangutan imitation was specifically from the movie Any Which Way But Loose with Clint Eastwood. You should check it out
The Don't stop me now clip os my favourite out of this whole movie

This is the first movie in the Cornetto Trilogy. Followed by Hott Fuzz and The World's End.
bro im so happy you enjoyed the film you laughed through out
@28:40 So if I go to your Patreon I'll be able to see the gory scene that wasn't allowed on RUclips?
Yes you will ! I only bleep strong nudity out but other that that you can see it all

Pretty sure I remember her surviving, and also managing to get one of his limbs, a leg if I recall. Hey, save what you can.
Brian just in case you can see this, id recommend you watch and review land of the lost with bianca, its a great movie (in my opinion at least)
11:50 rooftop
My favorite of the cornetto trilogy. You are doing yourself a disservice to not watch all 3.
Im doing hot fuzz next week. I didn't know there was another until yaw said something
I’d rather be outside
How is it you first time
